Message from the Executives Dear friends, Welcome to the combined summer edition of Monitor and our 2015 Community Annual Report.

This edition of Monitor is dedicated to stories about our pursuit of absolute patient safety and, along with our 2015 Annual Report, highlights our commitment to our Purpose: “working together to enrich the health and well-being of every life we touch.”

You have likely seen national and local media coverage about hospital safety. At EvergreenHealth, we work relentlessly to create a culture of absolute safety. This edition shares with you just a few of the many ways we have invested time and resources to implement new methods to enhance patient safety while we deliver exceptional clinical outcomes. Whether it’s artificial intelligence to predict and alert providers about clinical trends, technology to ensure medication safety, realtime remote monitoring of vital signs, investments in redundant safety systems, simulation exercises to practice teamwork in rare situations when seconds matter, standardized team communication systems, or our efforts to eliminate hospital falls and hospitalacquired infections, these efforts are among the most important work we do.

The common thread connecting these safety enhancements is EvergreenHealth’s “Safety Management System” (SMS). Our SMS, based on safety systems adopted by the aviation industry, is designed to proactively identify and reduce risks, resulting in a culture of absolute safety. We’ve learned, and continue to learn, from local and national experts in SMS and aviation safety on our Board Quality & Safety Committee.

They, along with our medical, nursing and pharmacy staff, have helped us further embed safety into our daily clinical processes as we strive to deliver nationally recognized clinical outcomes.

As EvergreenHealth Monroe moves through its second year as part of the EvergreenHealth system, we proudly reflect on the ways our community has benefited from

being part of an organization recognized as one of the top 100 health care systems in the nation. In addition to the stories shared in this edition, EvergreenHealth Monroe has invested in new technology and resources, including new cardiac monitors that help track patient vitals from anywhere in the hospital, a new electronic medical records system to safely and efficiently share patient data, new safety reporting systems, and new physician partners in our ER and serving as hospitalists for your inpatient care.

A Score That Saves Lives Delivering the best health care takes teamwork, and a collaboration between EvergreenHealth’s information technology (IT) group and clinical nursing staff is helping providers detect rapid declines in patient conditions—and save lives—using a digital triage tool embedded in a patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).

The Modified Early Warning System, or MEWS, collects data on important patient vital signs and creates a dynamic score to assess a patient’s condition. Any time the score reaches a critical level, teams of nurses are alerted to respond, assess the patient’s plan of care and take immediate action.

“MEWS empowers nurses to identify changes in our patients as early as possible and get them to the right level of care,” explained Jim Lomen, RN, who leads the EvergreenHealth Rapid Response team. “Sometimes that could mean transferring the patient to the ICU so if an

emergency occurs the team is ready and the patient is in close proximity to all the care resources they need.”

The tool takes several factors into account: Respiratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and oxygen percentage level. An algorithm produces a numeric score, which bedside nurses can see in the patient’s chart. A team of specialized nurses, who provide support to other nurses, can also see the patient’s MEWS score.

According to Foy and Lomen, the positive feedback on the MEWS system was immediate. Not only has it empowered nurses to advocate for their patients, but it has contributed to faster response times for patients in the greatest need of life-saving care.

At EvergreenHealth, 75 to 80 percent of all traumas treated in the emergency department are the result of falls, and 63 percent of these falls are by adults over age 60. For aging adults, the risk of falling is one of the biggest threats to safety—in fact injuries from falls are the leading cause of death for people over age 65 in the United States. To address this safety concern, teams across EvergreenHealth are working to help patients reduce their risk of falling in a range of settings.

Preventing Falls Home Health

Fall prevention is the cornerstone of EvergreenHealth Home Health’s goal to provide the safest, highest-quality care for its homebound patients. According to its director, Brent Korte, the Home Health team provides patients with wide-ranging care and service, and the team begins every consultation with an in-home fall assessment to identify potential hazards in their living environment.

The team evaluates every room in a patient’s living space and looks for pathways obstructed by carpets or cords, or the need for additional railings or grab bars to assist with strength and balance. From there, home health providers can recommend changes to make patients’ homes safer.

“Our mission is to be the experts on falls for patients and providers across our health system and to educate those at risk with the tools and information they need to make prevention a reality,” Korte said.

Primary Care

EvergreenHealth primary care providers assess patients’ risks of falling and recommend ways to reduce the threat based on a patient’s risk factors and their surrounding environment.

In many cases, providers refer senior patients to EvergreenHealth Geriatric Care for further evaluations that look at factors including vision, arthritis, orthopedic issues, cognitive impairment, footwear, cardiac health, the living environment and others. Using additional insights like a patient’s medications and bloodwork, the Geriatric Care team develops a plan to reduce risk factors through specialist referrals, home visits and outpatient therapies.

“We’re able to take a holistic look at a patient’s risk for falling and connect them to the specialists and resources that are going to make a difference in their daily lives to keep them safe,” said Dr. Connie Smith, medical director of EvergreenHealth Geriatric Care.

Emergency Care

The EvergreenHealth Emergency Department was one of the first in the region to work with King County to help connect senior patients who have fallen to free services and education to help them stay safe and independent in their homes.

According to King County, two-thirds of seniors who have fallen will fall again within six months. In light of that data, EvergreenHealth has developed a system to identify patients who meet certain criteria—like having fallen two or more times in a year—and proactively offer assistance, including enrollment in EvergreenHealth fall-prevention classes, home assessments and specialist referrals.

Inpatient Care

Every year, hundreds of thousands of patients fall in U.S. hospitals, resulting in injuries that can require additional treatment, longer hospital stays and increased cost for the patient. Care teams on EvergreenHealth inpatient care units begin each shift with a safety huddle to go over the day’s priorities, including a review of patients at risk for falling.

Additionally, every patient is regularly evaluated for a fall risk during their hospital stay using the Morse Fall Scale, which measures the patient’s likelihood of falling.

The Morse Fall Scale considers a patient’s history of falling, reliance on walking aids like crutches or a cane, their gait and ability to balance and transfer weight, their mental status, and other medical factors.

These elements are assigned a score and tallied together to help objectively determine the patient’s fall risk. A higher score indicates a greater need for specialized care.

For high-risk patients, care teams implement additional safety measures including the use of gait belts to help patients stand and move, signage to remind patients and families to ask for help, and special yellow socks to help identify those at risk for fall.

At EvergreenHealth, several preventive measures have been put in place to help reduce patient emergencies caused by respiratory distress.

Combining primary care screening for sleep apnea, pre-admission screening, and high-tech monitoring while in the hospital, patient safety is enhanced by an organizational approach to preventing respiratory failure.

Screening for Sleep Apnea Patients with sleep apnea face risk of worsening their condition when sedative medications are used during hospital procedures. Even under supervision, these patients can stop breathing due to these medications.

Before a patient is admitted to the hospital, EvergreenHealth’s Pre-Operative Clinic works with primary care providers and EvergreenHealth Sleep Services to help diagnose patients with sleep apnea. Using an assessment tool called the STOPBAG test, the Pre-Operative Clinic helps identify patients at risk for a respiratory event and provides them with tools to help manage their condition prior to a medical procedure or surgery.

Centralized Monitoring Once a patient is admitted, clinical teams continue regularly evaluating the patient using the STOPBAG assessment. Patients with the highest risk are closely monitored throughout their stay.

Another critical team monitors these and other patients, as well. Technicians stationed centrally on the EvergreenHealth Medical Center campus are constantly watching for changes in patients’ conditions.

While hospitalized, patients at EvergreenHealth wear a sensor called a pulse oximeter to monitor heart rate and oxygen saturation levels—the critical amount of oxygen in the patient’s blood.

The team watches for changes in a patient’s oxygen saturation. When the levels drop too low, possibly due to a respiratory event, the technicians see it and can immediately alert the patient’s nurse to take action.

According to Dr. Mark Newman, an anethesiologist and EvergreenHealth medical director of quality and safety, centralized monitoring supports clinical staff in providing the safest care.

“This technology allows us to provide continuous observation and provide an immediate response capability to some of our most at-risk patients during their hospitalization,” Dr. Newman said.

Keeping Mom & Baby Safe in the Family Maternity Center Clinical Teams Use Simulation Training to Practice for Emergencies Sushma’s Story When Sushma Shalini needed an unexpected C-section 32 weeks into her pregnancy, the FMC team went into fast action to keep mom, baby, and even dad safe, too.

“The team at EvergreenHealth delivered my baby within 15 minutes and kept both me and my husband calm the entire time. Of course I was nervous, but my doctors and nurses were very reassuring and made me feel like I didn’t need to worry.

“When we visited our growing baby in the NICU, everyone greeted me with a hug. It was so welcoming; it’s like a family.”

“In Sushma’s case, we had been watching her closely and were very concerned with the increased risk of hemorrhage complicating her pregnancy,” said Josephine Wang, M.D., an EvergreenHealth OB/Gyn and Sushma’s physician. “Through our team-based safety simulation trainings, our clinical teams were ready to act quickly and Sushma delivered her healthy baby boy with minimal blood loss and without any complications.”

Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most joyful, rewarding experiences. In most cases, healthy, expectant mothers deliver their new baby according to their birth plan with little complication. Some patients face a more emergent scenario that requires fast action from their care team. In these cases, the multidisciplinary team in the EvergreenHealth Family Maternity Center (FMC) is ready to respond.

Training for Emergencies

According to Dr. Bettina Paek, OB department chair at EvergreenHealth, preparing for obstetric emergencies with regular simulation training is critical as mom and baby’s condition can change quickly, and clinical teams often work under the significant pressure of time.

“Being prepared for a range of scenarios, including unexpected cesarean deliveries, infant resuscitation and maternal hemorrhage, ensures our clinical teams are poised to act quickly and can simultaneously provide excellent care for both mother and baby.”

Most trainings follow these steps:

1 The overhead page

A call prompts an interdisciplinary allhands-on-deck approach to assessing the situation. Members may come from the following teams: obstetrics, nursing, neonatology, NICU, anesthesiology, surgery and respiratory therapy.

2 A team huddle

A physician leads a team huddle to quickly create a plan and timeline for action. Huddles are practiced in simulation, but real emergencies don’t always allow time for advanced discussion.

3 Simulating every step

Physicians, nurses and care team members simulate the interventions and procedures they would perform in a real-life scenario. Nurses often stand in for patients, giving them the ability to see the team in action from the patient’s perspective.

4 Debrief and evaluate

A critical step in the training is to evaluate the team’s performance, discuss the response and plan for the next event.

Dedication Wheelchairs Celebrate Loved Ones’ Legacies

The 2016 Evergreen Gala raised $1.25 million to support EvergreenHealth’s Family Maternity Center. On April 30, more than 700 physicians, community leaders and patrons of EvergreenHealth joined us in our signature tent in King County’s Marymoor Park in Redmond. A highlight of the evening was our fund-a-need which brought in a record $326,000!

Stacie Dietsch-Becker and her family wanted to do something special to support EvergreenHealth and remember “mom” so they recently purchased a dedication wheelchair in her memory. Stacie believes the care and friendship that her mom, Sylvia, received while at the EvergreenHealth Cardiovascular Health and Wellness Center had a direct impact on the quality and length of her mother’s life and her family is honored to Stacie and her family attended a support EvergreenHealth celebration to dedicate the wheelchair for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. with this gift.

Gala proceeds will fund new, wireless fetal monitors throughout the EvergreenHealth Family Maternity Center, allowing laboring mothers to experience the highest level of mobility, comfort and safety during this incredibly important time. Monitoring laboring patients and their infants is crucial to ensuring the safe delivery of more than 4,500 babies who arrive at EvergreenHealth each year.

Cardiac rehab was “such an important part of mom’s recovery,” Stacie noted. The friends she made in that group became a second family. They exercised several times per week together and then would go to lunch at Café 128. The social aspect was almost as beneficial as the physical rehabilitation Sylvia received.

2016 Seasons of Hope Fundraising Luncheon Join us on November 10, 2016 for the 8th annual Seasons of Hope Fundraising Luncheon, benefiting EvergreenHealth Hospice and Palliative Care programs and services. This year’s luncheon will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center. The Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center on the EvergreenHealth campus in Kirkland is the only free-standing, inpatient hospice center in King and Snohomish counties.

More than 24,500 families have leaned on EvergreenHealth’s hospice care to get through one of life’s most difficult times. The center, which features 15 private patient rooms, was created to offer a homelike setting for patients and their families, and has

brought peace and comfort to the families that it has served. EvergreenHealth also provides in-home hospice care—whether it is in a private residence, nursing home, retirement community, assisted living facility or adult family home—where patients can be in familiar surroundings with their family, friends, pets and comfortable routine.

This year’s keynote speaker is Richard F. Groves, JCL, MA, MDiv. New Cardiac Monitoring Equipment Enhances Patient Safety in Monroe Doctors at EvergreenHealth Monroe can monitor important information like heart rate and other vital signs for patients receiving care in the emergency department, medical/surgery department and critical care department—now from anywhere in the hospital thanks to a new monitoring system.

The hospital recently introduced the new cardiac monitoring system that gives providers instantaneous access to patient information, allowing them to track patients’ vitals closely and respond quickly to changes in their condition using data from monitors placed throughout the Monroe hospital, or even through an app on the provider’s smartphone.

Eric Jensen, EvergreenHealth Monroe chief administrative officer, explains that “since adopting this new heart monitor system, we’ve seen the technology improve the ability of our providers to collaborate on patient care and deliver even safer, individualized attention for each patient.”

In its first months of implementation, the system has empowered EvergreenHealth Monroe providers to work together more efficiently, allowing care teams to gauge and track a patient’s prognosis and immediately spot irregularities in vital signs. With access to this information from anywhere in the hospital, providers can act even quicker if a patient’s heart rate fluctuates.

The wireless system also allows EvergreenHealth Monroe providers to monitor patients’ carbon dioxide levels. Carbon dioxide monitoring is a critical aspect of care for all patients receiving general anesthesia in the U.S. and is rapidly becoming a part of the high standards of care utilized by emergency medical services and intensive care units, as well.

This heart monitor system is just one of many upgrades EvergreenHealth Monroe is making in 2016. The hospital is also investing in new computed tomography (CT) scan technology and equipment, pulmonary function testing tools, anesthesiology machines, orthopedic drills and saws, and stretchers and scopes—all of which will give patients in east Snohomish County access to the most advanced care and health care resources available.

Caring for our community is a profound responsibility and we think it is best achieved through collaboration. This past year, we continued to expand our reach through our partnerships with the Puget Sound High Value Network, Virginia Mason, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, our sister hospital EvergreenHealth Monroe, and our clinically integrated network EvergreenHealth Partners. 2015 Highlights eHomeHealth Platform Helps Keep Patients Healthy at Home EvergreenHealth Home Care, thanks to funding from donors at the annual Evergreen Gala, launched an eHomeHealth service—a new software platform that helps patients track health information at home and share it virtually with their care teams and family members. This technology complemented the 129,000 in-home visits by 265 clinicians in 2015.

Treatment Options Expand at Halvorson Cancer Center Patients at the Halvorson Cancer Center, a partnership with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), benefit from the installation of a new Varian True Beam linear accelerator for radiation oncology; increasing the number of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) treatments received. SBRT delivers targeted radiation doses to tumors with millimeter precision – meaning less healthy tissue is damaged by radiation.

Fairfax Behavioral Health Opens in Monroe EvergreenHealth Monroe formed a partnership with Fairfax Behavioral Health for a dedicated 34-bed inpatient adult psychiatric center on the EvergreenHealth Monroe campus.

Board Approves $425 Million, 10-year Expansion and Renovation Plan In July 2015, the Board of Commissioners formally approved a 10-year long-range master facilities plan that includes the build-out of existing infrastructure and opening new facilities to allow EvergreenHealth to better accommodate and care for patients, while serving the increasing needs of our community.

Best Hospital by 425 Magazine

Readers of 425 magazine voted EvergreenHealth “Best Hospital” in the 425 area code in 2015 for the third time.

The annual “Best of 425” poll recognizes organizations that are voted as the most preferred by local consumers.

Puget Sound High Value Network (PSHVN) Selected by State The Washington State Health Care Authority, which is responsible for purchasing health care for more than two million Washington state residents, selected the PSHVN (of which EvergreenHealth was a founding member) as one of just two Accountable Care Programs (ACPs) for eligible state employees’ health coverage.

Top 5 Percent of Hospitals For the Sixth Time in Seven Years

EvergreenHealth earned recognition as a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence by Healthgrades for the sixth time in the past seven years, placing the organization in the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide for its quality patient care and superior clinical performance.

Valley General Hospital Officially Becomes EvergreenHealth Monroe In March, EvergreenHealth Monroe cemented its alliance with Kirkland-based EvergreenHealth, sharing a commitment to enhancing care and service for east Snohomish County residents and the greater Sky Valley community. Among its 2015 accomplishments, EvergreenHealth Monroe partnered with Emergency Medical Services Group, the same ER physicians that serve EvergreenHealth’s emergency departments in Kirkland and Redmond; expanded needed clinical services; restored its financial viability so that it can serve the community; and reinvested into its programs and people.

10th Primary Care Practice Joins the EvergreenHealth System In 2015, EvergreenHealth Primary Care—Sultan became the 10th practice in EvergreenHealth’s primary care network, which is the largest on the Eastside. Together with the affiliated independent practices in its clinically integrated network, EvergreenHealth Partners, the organization serves patients from nearly two dozen primary care locations.

EvergreenHealth partners with the Lake Washington School District through its Signature STEM Global Health program to provide hands-on education and learning opportunities at EvergreenHealth and in the classroom within STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and math).

Community Healthcare Access Team (CHAT)

EvergreenHealth Geriatric Care

EvergreenHealth’s Community Healthcare Access Team (CHAT) connects individuals to health care services and essential resources that often are not met because of low income, inadequate access to insurance and other hardships. CHAT’s social workers remove barriers and offer assistance at no cost, using an individualized approach to assess needs and connect patients and their families to appropriate services.

EvergreenHealth Geriatric Care serves seniors and their families with a comprehensive team approach that focuses on caring for the whole person. The practice’s consultative model, supported by an interdisciplinary team of senior health specialists, nurses, social workers and pharmacists, provides tailored care and service from its practice on the EvergreenHealth campus in Kirkland, in addition to expert consultation with primary care providers across the EvergreenHealth network.

In 2015, CHAT served 4,332 community members with assistance accessing appropriate resources for insurance, financial assistance, behavioral health services, information and help with general health care questions.

Emily’s Story In her eighth month of pregnancy, Emily found herself without health insurance when her husband was let go from his job and his family plan was eliminated. With time being of the essence, the family needed to find a care plan that would allow her to get the treatment she needed in the final critical month of pregnancy.

EvergreenHealth’s CHAT team met with the couple to assist them in enrolling in Apple Health and selecting a health plan which enabled Emily to continue receiving care from the same treatment providers she had been seeing. Following their son’s birth, CHAT also helped Emily with access to baby supplies—diapers, clothes and blankets—at no charge through the Eastside Baby Corner.

“CHAT helped us during an inopportune time for our family when we unexpectedly lost our health coverage when we needed it most. Thanks to their help we were able to find replacement coverage that allowed us to continue seeing the same care providers I’d been seeing throughout my pregnancy, and after the birth of my son they made sure my family was well supplied. I cannot imagine what we would’ve done without them and I am thankful every day for their support. I hope that they are around to help others for years to come.”

In 2015, EvergreenHealth Geriatric Care continued providing critical care and services to the community’s senior population through its memory care assessments and fall prevention program.

EvergreenHealth Community Grief & Bereavement Services EvergreenHealth’s levy-funded Community Grief & Bereavement Services have provided support to individuals and families anticipating a death, grieving a death or seeking to understand grief as a process since 1988. Today, the complimentary service offers consultations, assessments and referrals, along with access to support groups and community education. Specialty support is also available to couples, families and children following a pregnancy loss, and those facing sudden and traumatic deaths.

Group Support that Lasts a Lifetime EvergreenHealth’s six-week Adult Bereavement Series provides a safe, supportive environment for those coping with the death of a loved one. The series is held five times per year and has become a primary resource for bereavement support on the Eastside.

The program also has continually offered a group environment that builds bonds and friendships that last for years after the initial bereavement period ends. One group of women in particular, who attended the support group over five years ago after the death of their spouses, continues to meet monthly and provide friendship and support to one another.

When EvergreenHealth Partners (EHP) launched in 2013, it became the region’s first clinically integrated network, pursuing a vision to transform health care delivery in the Northwest and to offer the greatest value to both patients and providers.

In 2015, EHP continued on a strong growth path, expanding its provider membership base and increasing the number of lives covered by health plans that have selected EHP as its preferred network.

As its reach has grown, EHP providers continue to focus on value and cost efficiencies achieved by collaboration across member providers, all working toward shared goals measured by value and quality.

In 2015, the network established value and quality metrics within three focus areas including breast cancer screening, colorectal care and diabetes treatment. EHP provider members, nurse care managers and EvergreenHealth program directors worked together to identify the most at-risk patients within the focus areas to connect them with the resources to treat and monitor their condition and engage patients with education to promote their best health.

Launching Wellcentive In 2015, EvergreenHealth and EvergreenHealth Partners launched a new population health management platform, Wellcentive, to help nurse managers identify gaps in patient care and prioritize patients within the network’s focus areas. The digital platform was introduced to select EHP practices in 2015, and continues to complement work across member practices toward achieving value and quality metrics, which ultimately saves patients and providers unnecessary costs.

EvergreenHealth Financial Stewardship In 2015, EvergreenHealth achieved a net income of $21 million after expenses, to invest in the improvement of services and meet community needs.

EvergreenHealth contributed $15.7 million in funds to meet community needs and to foster the health and well-being of all those we serve. Of that total, $1.9 million supported charity care, $7.1 million covered subsidized Medicaid costs, $5.9 million made EvergreenHealth’s levy-funded programs possible and $800,000 was directed to subsidized health care services, which include EvergreenHealth’s complimentary 24/7 Nurse Navigator & Healthline.

EvergreenHealth Monroe Invests in its Patients and Community

In 2015, EvergreenHealth Monroe committed to increase access to the highest quality care and the most exceptional experience and service for the residents of East Snohomish County.

As part of its alliance with the Kirkland-based EvergreenHealth system, the 72-bed Monroe hospital renewed its commitment to the community, pledging to provide critical health services delivered by Monroe’s trusted providers.

In its first year as EvergreenHealth Monroe, the hospital recorded its first profitable year in nearly a decade, and reinvested in tools, technologies and infrastructure upgrades to deliver on its commitment to the community.

Expanding Primary Care

Fairfax Behavioral Health Opens in Monroe

In 2015, new primary care practices and providers in Sultan and Monroe joined the EvergreenHealth Medical Group, providing an important entry point for Snohomish County residents into the comprehensive care and services offered by the EvergreenHealth system.

EvergreenHealth Monroe and Fairfax Behavioral Health partnered to open a 34-bed psychiatric unit operated by Fairfax to provide critically needed inpatient mental health care services, utilizing a newly renovated wing on the EvergreenHealth Monroe campus.

New Emergency Department Providers

Foundation Campaign Dedicates Funds to Recovery Center Upgrades

Board-certified emergency physician leaders from EvergreenHealth’s Emergency Department joined the team in Monroe, assuming medical oversight of the EvergreenHealth Monroe emergency department to create a more seamless integration between the sister hospitals and enhance the continuity of care and consistency in service for patients seeking emergency care.

The EvergreenHealth Monroe Foundation led a mini-campaign to raise $150,000 to invest in structural upgrades for The Recovery Center at EvergreenHealth Monroe. The funds help the Recovery Center in its mission-driven work to provide inpatient drug and alcohol treatment for patients in King and Snohomish counties.

EvergreenHealth Introduces Rehab App Thanks to the Schultz Family Foundation Patients use their own device to follow rehabilitation instructions and report progress to their provider.

In 2015 EvergreenHealth introduced a new mobile app-based rehabilitation tool, Wellpepper, thanks to a generous donation from the Schultz Family Foundation.

Wellpepper provides an interactive platform for digital treatment plans that patients can use on their own smartphone.

Patient notifications with task-based instructions help patients navigate through their care and rehabilitation while the app tracks patient-reported outcomes. Physicians and their care teams can follow real-time patient engagement with their treatment plans while patients track their progress from diagnosis through recovery.

With great appreciation to the Schultz Family Foundation, we have been able to share this new technology with patients across several departments, with plans to expand its use and introduce additional interactive features in 2016.

Marcella, an 82-year-old knee replacement patient, was able to install the app on her iPhone and raves about its ease of use.

“I am no longer seeing my physical therapist in person, but have videos of myself doing all of my exercises so I can continue working on my PT from home,” she said.
