LA ESKINNA Some of the best Mexican street fare in the city is being crafted out of this food truck parked in an industrial dirt lot. Park, scan the menu, place your order with the carhop and the food will be brought out to you. Tacos are king — the pastor, barbacoa, vegan chorizo and birria tacos are all winners. Don’t pass on the birria ramen and taquitos either. Churros with cajeta are a worthy ending. Closed Saturday. (reviewed Jan. 19) 1826 Saturn Blvd., Lot 4A, 407-575-9156, facebook. com/la.eskinna, $

CLEAN EATZ Clean Eatz focuses on healthy fare — cooked without oil and without added salt or sugar — without sacrificing flavor in dishes like baked boneless wings with Buffalo sauce and bison burgers with turkey bacon and low-fat cheese. Calories, BTW, are listed next to all café menu items as well as the grab-and-go meals stocked in the freezers. Smoothies are worth a slurp. Open daily. (reviewed Jan. 12) 2205 S. Orange Ave., 407-2370493, cleaneatz.com, $$

GET TWISTED! TAKE A BREAK FROM NORMAL RESTAURANT FOOD (EEEW). COME TO HASH HOUSE FOR A FARM FOOD DINNER THAT’LL PUT A TWISTED SMILE ON YOUR FACE!

THE MILKHOUSE Food hall-ish venue in the heart of the Milk District corrals a lineup of local heavy hitters: the Ravenous Pig Brewing Co., Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream and two concepts by Bruno Zacchini — Bagel Bruno and Cicchetti, his homage to the inviting bacari of Venice, where small bites and quality quaffs lure in the afterwork faithful. Open daily. (reviewed Dec. 22) 201 N. Bumby Ave., 407-237-0575, milkhousesocial.com, $$

JALAPEÑO’S MEXICAN EATS The barbacoa stars at this Maitland taqueria, though the chicken tinga shouldn’t be overlooked. You won’t find tamales done any better than here. Flan is homemade and the horchata impresses. Closed Sundays. (reviewed Dec. 15) 681 N. Orlando Ave., Maitland, 321-972-4086, facebook.com/ jalapenosmexicaneats, $$ n
