Can-Bike Ride with Confidence Course This course will prepare hesitant cyclists to ride safely on the road. The course is designed for cyclists who are comfortable riding on multi-use trails and within quiet urban neighbourhoods who wish to become comfortable riding on the road with motor vehicles. Town of Essex offers adult programs that focus on fun and fitness; it’s also a great way to meet new friends while staying healthy and active.

Couch to 5K Always wanted to be a runner, but don’t know where to start? You will be given a training plan, weekly workout, and other running related information. At the end of the class you will have the option to sign up for a local 5km run with our group! In inclement weather runs will take place at the Essex Centre Sports Complex track, otherwise all runs will be outdoors.

Yoga These classes will concentrate on breath and movement. Realigning the body, increasing flexibility, improving core strength, and releasing stress are some of the benefits of yoga. Focus postures will be detailed to build your personal repertoire. Modifications and equipment may be used during the Yoga class to assist participants through the movements if needed. Participants can register for the session or pay a drop-in rate.

Ball Hockey Ball hockey is a team sport and a variation of the sport of ice hockey and a specific variation of the game of street hockey. Participants must provide their own sticks - a helmet is recommended.

Adult Ukulele Join us for our first ever Adult Ukulele Club. Participants will love singing and playing together in this music club. Participants will build music development through playing the ukulele. Participants are required to bring their own ukulele.
