IMMIGRATION AND ILLEGAL SALES In Spain, there are thousands of immigrants living on fake products illegal sales, counterfeits of big brands on squares, streets and on beachfronts, becoming this practice their only way to survive in a “False Promised Land” of prosperity and wealth in the European Continent, a reality we look many times at, not wanting to see.

Behind this practice there is also a social reality we shouldn’t ignore. Apparently tidy and healthy youngsters are the last link of organised crime chains, gangs which, besides the obvious crimes against private property, tax fraud or against the National Health Service, they exploit human beings leaving their honour damaged.

From Senegal with a final destination to In Spain, Senegalese immigrants are the largest group coming from the Sub-Saharan Africa, being the main destination for Senegalese youngsters, who see Europe as the land of freedom, prosperity, wealth and hope.

Almost the 80% of Senegalese dwellers in Spain, live and linger as fake products sellers, activity over which, in the last years, has increased a police pressure, spent nights in police stations and sometimes, immigrants even being imprisoned.

This kind of sells, along with the blankets black market, is not a crime, nor delinquency, it is an illegal activity, as many others, we can be more or less against, and which now, after the changes in the Penal Code, they want to punish, not searching for any alternative instead, and not accepting that this action is one of the few resources many families have to get a piece of bread in their mouths, fulfilling police and judicial pressure against the weakest and most vulnerable link of the chain.

Looking not eager to see We are capable of being two hours focusing our attention on a film or listening to music for 3 hours; however, we are not ready to give 5 minutes to see how these immigrant youngsters, who have become real mules of an illegal market, spend every 24 hours, long working days under the sun to get, in the end, some euros to survive.

This project’s aim is not to justify this kind of activity or illegal commerce, but simply to inform of a social gap with the indifference and complicity of our rulers and authorities, who put pressure on the weakest link of the chain, leaving the real leaders, distribution centers and organised crime syndicates responsable persons, absolutely free of guilt, they that grind human beings.

TAJABONE Tajabone is a Muslim celebration that puts an end to the Ramadan, as an action giving thanks, in which a lot of food is cooked.

Children visit every house singing and dancing, and they receive money, rice, wheat or biscuits as a reward, something similar to the European Christmas traditions and Thanksgiving Day in some other countries.

Many Senegalese children disguise, play on beaches, jump, run, smile, etc., and in their teenage years...they are carried along by beauty and goodness, something happens to their hearts, they close their eyes and hear...
