Pura maestría La tradición de la pintura zapoteca se une por segunda ocasión con el arte de viajar en la colección Power Animals de Louis Vuitton. For the second time, the tradition of Zapotec painting joins the art of travel in Louis Vuitton’s Power Animals collection.
POR AMOR AL ARTE FOR THE LOVE OF ART Unidos por un profundo respeto al proceso artesanal y el legado del patrimonio, Louis Vuitton y los maestros artesanos del Taller Casa Don Juan, ubicado en San Martín Tilcajete, Oaxaca, colaboraron en Power Animals después de un primer trabajo en conjunto en febrero de 2020. Brought together by a deep respect for the artisanal process and the legacy of tradition, Louis Vuitton and the Master Craftspeople of Oaxaca’s Taller Casa Don Juan joined forces for Power Animals after their first collaboration in February 2020.
PIEZA ÚNICA ONE OF A KIND Cada baúl de la colección Power Animals muestra animales pintados delicadamente a mano, lo que permite al cliente tener una pieza completamente única y personalizada, y muestra el talento de su creador. Each trunk in the Power Animals collection features a delicate, hand-painted animal, allowing the customer to own a completely unique and personalized piece, and showing its creator’s talent.

ENCUENTRA TU ESPÍRITU FIND YOUR SPIRIT Son 20 animales de poder los que protagonizan el calendario zapoteca, incluyendo el venado, la tortuga, la iguana, la mariposa y el pez. Estos animales representan la magia ceremonial, y suelen esculpirse en tallas de copal, resultando en los alebrijes que todos conocemos. There are 20 power animals in the Zapotec calendar, including the deer, the turtle, the iguana, the butterfly, and the fish. These animals represent ceremonial magic, and they are usually carved in wood, resulting in the alebrijes we all know. AIRE ENERO 2021
