Welcome to the first edition of the Everyone Active colleague newsletter, which we’ve launched to keep colleagues up to date with the organisation’s development as a whole and celebrate and showcase the fantastic work you all do up and down the country.
At board level, we believe our colleagues are our strongest asset. We want to show how much you impact our success as a business, as well as sharing relevant news which might influence or inspire your role.
In 2022, we rebounded from the significant challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and delivered fantastic participation figures across our wide range of facilities.
With your support:
9m 58m 36
More than 58 milllion visits were made to our centres, up from 49 million in 2019
Nearly 9 million people have visited at least one of our facilities across the country
We have gained six new contracts and 36 centres since April 2022
It is a credit to colleagues that we have recovered so strongly following the pandemic, given we are also tackling the challenges posed by a significant increase in utility costs, an issue impacting the whole country.
Once more I’d like to reiterate our thanks for your hard work in 2022 and let’s look forward to even more success in 2023.
Kind regards, David
As we look to the future, we want to continue to attract great people like you to work with Everyone Active, enable them to perform at their best and make them feel valued. With that in mind, we want to thank everyone for supporting the culture project so wholeheartedly and update you on what’s happening next.
We undertook the culture project because we wanted to really understand our existing culture, including what helps and hinders us. We were supported by a specialist external agency, Culture Consultancy, to ensure we were robust in our review and thinking, while also learning best practice from other organisations.
At the heart of the culture project was our colleague survey, which we had an excellent response to. The survey was put together in order to give us insights into how you, our colleagues, feel the business is run and where improvements can be made. Over the coming months, we will be taking our key learnings from this and implementing them into the running of the business.
