Exyte Hargreaves is a pioneering UK leader in the construction engineering of HVAC and specialist ventilation systems for safety critical facilities.
If you’re reading this brochure as someone who’s experienced in the construction industry then hopefully the above needs no further explanation. Alternatively, if you’re new to the industry then what our products mainly do is help put clean air into a building, or take harmful air out.
That probably sounds just like any ventilation system, but it isn’t. Our products are helping to protect high value and strategically important facilities like nuclear energy plants, rail and highways networks and highly classified defence sites. The performance of our HVAC systems helps keep people safe and there are no other businesses who have been doing it as long or as well as Exyte Hargreaves.
Henry Hargreaves & Son was formed in 1872 and started life as a North West business making bicycles. The business grew steadily over the next eighty years and in the 1950’s was at the forefront of the UK’s move into nuclear energy. That changed the game for Exyte Hargreaves and led to a track record today which includes experience of every single nuclear facility in the country, plus work on similar high-tech projects in the defence and transport sector.
In 2018, we were acquired by the Exyte Group and became part of an international family. We are a proud part of Exyte and look forward to making a positive ongoing contribution to our group’s success.
HINKLEY POINT C
We are currently working on Hinkley Point C – the UK’s first new nuclear facility in over 30 years. Once complete, HPC will supply thousands of homes with clean energy for many decades.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

SCREENING The hiring manager and HR team will review all applications against the role requirements and shortlist candidates for interview.
INTERVIEW Typically, you’ll meet the hiring manager to discuss the role. Most interviews are conducted in person. Depending on the role seniority, a second interview would typically introduce you to HR and other members of the management team.
FEEDBACK All candidates, whether successful or unsuccessful will receive feedback from the HR team about your performance at interview and the result.
