It is a tremendous honor for me to have been named Citizen of the Year for 2022 through the Fair Oaks Chamber. Additionally, I am thrilled to announce that I have been appointed as the new Fair Oaks Honorary Mayor. I am a proud member of the Fair Oaks Rotary club. Giving back to my community is a core value for me, which is why I support a different nonprofit organization each month and organize various community events throughout the year. Being a part of Fair Oaks Rotary, I firmly believe in the principle of "Service above self." Fair Oaks Cemetery was founded on October 21, 1902, on 1/2 acre of land in Fair Oaks, CA. The cemetery facilities now cover 12 acres, and we perform approximately 200 burials each year
The Fair Oaks Cemetery is a Public Cemetery District, providing burial for all qualifying district residents and their families Our prices are considerably less than private cemeteries because our operating budget is subsidized by property taxes paid by district residents/property owners, yet we are able to provide most comparable services as private
We take great pride in our park like setting, with gently sloping hills, oak trees, and plants and shrubs With the chirping of birds and gentle breezes, Fair Oaks Cemetery provides a serene and calm atmosphere for visiting loved ones in their final place of rest

I'll start! My name is Michelle. I’ve been in the Sacramento area my whole life and love having my roots here. I graduated from Hiram Johnson MAIN campus, toooo long ago to admit (Go Warriors!), then a little later I received my degree in Biology from Sac State (Stingers Up!). Now I am living my best life as a boy mom and wife in the suburbs.
When I set my camera down, I busy myself with my day job in the office, and planning some sort of event. You can also find me making a paw-sitive impact in our community by fostering kittens and other small creatures for our local animal shelters. Our three black cats; Catnip, Clover, & Casper tolerate the revolving door of furry friends in our home, but sometimes it gets a little crowded. Many say I'm one cat short of crazy, but I embrace that with open arms!
Glitter is my favorite color, and I FIRMLY believe that mascara is a girl's best friend. I love playing dress up - and for me, Halloween is not just a holiday, it's a lifestyle. Disneyland holds a special place in my heart, and I can't get enough of Cirque du Soleil shows. I go every year and highly recommend it to ALL my artsy friends. The atmosphere is intoxicating!
As a proud high school “Band Mom” I am always ready to Rock & Roll! I'd love to be your photographer for your next event, kiddos game, or special moment!

a message from your President / CEO
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support during my time as President/CEO of the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce It has truly been an honor to serve this community where I have lived and raised my family for the past 26 years
When we moved to Northern California, Fair Oaks wasn’t even on our radar We explored several other areas until our realtor introduced us to the house we now call home My husband instantly fell in love with it After meeting our wonderful neighbors and building our lives here, I can confidently say we made the right choice Fair Oaks is such a special community
I became involved with the Chamber in 2006, eight years after moving here, when I volunteered for the classic car show. Although it drove me a little crazy working the event, I felt I could organize it better and help generate more funds for the Chamber. This event then became my passion for the next 13 years something to remember when you're considering a new project! Fast forward to 2013, when a board member encouraged me to apply for the position of Executive Director. After a month of anticipation, I received the news: “You’re hired!” Oh, the stories I could share from that time though that's a conversation for another day.
Serving in this position for the past decade has been an incredible honor. This role has presented challenges frustrations, comical moments, and the great responsibility of overseeing large events from start to finish Each success along the way is a point of pride that I hold close to my heart While the countless hours dedicated to this role have been demanding, the friendships I've formed, the business connections I've made, and the personal growth I've experienced have made it all worthwhile I thrive under pressure and often find creative solutions at the last minute, which adds an element of excitement to my work
None of this would have been possible without the steadfast support of my board of directors and my amazing family, who have stood by my side through it all As I look forward to the year ahead, I am excited to put my vision into action for the continued success of Fair Oaks Thank you once again for your belief in me and for being part of this incredible community!
