DISCOVER NEW FEATURES The best printer just got better! With more than 50,000 units sold and more than 500 million cards printed in 3 years, Primacy quickly became the benchmark for printing quality and modularity. Today, Evolis goes further and introduces new features which make the Primacy even more powerful and more flexible, to further enhance customer experience and provide extra security. Performance, flexibility and security driven enhancements Now, Evolis has gone one step further in bringing many novel features to Primacy, with the goal to take performance and flexibility to new heights, improve customer experience, and maximize security. These enhancements will be enabled and marketed according to a two-step roadmap. Primacy will feature the following by middle of Q3:

• Extended Memory-size and printing resolution, with RAM capacity increased to 32 MB for the standard model and 64 MB available as an option. Printing resolution will be adjustable, and extended to 300 x 600 dpi (color and mono), and even 300 x 1200 for monochrome printing. • A low card level sensor will make it possible to trigger a user notification when the feeder has 20 or fewer blank cards remaining. • A new update verification wizard to check for available updates for the printing driver and/or the firmware. Installation is a matter of a few clicks. • A brand new SDK (Evolis Premium SDK) will be available free of charge to enable fast and seamless integration of Primacy with IT systems, and allow for remote supervision of the printer. • A UHF encoding option to support identification and access control applications using two frequency ranges (FCC and ETSI). Such applications are commonplace in many industries, including transportation, leisure/entertainment and retail. • A specific Primacy model with an open output hopper will be offered for both the Simplex and Duplex versions, for delivering individual cards, in retail environments, and when Primacy is on a reception desk or kiosk. As a second step, new features and product enhancements will make their debut at the end of 2015: • The printing output rate in monochrome will be increased by up to 25%, to maximize efficiency and increase the volume of cards issued. • A new electric locking system will improve the printers overall security, in particular for applications in the banking industry. • An LCD screen, available as an option, will allow the user to interact directly with the printer without having to be in front of the computer. WHAT’S NEW AT EVO SO-KO RIBBON PRICE REDUCTION Starting immediately, benefit from a price reduction on the SO-KO ribbon! This ribbon is ideal for banking and retail markets. The silver and black SO-KO* ribbon is used for blank or pre-printed cards, and can be used to create premium membership and loyalty cards, or even payment cards. PAYMENT CARDS Ideal for financial card issuance solutions, the SO-KO ribbon is the only consumable available on the market to personalize pre-printed payment cards with dark background and offer a protective overlay on both sides of the card in conformity with international card network requirements. LIS CARD PRINTERS? EASY4PRO RIBBONS Evolis is happy to announce the launch of the new range of ribbons called “Easy4Pro” which supplements the current consumable offer for Primacy. This new range has been designed for card printing professionals with high ribbon consumption who require compact consumables with a small footprint packaging. Evolis Easy4Pro ribbons have been downsized to minimum dimensions and they feature an optimized soft packaging. This helps to reduce shipping and storage costs for large volume users (4 times less bulky). The package will include a ribbon (without cassette) and a specific RFID key, packed in an individual plastic bag. The ribbons are sold in bulk by the box of 10 ribbons. Laser engraving for tamper-proof cards and badges Laser engraving makes it possible to integrate highly secured items within cards and badges, such as text and microtext, ghost images, laser-protected graphics. This is achieved either by combining monochrome laser engraving and color printing (LPI® process – Laser Protected Image*), or by altering the engraving angle so that several graphics can be featured on a card (CLI process – Changeable Laser Image). Such laser-enabled techniques aim at fighting card forgery. In addition, to comply with all security requirements for producing cards and badges, Core offers a locking system that prevents access to the laser module and to the lamination films. A unique positioning in the market Core uniquely positions itself to support the delivery of card-based identification documents, with color picture and laser engraving that offer security and sustainability in the long run. In 2008, the Indian Government launched an Ambitious program to help millions of Indians have access to medical care. In the scope of this project, each beneficiary has a highly sophisticated card which is personalized through an Evolis printer… and often, in very extreme environments. RSBY: an ambitious program targeting 160 million Indians. The Project’s goal is to offer free healthcare services – for each member of an eligible family. RSBY brings together the Indian Federal Government, public and private hospitals, as well as insurance companies. An individual - or family -health card, lies at the core of this Program. This card comes in a smart card format, which was considered to be the most simple and reliable. Such a health card has multiple applications and ensures that none of the stakeholders to this Program is deprived. More precisely, the health card enables beneficiaries to choose a partner – a
106 million+ cards The number of cards already delivered as of end 2014, is 106 million. The project, initially targeting those living below the poverty line, has been expanded to other profiles, such as construction workers and taxi drivers for example.

private or public hospital – without having to pay any money in advance. The selected healthcare organizations are given a guarantee of payment, while the insurance companies track all provided healthcare services and monitor the related expenses. In other words, the smart card makes it possible to identify the beneficiary, to register every transaction and to generate a report on all healthcare services and treatment for each individual. In the field, mobile enrolment stations are moved from village to village to identify eligible individuals who are instantly issued a personalized smart card thanks to Evolis printers deployed and supported by Rajpurohit Cardtec, the Evolis distributor for India. A beneficiary showing up at a hospital simply needs to insert his card in a reader to trigger the identification process based on an ID key, a personal picture and on fingerprints embedded in the chip. Healthcare services are then provided after this authentication, and within the individual’s annual financial allocation.
A shared IT infrastructure The RSBY Project leverages an IT infrastructure based on local servers, a centralized server and a freeware that is fully compliant with the IT requirement of all stakeholders of this major project. During enrolment, personal data of beneficiaries are sent and stored on local servers. Partner hospitals and insurance companies are linked to these servers and exchange data related to healthcare services and billing. Furthermore, any lost card is immediately “hot listed” on the central server, which prevents any fraud use. In the field, the scattered base of Evolis printers benefits from support delivered onsite by technicians from Rajpurohit Cardtec, and within a short timeframe.
In India, Primacy ensures continuity in the quality of services that until now were provided by Pebble and Dualys. In the specific case of Uttar Pradesh, the authorities were particularly impressed by its ease of use, its print quality and its robustness.
End-to-end card personalization
The printer can also be configured as double-sided directly on site, and it couldn’t be easier to operate! Uttar Pradesh selected the option of a driver’s license on a smart card. The driver’s personal and behavioral data is encoded in the chip and can be monitored anytime by the authorities.
For cost-efficiency purposes, Rajpurohit Cardtec suggested that a customized color ribbon be used, so that only the picture frame would be in color. Printing and encoding are conveniently carried out in one single pass.
Primacy has the advantage of being highly scalable. Different encoders can easily be installed to suit the needs. Users can add or remove encoding options on their own, including magnetic, smart card or contactless technologies.

Rajpurohit Cardtec was created in 1985 to cater to the identification market in India. Since the early 2000s, we have been the distributors for Evolis throughout India. Our partnership was initiated through the deployment of just 20 printers for delivering drivers’ licenses. Ten years later, we had personalized

more than 300 million cards in India for applications as diverse as identity, leisure, security and e-governance. In 2013, we took our partnership to new heights. Evolis took over Rajpurohit Cardtec in order to strengthen our capacity to intervene in India, home of a buoyant and growing market. This smart move further reinforced our technical and sales expertise, and helped us get prepared to support an ever-increasing number of projects.
