This is based on the reported violent crimes to FBI which includes murder, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.
According to a report compiled and released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Daytona Beach is one of the most dangerous city in Florida. For every 1,000 residents, there is a 12.78 crimes occurring within the city with property and motor-vehicle theft as the most prominent reported crime. Another famous destination for tourists which also belong to list of cities with high violent crimes is Miami with 9.78 violent crimes happen in every 1,000 residents. It is much higher compared to 3.76 per 1,000 in the entire US. Next came Orlando with 9.05 per 1,000, Key West with 7.94, and next is Ocala with 6.29 annual crime rate per 1,000 residents. These 5 cities are only a few example of cities in Florida where violent crime is high. Considering this record, a much empowered social control in the form of police officers is needed to control and minimize the occurrence of violent crimes in the said cities. One way to empower them is to provide them with an equipment for a faster response to emergency calls.
