C
attle Country gets the thumbs up from my friends and family. Using the discount voucher in the February issue of Gordano Living a large group of us headed for the Berkeley based adventure park. It took just 30 minutes to get there from our Portishead homes, but if we are honest a day just wasn’t enough, there was so
much to do! The children headed straight for play barn one as soon as we arrived and didn’t want to leave! This was a great area for our large group, as parents could sit and watch all the children who were fearlessly going down the drop slide, zooming down the wavy slide and chasing around the indoor play area while the pre-schoolers happily played in the toddlers’ play area. Eventually we managed to prise all the children out of the barn and entered child heaven, aka the main field. The youngsters all ran in different directions jumping on swings and trampolines, climbing on to the castle, taking a try at mini golf and hopping on to a zip wire. Next there was fun to be had on huge inflatable jumping pillows
and a huge beach barn complete with toys and diggers; a real favourite! We also enjoyed a falconry display that involved interaction. Throughout the park there were plenty of picnic areas both covered and uncovered, areas for barbeques and a cafe. There was so much to see and do that we have promised to return during the Easter holidays so that we can experience the miniature train, animal encounters, boating lake, 40ft climbing net and the outdoor assault course. We can’t wait!
