ALLEN CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Allen Career and Technical Education Program provides high school students the opportunity to complete career and technical education coursework and receive a CTE tuition credit

DUAL CREDIT

Dual credit is a program that allows high school students to earn both high school and college credit for the same course(s).

COLLEGE COURSES

Eudora Schools partners with Johnson County Community College, Allen County Community College, Emporia State University, and Baker University to offer concurrent and dual credit options. Advanced Placement courses are offered online through SchoolsPLP or through select in-person courses at the De Soto CTE Facility.

The Eudora High School’s Cardinal U offers opportunities for students to earn market-value assets through coursework in Career and Technical Education (CTE), college courses, and work-based learning.

MARKET VALUE ASSETS (MVA)

Industry-Recognized Credentials (IRCs)

An industry-recognized credential is a certification valued by employers, proving an individual's skills and expertise in a specific field. It helps align workers' abilities with job market needs, enhancing their career opportunities.

Dual Credit and Concurrent Credit

Students can earn high school credit and college credit through our dual credit and concurrent credit option(s).

Concurrent credit courses are taught by Eudora High School staff through a partnership with Johnson County Community College and Baker University.

Dual credit options are available through Allen County Community College, Emporia State University, and Baker University.

Work-Based Learning

Students complete meaningful workplace tasks that develop readiness for work, knowledge, and skills that support entry or advancement in a specific career field. CTE and Non-CTE related.

Entrepreneurial Experiences

Students identify a compelling social or market problem and mobilize resources to research and solve it. Leveraging input and support from multiple stakeholders, students analyze, design prototypes, implement, reflect, and adapt potential solutions.

Career Clusters are broad categories of careers. There are 16 Career Clusters. Career Pathways are focused, detailed routes within a cluster that guide students toward specific professions.

Peaslee Technical School is a technical training center located in Lawrence, Kansas, and is the largest Kansas-based provider of apprenticeship programs. Peaslee Tech is located at 2920 Haskell Avenue Suite #100, Lawrence, KS 66046.

Eudora High School juniors and seniors can enroll in the Peaslee Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses and earn an industry-recognized certificate upon completion of the program.

The Allen Career and Technical Education Program provides high school students the opportunity to complete career and technical education coursework and receive a CTE tuition credit for the cost of tuition, fees, and book rental (Excel in CTE).

Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses help students develop skills and knowledge for a variety of career fields. Students may also take exploratory coursework to gain insight into possible employment fields to assist with future career planning.

This list of courses is subject to change based on changes made to Excel in CTE/Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) OR funding and courses.
