Now and in future we want to ensure that you can expect “perfect visual solutions“ from eyevis, like our extended 4K product range with display sizes up to 98 inch and solutions for signal transmission and feeding. We report on this on page 19. EPUWall, our new solution for the installation and operation of IP-based video walls, is introduced on page 21. Perfect solutions, however, also include compatibility with other products and solutions. Therefore, we extended our wall management software eyeCON by an interface for SeeTec’s Cayuga video management, which will be explained in detail on page 20.

Dear customers, dear friends and employees of eyevis, we’d like to take the opportunity of this editorial to personally introduce ourselves. Some of you we were already able to meet in person during our international roadshow events and on other occasions. For all others we hope to get a chance to get to know you soon.

Since October 1, 2014, we are part of the eyevis Group. In the past few weeks we were able to discover the great products, the outstanding technological know-how, and the enormous passion everyone has for the business.

All this leads to the high quality of our solutions which will be presented in several pro-ject reports in this issue. For instance about the more than 12 metres wide video wall at the new control center for the wastewater treatment plant in Karlsruhe (p.

16–17), or about Al Jazeera’s new London

All of our product innovations will again be presented to you at Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam in February 2015. Theses will include, for example our new slim DLP® cube family, which will be extended by new display sizes, and new developments of our LED-modules. Get a first glance of what you can expect from us at ISE in our pre-report on page 24. We are also looking forward to welcoming you in person at our booth #2-C66 in Amsterdam.

Flexible visualization for safer process management: BN Automation AG modernized the entire automatization and process control engineering of the sewage treatment plant Karlsruhe as a large-scale project. In the course of this modernization, also the control room was renovated and the already existing mosaic-type control panel was replaced by a video wall consisting of 18 eyevis 60“ LED rear-projection cubes. In order to visualize the whole waste water system and the processes in two sludge incinerators, the video wall is in operation 24/7.

A consistent video wall for the display of live -feeds and background graphics during studio recordings: This is what the nine meter wide video-wall consisting of twelve eyevis rear projection cubes offers in the new London studio of the TV network Al Jazeera at the 16th floor of The Shard, the highest skyscraper of the European Union. The studio is shaped ovally and concentrates around a central moderator table. The background is represented by the curved eyevis video wall.

Dear Mr. Massmann, during your career you have been working in the international broadcast and digital sector. Among other positions, you held the position as global sales manager of ZDF and CEO of different production, digital and marketing companies of one of the largest European media groups. Dear Mr. Meindl, you have long-term international experience from executive commercial positions at Fujitsu Siemens Computers and arvato Bertelsmann. Inter alia, you held the position of CFO of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Inc. USA

and of arvato Digital Services USA. How do your new positions at the eyevis Group appeal to you?

Christian Massmann: I am driven by the passion for technology, the international project business, the buildup of multinational sales units and the development of the audio-visual sector and the entitlement of the eyevis Group to develop perfect visual solutions for their customers.

Daniel Meindl: In the past few weeks we have talked to a lot of employees at eyevis Group and to a lot of customers. Apart from a dedicated and highly motivated team we have awesome products, high technological know-how and enormous potential for the future development of eyevis. We are able to provide outstanding and customized solutions engineered in Germany

in all market segments – control rooms and centers, AV and broadcast, virtual reality and simulation. Thereby it is the ambition of every employee to offer perfect visual solutions

TRUE PIONEERS Karl-Heinz Wenisch and Wolfgang Schmiegelt founded the company under the name "inPhase Fernseh-Studiotechnik" in 1991 as the German distributor for broadcast products by Harris, formerly Leitch and Videotek.

The range of services was extended from 1998 onwards: modern IP networks offered completely new channels for broadcasting and providing video content in professional quality. Inspired by the visionary imagination of individual customers Teracue developed the first successful IPTV (Internal Protocol Television) systems. With this the company became one of the pioneers of this trend-setting market sector of video broadcasting in IP networks at the end of the 90s. In June 2005 the two business areas, Broadcast and IPTV were merged under one common name Teracue AG. Teracue is now a well-known manufacturer of hardware and software products for IPTV solutions and video networking from one source – Made in Germany.

Acquired by eyevis GmbH in early 2014 the company is now operating under the name Teracue eyevis GmbH. With the integration into the eyevis enterprise group, Teracue is now part of a larger and stronger corporate structure, which enables the company to provide their customers with even better end-to-end solutions.

Michael Schuster: That was also our philosophy at the time I was CEO. With this entitlement and this passion, we developed eyevis from a small company with 3 employees in the beginning to a globally operating mid-sized technology enterprise. It is great to see that this didn’t change in the new management team.

What are your further plans for the development of the group?

Christian Massmann: Our goal is that our customers work easier, more flexible and more successful through eyevis-solutions now and in the future. Ultimately,

find a perfect working environment. Working in an eyevis system environment is supposed to be joyful, intuitive and of highest quality so users can focus on the essentials. Michael Schuster: Thereby the acquisitions of Teracue eyevis and STiNO eyevis will support us. Every single company of the group represents experts with high know-how in their respective field with great innovational strength and passion for their own work. There are also large intersections when it comes to competences. The products and solutions of Teracue eyevis and STiNO eyevis supplement effectively our present service portfolio For this reason the acquisitions are highly relevant for our customers.

Among other benefits, we combine resources in the fields of product development and sales and can hence offer even better solutions.

Daniel Meindl: With the integration of Teracue eyevis and STiNO eyevis into the group we are operating in new market segments with new solutions and new product possibilities for our customers. Therefore the integration of the companies will be one of the major tasks for the near future. With the combined know-how we are able to provide our customers with perfect complete solutions in very different markets.

Christian Massmann: To support this positive development energetically, we brought back Michael Schuster. He still shares the passion and proficiency that the eyevis Group is all about. With his great experience he will carry those characteristics into our main markets and thus support the further expansion of the eyevis group.

2015 is around the corner. What can customers and partners of eyevis look forward to? What will be new?

Christian Massmann: At one of the most important trade fairs in our industry, the Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam in February, we are again presenting a whole bunch of novelties. We will extend the Slim-Cube family with new display sizes. Also, we will present new developments in our LED-moduleportfolio with 1.5 mm, 2 mm and 2.5 mm pixel pitch and show our extended 4K/Ultra HD product range with display sizes of 31.5” up to 98’’.

In the signal transmission segment we are presenting new developments for the control software of IP-based video walls and the transmission of 4K video data. This will also include solutions by Teracue eyevis.

Additionally we will present our High-Brightness- and MultitouchDisplays with the software solutions ePromoter and TouchPromoter from STiNO eyevis.

NETWORKED WORLDWIDE STiNO was founded by Franz H inter mayr in 2000 and was engaged in the field of business TV applications and IPTV. In 2004 the focus of the company shifted to digital signage for narrowcasting applications and has been subject to constant development ever since.

STiNO, as a producer of digital signage software solutions, is oriented internationally and sells through its worldwide partner network in more than 20 countries. Customers like Orange, Douglas, O2/Telefonica, Tchibo, Philip Morris, British American Tobacco, Sparkassen, AWG, Merkur, the Federal Ministry of Finance, Novartis and many more rely on the products of STiNO. Today, STiNO is operating with a permanent staff of eight employees in their headquarters in Landsberg and ten offshore software developers in Moldova. With the acquisition through eyevis in September 2014, perfect conditions have been created to establish STiNO as one of the leading providers of software in the digital signage market.

NEWS FROM THE MARKETS – IN A NUTSHELL CONTROL ROOMS & OPER ATING CENTERS

EYEVIS DISPLAYS VISUALIZE MOST MODERN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES Since the middle of the year, the latest technologies for intelligent and interconnected traffic management can be seen at SWARCO Traffic World (STW) at the new building of SWARCO AG in Wattens, Austria. Centerpiece of the new permanent showroom is a fully functioning traffic management center with a video wall comprising nine 55’’LCDs type EYE-LCD-5500-M-USN-LD by eyevis.

SWARCO is the Austrian transport technology group owned by the Tyrolean industrialist Manfred Swarovski and offers the complete

program of products, systems, ser vices and overall solutions for traffic safety and intelligent traffic management. STW offers insight into the most moder n traffic management solutions for customers, but also for groups of students or interested visitors. Through a netPIX graphic controller, for instance the integrated traffic management platform OMNIA and mapbased live-systems from European references by SWARCO can be displayed on the video wall. This includes for example the public transport system of cities like Trondheim and Rome, or the parking management operating at all Swedish airports. In this way

the showroom can not only be used for presentations, but also for employee and customer training. The eyevis-displays thereby particularly convince through their operating security, the daylight suitability due to the high brightness of 700 cd per square meter, the small bezels of only 5.7 mm between active screen areas and the low installation depth of only 103.5 mm.

SKYGUIDE RENEWS RELIANCE ON EYEVIS PROJECTORS Integrator Antycip upgrades a second Air Traffic Control simulator at skyguide with eyevis projectors.

As an additional benefit the new projectors allow much longer maintenance cycles which again reduces operational costs over time.

Building on the successful delivery of the “ TOSIM yellow” Tower simulator in 2013 skyguide has continued to rely on the expertise of Antycip and eyevis technology for the modernization of their “ TOSIM blue” tower simulator. With their higher resolution, more detailed color representation and higher brightness the 14 eyevis projectors provide an improved training environment for skyguide’s Training Center in Dübendorf near Zurich.

The ESP-LWXT-1000 LED projectors selected for the upgrade were combined to a continuous single 360° simulation display with a 9.5m diameter. The tower visuals, including a number of national and international airports and airfields, are displayed exactly as if they were viewed from their respective ATC towers.

The WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200 pixels) projectors enable a 30% higher pixel density per screen area which provides a significantly increased level of detail for the simulation.

The increased brightness and the eye-catching color quality help to provide a stunning representation of the apron improving the visual simulation quality.

Due to their Cluster-LED light source and their innovative heat-pipe cooling the newly installed eyevis projectors are almost maintenance free.

With an average lifetime of more than 60,000 hours, the LEDs need to be replaced significantly less frequently compared with projector lamps. This reduces operating costs, downtime for maintenance and improves the entire lifecycle costs for the installation.

PRESENTATION & INFORMATION

DEVELOPING INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS WITH EYEVIS-DISPLAYS Illustrating technological possibilities to develop specific and individual solutions in cooperation with customers: This is the aim of the new showroom of the Danish TMGroup from Copenhagen. The consulting company is the market leader for DealerVoice-Platforms, Risk and Compliance, Contact Center’s Operational Efficiency and Physical Security (www.tm-group.com).

In cooperation with market leaders like WEY Technologies, NICE Systems and eyevis, the TM Group in addition offers a great variety of complete solutions for trading floors, customer-contact-centers and control rooms.

To present the diverse technological solutions, a 2 × 2 video wall made of four 55inch displays type EYE-LCD-5500-M-USN-LD and an additional OPS-LCD were installed in the showroom. All displays are drive by a netPIX graphic controller and the eyeCON® wall management software. Currently they enable the visualization of the NICE Situator, a physical security information management system. For the future, TM Group plans to organize demos for customers from the sectors of finance, military, public utilities, and others. Therefore, different alarm systems and video cameras will be integrated into the system. The netPIX controller

architecture provides all possibilities for this planned expansion of the system. It already allows, for instance, the connection of DVI, VGA and HDMI-sources and, through the IPD 32 decoder board, even the connection of IP-streams.

NEW A.TV-STUDIO WITH EYEVIS-DISPLAYS

The new multifunctional studio, in which among others the show T V Bayern Live is produced, is in operation since midNovember 2014. It offers sufficient space to host different studio sets. In two of the

sets, two eyevis-LCDs were integrated in a 2 × 1-arrangement. Thereon, graphics, static images, but also live-connections and recordings for the currently produced shows are displayed. “The displays enable a simpler adjustment of the set-design to the different shows that are produced in the studio”, explains Caspar Amster, set designer at Mediadesign Amster from Hennef, who created the studio-design. Schiffer und Farber, a set construction company from Hürth, installed the design under the direction of the production company RT1.tv. eyevis-displays particularly convince through

their brilliant colour representation. Thanks to the adjustment of the color temperature through a special foil which is placed between the LED-illumination and the liquid crystal layer of the LCD, the required 3.200 Kelvin are achieved without a loss of colour quality.

Since 1994 the regional network A.TV has been covering local and regional news from Augsburg and the surrounding area. Right on time for the 20th anniversary of the network, the new studio, containing several eyevis 46inch video wall displays optimized for TV studio applications (type EYE-LCD4600-M-USN-LD-BC), was inaugurated.

The negotiations about the Peace of Westphalia for reenactment on a table made of eight 46’’-LC-displays of type EYE-LCD-4600-M-USN-LD by eyevis. This is what the State Museum WestfalenLippe in Münster has been offering its visitors since mid September.

In 1648 the Peace of Westphalia was made in Osnabrück and Münster. It ended the ThirtyYears War in Germany. In the new permanent exhibition at the State Museum in Münster, visitors have the possibility to take up the role of one of the negotiations leader at the gaming table with eyevis displays designed and installed by Studio Fizbin.

Thereby, every visitor can control his or her actions through an iPad. The aim of the game is to increase power and gain influence and at the same time keep the main goal, namely making peace, in mind.

46-inch ultra narrow bezel LCDs Type EYE-LCD-4600-M-USN-LD

The eyevis-displays installed in the table are used as game display and eye-catcher for the visitors. On the screen with a resolution of 3840 × 4320 pixels, the negotiation table with all points of action is displayed. In addition to the full HD resolution of the single displays the robustness was of particular importance. “The displays are almost operating permanently in a lying position and are at the same time required to display the high-resolution images and the animations of the game without a loss of quality. Moreover, they are expected to survive touches and impacts by the visitors without damage over a longer period of time”, Tobias Frisch, producer at Studio Fizbin, explains. The game runs during open hours, twelve hours daily, and the permanent exhibition is scheduled for the next ten years. Therefore, the durability of the displays is also essential.

The numerous features and the use of premium industrial components make the eyevis displays the perfect solution for the high demands of the museum. Robust metal frames provide for mechanical stability and by interacting with the highly efficient fans allow the operation of the displays in a lying position. Here, an effective heat removal is of particular importance to prevent a premature aging of the backlight and the liquid crystals. Furthermore the high brightness of the LCDs enables with all lighting conditions the best legibility and perceptibility of the displayed texts and images on the game interface, that thanks to the filigree body frame of the displays is interrupted only by the smallest bezels.

Police Department Dortmund

AT ONE STROKE CONTROL CENTER AND COMMAND ROOM OF THE DORTMUND POLICE DEPARTMENT BENEFIT FROM IMPROVED VISUALIZATION Three video walls assembled with 60‘‘ rear projection cubes of type EC-60LHD-CP by eyevis were installed in early 2013 at the new building of the Dortmund Police Department, at that time the most modern police headquarters of Nordrhein-Westfalen. Since the installation, eyevis cubes have proven their reliability. Two 2 × 2-video-walls with 4 cubes each are operating permanently at the headquarters. In addition, 8 cubes in a 4 × 2-arrangement in the adjacent command room provide an overview for large-scale emergencies.

The police officers thereby benefit from the full HD resolution of the cubes and the reliability of their visualizations.

The three video walls are controlled through two netPIX graphic controllers and the eyeCON® wall management software by eyevis. To be able to adjust the visualization if necessary to new situations, signal distribution and visualization on the video walls is mainly executed through presets.

The headquarters of the Dortmund Police Department are operating 24 hours a day.

From there, patrol car operations in Dortmund, Lünen and on around 1.000 highway

kilometers up to the Hessen state border are coordinated. The large video wall in the command room, like the room itself, is only put into operation during large-scale operations, such as demonstrations or hostage-taking.

The video walls are mainly used to display video signals. “Due to the high resolution, we are also able to visualize written documents or map overviews”, the control room technician from the Dortmund Police Department illustrates. Thanks to the small bezels of less than 1 mm between the cubes, video and image data can be displayed freely scalable and without frames even over the entire wall.

In a major project the Berlin system integrator PRO VIDEO equipped the new building of Brandenburg’s state parliament with interconnected state-of-theart conference, presentation and broadcast technology and thus created Germany’s most modern state parliament on the premises of the old city castle in Brandenburg. Thereby, the experts for broadcast and conference room technology also installed eyevis displays.

In the central auditorium and the great multifunctional hall for groups of visitors and press conferences 24 × 55’’ LCDs and 15 × 46’’ LCDs can be found.

At the end of 2013 the parliament in Brandenburg moved into the new building in Potsdam’s city center, which was constructed based on the model of the city castle destroyed during World War II. The historically appearing façade ensconces a highly modern interior architecture with trendsetting media technology on around 15,000 square meters.

PRO VIDEO was thereby in charge of the equipment of the auditorium including its control room, the multifunctional hall for press conferences, nine conference rooms for fractions and committees, as well as the master control room, where a media control sys-

tem manages audio and video, as well as facility technology for the entire building.

The 24 seamless eyevis-LCDs of type EYELCD-5500-M-USN-LD were installed in two 3 × 4 video wall arrangements, with a diagonal of 4.5 m each, at the side walls of the auditorium. 88 representatives can be seated on the semicircularly arranged seats. Moreover, there are stands for up to 160 visitors and 30 press representatives. To give the participants of meetings in the auditorium a better overview, the video wall either shows live footage of the auditorium, the current speaker for instance, or of one of the interconnected rooms of the parliament building. Due to the full HD

resolution of the displays, the high brightness of 700 nits and the narrow bezel of only 5.7 mm, the eyevis displays offer uninterrupted screen areas and high image quality even for TV-specific room lighting and additional daylight, which enters through the light dome at the ceiling of the auditorium.

At the front side of the 150 square meter multifunctional hall 15 additional seamless eyevis displays of type EYE-LCD-4600-M-USN were installed in a 5 × 3 arrangement. According to the requirements of press conferences or visitor groups, the displays can be combined to an overall image, while also being able to display 15 single images.

EYEVIS IN THE SHARD CUBE-WALL INSTALLED IN AL JAZEERA’S NEW LONDON STUDIO

In November 2014 the T V network Al Jazeera opened its new London studio at the 16th floor of The Shard, the highest skyscraper in the European Union. Responsible for project management and realization of this demanding project was Studio Hamburg. They commissioned Stuart A. Veech from Veech Media Architecture Wien with the conception and the development of the studio design. The lighting design came from the Cologne -based Mo2 Design GmbH. The studio has an oval-shaped surface with central news anchor desk. The studio uses a cur ved video wall background assembled of twelve 60-inch DLP® rear-projection cubes from eyevis.

On the nine meter wide eyevis video wall news graphics, live-feeds and background graphics are displayed during studio recordings. Requirements in this case were high color fidelity of the cubes, high brightness and high viewing angle stability. The eyevis-cubes fulfill these requirements through different features. The utilized Cluster-LEDs for instance guarantee high brightness of up to 480 candela per square meter. With a durability of more than 60,000 hours they offer stable brightness over long periods of time. Since the LEDs enable exact color configuration and the adjustment of the color temperature through electronic control of the single primary colors red, green and blue, the cubes need readjustment only on rare occasions. This allows for long maintenance intervals, lower operating costs and higher operating security.

The cubes achieve their high viewing angle stability through special rear-projection screens, which guarantee consistent brightness and color representation even for varying viewing angles. In this way the directors are able to change camera positions and record the anchorman with the wall in the background from different angles. Since every perspective usually covers several cubes of the video wall, narrow bezels also play a role. In this regard the eyevis cubes convince through their “seamless”-screenmounting with Discrete Screen Clamp Technology, which make smallest screen distances of only 0.3 mm possible. In this way viewers on their devices at home are given the impression of a consistent video wall.

BN Automation AG modernized the entire automatization and process control engineering of the sewage treatment plant Karlsruhe as a large-scale project. In the course of this modernization, also the control room was renovated and the already existing mosaic-type control panel was replaced by a video wall consisting of 18 eyevis 60“ LED rear-projection cubes type EC60-LHD. In order to visualize the whole waste water system and the processes in two sludge incinerators, the video wall is in operation 24/7.

At the sewage treatment plant Karlsruhe the entire sewage of the city area is defecated. To satisfy the requirements of clean rivers, the plant was constantly modernized. Since the 15 year old mosaic-type control panel ultimately was not capable to visualize all processes in the treatment plant any more and also the process control engineering was no longer state-of-the-art, they have since 2011 been replacing the entire automatization and process control technique of the sewage treatment plant and upgraded it to the Siemens product family PCS7.

In that process, also the control room was renovated. In order not to disrupt the defecation of the sewage in Karlsruhe, the room had to be modernized within a period of only two months and during operation. Thanks to the well planning of BN Automation this time limit could be kept. Thus a provisional control room was built and the actual control room was gutted completely. Only afterwards did they begin to install the new technology. It was also helpful that the video wall and with it the entire control technique could previously be tested signal for signal at eyevis. “This has also accelerated the installation enormously. BN Automation and all participating companies have done a superb job“, underlines Nicole Brücher, project manager of the control stand modernization.

NEW CONTROL ROOM IMPROVES PROCESS CONTROL AT THE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT KARLSRUHE Since Mai of this year, the over 12 metres wide eyevis video wall has been visualizing the entire sewage treatment plant with sewage treatment, sewage incineration as well as the video surveillance of the technological processes. In contrast to the tessellated circuit diagram the classical depiction with pictures and reading can be combined flexibly with a depiction in curve charts. Thus the room operators gain a high flexibility.

The applied wall management software eyeCON as well as the netPIX graphics controller by eyevis allow a flexible feed of the process data and the signals of the surveillance cameras. This data can thus be scaled and positioned freely on the video wall. So every operator can install his own presentation preset that is then saved in the eyeCON software. “This way, everyone can make his signals be presented however it suits him best. This fact has vastly accelerated the acceptance of the new technology, Nicole Brücher recollects.

Each of the 18 cubes offers a full HD resolution on a 60 inch screen.

The technological features of the eyevis cubes enable an ergonomic operation. Thus the LED based rear-projection of the cubes does not only generate a high brightness with high contrast and brilliant colour display but the LEDs also provide a flicker-free image without rainbow effect. Also in the 24/7 operation this enables an ergonomic and a fatigue-free observation Thanks to the longevity of the LEDs with a durability of more than 60,000 hours the Cubes furthermore enable long maintenance intervals and thus low downtimes.

In order to minimize the noise generation in the control room the entire IT including the netPIX graphics controller and the workstations for the ten workplaces of the room have been installed behind the video wall in servers. Since the eyevis cubes have a very low noise generation due to their integrated heat pipe cooling without moving mechanical parts they herein also follow the ergonomic requirements.

A flexible and seamless video wall assembled of 30 omniSHAPES gives the Magdeburg studio of Media & Communication Systems SachsenAnhalt (MCS) a new face. In the 200 square feet studio the news, daily and magazine shows “MDR um 11” and “Sachsen-Anhalt-Heute” are produced for the Mitteldeutschen Rundfunk (MDR). To make the studio design variable for different shows, the omniSHAPES-wall was installed on a mobile baseframe and can additionally be divided into two single walls.

Since the old design of the studio in Magdeburg after 10 years was not fashionable any longer, MCS turned towards Amptown Systems Company (ASC) from Hamburg for a modernization of light and projection

technology. ASC has been a long-term partner of MCS, has been consulting the service bureau in matters of stage, light and sound technology and has been installing media-technological system solutions for projects and extensions. In the course of the studio modernization ASC received several orders from MCS. To meet the requirements of a modern and up-to-date design, ASC among other things installed the mobile and curved video wall assembled of a 6 × 5-arrangement of omniSHAPES. This can be divided into two walls of 3 × 5 modules each. “With their different panel shapes, the small installation depth and the possibility to adjust color temperature values to the conditions of TV recordings, the omniSHAPES are a comfortable solution for the different configurations in the studio and can be dynamically adjusted to a new studio design at any time. In this way each show has its own format”, Andreas Klöhn, Head of Sales at the ASC department of Entertainment and ASC Sales Manager Anke Jabs explain the advantages of the flexible omniSHAPES wall.

The new video wall visualizes photos, graphics, writing, videos or panorama pictures according to the current show. This implementation is more cost-efficient than the conventionally utilized projectors. The video wall mostly operates as two single video walls and in the end creates a more realistic effect than a virtual studio. The increased brightness output of the omniSHAPES provides ideal conditions for the studio lighting. The lighting technicians are able to perfectly illuminate hosts and protagonists without influencing the background projection.

SeeTec Cayuga users are now able to connect cameras and views manually through a virtualized wall layout, through preconfigured buttons or automatically through alarms or events to an eyevis video wall directly in the video management software. Even the simultaneous control of several large-scale display systems by eyevis is now possible through SeeTec Cayuga. Moreover, alarms and events of the SeeTec-software can be displayed on the video wall via eyeCON-API. In this way the entire large-scale video wall can react to the events of the Cayuga-software.

In addition to the improved compatibility, the interface also improves user-friendliness. Through the integration, it is for instance possible to use the features of both systems with only one software. eyeCON only has to be configured once and can afterwards run in the background without the user having to access it directly. For the users this means that they are able use SeeTec Cayuga for video management and the control of the video wall. They simply have to register in the SeeTec-software once and just need training for one software. Due to the improved overview, this increases security in decision-making for the operating staff and reduces administration.

STINO EYEVIS PRESENTS HIGHLIGHTS AT ISE In hall 8, traditionally the main hall for the digital signage market, STiNO eyevis present their novelties at their booth #8N265.

Further exhibits are innovations for the interactive use of multi-touch displays, Android-based screen management systems and door-sign systems as well as cloud-based content management systems for the central administration of digital signage networks.

touchPromoter – CONTENT PRESENTATION AND KIOSKSOFT WARE FOR MULTI-TOUCH DISPLAYS The touchPromoter software enables the creation of interactive presentations for multi-touch displays with only a few clicks. Thereby, touchPromoter provides numerous different apps, which are adjustable through a configuration-tool. Export and import features allow for simple copying of the respective configurations and contents onto other touchPromoter computers.

ePromoter – SCREEN-MANAGEMENT-TOOL FOR ANDROID The Android software solution ePromoter publishes contents on large-scale display devices over an intuitive drag-and-drop-interface from any Android smartphone, tablet or smartdisplay. Especially for owners of smaller shops or restaurants, the software provides costefficient digital marketing, without requiring a network or server infrastructure.

iChannel – CONTENT-MANAGEMENT-SYSTEM The cloud-based content management system iChannel 7 provides an intuitive and easy-to-handle web-frontend with multilingual support. Thereby, it includes among other things campaign management with playlist scheduling, device management and user role administration. It is offered as SaaS or unlimited software license.

eDoorSign – DOOR-SIGNAGE FOR CONFERENCE ROOMS

The new Android-based software-tool eDoorSign allows for the simple configuration and labeling of electronic door signs in office buildings, administration centers, authorities, universities, training centers or hospitals. The software thereby offers the simple processing and distribution of templates over the iChannel web portal and the ePromoter management app.

AFTER GREAT SUCCESS: EYEVIS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR ANNUAL ROADSHOWS During last October and November eyevis presented its innovations in six locations in France, Spain and UK. In Barcelona, Madrid, Lyon, Paris, London and Manchester the events attracted hundreds of visitors from a wide range of sectors, including CCTV, security, traffic control, network management, high-end corporate communications and broadcast. All visitors received a deeper insight in our perfect visual solutions and the way they can benefit from them.

Among the latest eyevis technologies on show were Indoor-LED modules with 1.5 mm pixel pitch and the Slim-Cubes with a minor installation depth. The possibility to create unique and creative video walls was

shown with the omniSHAPES with a range of rectangular and none rectangular screen shapes that can be mounted in convex and concave formats. Additionally solutions for the control of video walls were shown, like the netPIX video wall controllers and eyeCON wall management software. eyeCON with its MetaWall 2.0 feature enables the installation and control of unlimited video walls on the basis of standard IP networks. In combination with IPTV and video networking solutions from Teracue eyevis the systems allows recording and playout of several IP streams.

Furthermore, a 84’’ Ultra HD-Display with multi-touch surface and digital signage software from STiNO eyevis was presented.

“The overwhelming response was ‘Do it again!‘,” comments Rainer Link, Director of International Sales at eyevis GmbH, about the success of the roadshow. Jaime Villena, CEO of eyevis Spain added: “The roadshows were the right events at the right time for both us, our clients and potential clients.”

Betrand Sacher, Director General of eyevis France, said after the events in France: “They particularly liked the commercial availability of our products, the fact they could see several solutions in one place and that we could demonstrate the feasibility and usability of our technology“.

Eyevis UK Managing Director Steve Murphy summarized:“These roadshows showcased our leading Visual Display Technology solutions for high end Corporate Display Systems, Control Room Display Systems and other applications including Broadcast Display Solutions.”
