WConjunction between Jupiter and Saturn and the Mars rover mission to follow. This was the theme for Catalyst Club and an internal poster competition won by Adi Banerjee in the Third Form and with prizes to Caitlin Ampleford, Henry Batty, Harry Allen and Franklin Harreld. In the summer Third Form astronomy competition, Adi was again a prize winner jointly with Hanna Sari. Winners in the Ogden Love Physics photography competition included Faye Chapman, Peter Moffat, Annabel Burton and Elizabeth Doherty in the Middle Fifth to Upper Fifth category, as well as Maya Gill and Tyler Davies in the Third and Fourth Form category.

In May we entered the junior physics challenge for Middle Fifth pupils for the first time.

GOLD AWARD WINNERS WERE: Henry Bill, Duncan Brown, Oscar Clements, George Dow and Albert Hughes.

SILVER AWARD WINNERS WERE: Tom Cookes, Tilly Collins, Elizabeth Doherty, Rosie Fullam, Oscar Gibbons, Amelia Johnson, Matthew Lomas, Vedang Mandalia, TJ McDonald Mupinyuri, Tristan Mash, Felicity Partridge and Georgia Read. BRONZE WINNERS WERE: Roxanne Bosch, Serena Ling, Ellie Monro Higgs, Jay Stephenson and Joe Winfield.

In the Physics Olympiad, Adam Wajed and Tom Harris Deans were awarded gold, Theo Collins silver, Ben Eve bronze I and Emma Halford bronze II.

Adam Wajed is congratulated for all he has achieved over the past two years in particular, achieving a place on the senior physics challenge event run by Cambridge University and winning the Natural Sciences Challenge run by Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, producing a resource linking physics with physiology.

Well done to everyone who has taken part in events this year.
