La Nativité
One of the highlights of the Form One calendar in the lead up to Christmas was ‘La Nativité’. Form One H and Form One C each gave performances of a specially created nativity play spoken entirely in French! by

he script included words and phrases learned in French lessons and was a great opportunity for pupils to work on their pronunciation and their word memory. It also included a selection of Christmas songs in both French and English. The favourite was ‘Vive le vent’ (to the tune of ‘Jingle Bells’), and ‘Un bébé est né’ went with a swing, alongside the traditional ‘We three Kings’ in English. Every pupil was involved in both speaking and singing and both performances included some fine acting and confident French. Parents were sadly not able to attend in person, but they were subsequently able to watch a video recording. Félicitations to all in Form One and… Joyeux Noel! 44 The Exonian 2021
