AUTUMN TERM: SENIOR MATHS CHALLENGE (NOVEMBER 2020)

In November, around 70 members of the sixth form and Upper Fifth took part in the annual senior maths challenge in school. Approximately 60% of them were awarded certificates for their efforts, with 34 bronzes and 11 silvers achieved. There were also 2 gold certificates awarded to Upper Sixth pupils, Tom Harris-Deans and Adam Wajed. Both took part in the British Mathematical Olympiad after this, with Adam awarded a merit certificate.

were 40 bronze, 20 silver and nine gold certificates awarded. Particularly impressive were the results of third formers Marcus Neary and Logan Wasey, who obtained the highest and third highest score in the school respectively. Fourth Formers Tobias Ukoumunne-Hann, Lilia Craft, Henry Batty, Sam Harries, Eric Osterlund, Todd Rook and Jack Solly should also be congratulated for achieving gold certificates. All nine of these pupils took part in the Junior Kangaroo, a followon round, in June. We look forward to hearing how they got on.

Everyone in the Third and Fourth Forms took part in the junior maths challenge in school in April. There
