The virtual format has meant teams have had to be versatile, adapt and innovate within the current conditions,” said Mr Rose. All the events are live streamed via YouTube and available to watch again. n Monday 12 July four Exeter School teams took home an amazing 10 awards. They also gained invitations for three teams to the nationals in October! Development class team from the Middle Fifth Project Viper achieved a race time of 1.352 seconds, the fastest for this class in this region, while EXEcellerate achieved 1.470 seconds on the 20 metre track, In the professional class Energia, led by Will Olney, raced to a 1.306 elapsed time, while Momentum Racing led by Chris Hemmings achieved a best time of 1.086 to win the race by 0.1 of a second over the nearest rival on the leader board. This is a time that will stand very competitively against the best times nationally. Race times and positions were considered with the points scored through scrutineering, the engineering, enterprise portfolios and pit displays, with those top scoring teams going through to the nationals.
