Our World, Your Choices Our environment is changing. Crewkerne Museum reflects on how people lived in the past and whether this could inform choices today. The younger generation will be invited to contribute their ideas. Music, Mud, Mayhem A celebration of festivals and fetes. This star-studded exhibition in the Somerset Rural Life Museum brings together photographs from 20 years of the iconic Glastonbury Festival. The images have been captured by Somerset-based photographer Jason Bryant. His personal favourites have been chosen for the exhibition marking the return of this year’s live festival. More than 50 iconic performances, from 1997 to present day.
Noah’s Ark Zoo is hosting a herd of 26 hand painted unique life size baby Elephant Sculptures. It forms a trail over the 100 acres of North Somerset countryside combining art, conservation, education and lots of fun. Cribbs Summer Beach Visit the golden sandy beach, complete with palm trees and water play fountains at the front of The Mall, Cribbs Causeway near the garden. There will be a dedicated ice cream van with cold treats. Dress Code: Fashion Stories from the Box Exhibition dedicated to fashion, highlights from Plymouth’s The Box’s costume and textile collection will be displayed alongside paintings, drawings, film and archival material to tell important local and international stories about fashion and clothing. It spans the 1700s to today and speaks to contemporary conversations about identity, sustainability, shopping, design, making and craft.

Trail of Tales Outside School Holidays. Take a trip around Dunster and hear stories from the past 1000 years. The trail will take you around the gardens and up to the castle. Along the way you will hear tales of different characters who have visited, worked or lived in the castle over the last 1000 years and complete activities and answer questions.

Exhibition of children’s book illustrators in the Museum of Somerset in Taunton bringing together over 70 artworks by 17 of the most celebrated children’s book illustrators. Get ready to meet a motley crew of fantastic beasts, from the Gruffalo to the Iron Man, from fearsome dragons to monsters of the deep, and even monsters in underpants.

‘Wed in the Westcountry’ Wedding Dress exhibition in the house at Forde Abbey from 1940’s through to the present day. The exhibition explores how gown styles and materials have changed over the decades, including those borrowed and adapted in wartime. Each dress has a story to tell about the bride, time and place. From 12 to 3.30pm, closed Mondays and Saturdays.
