As I have aged, I have learned to reflect upon those individuals in my life who have supported me through good times and bad. For me, my parents are some of my biggest hero’s and I am so grateful for their love and support all of my life, even when I challenged every step of the way. This book is dedicated to my father in respect and appreciation for all that he has done for me and others.

A manly man, my father would rather serve others than serve himself, he would prefer to give to others than receive – a trait I aspire to achieve every day. As I embraced the world of Young Living my father became my test patient – trying this and that and exploring with me. I have created a blend, spray or roll on for him for every ailment he has experienced and he lovingly accepted each carefully crafted bottle with the love I have seen all of my life. Together we have explored non-toxic ways to improve his health with supplements and oils. I have love seeing the positive results and the reduction of over-the-counter dependency he has experienced in this journey.

This book is a collection of many of the recipes I have created for my dad and hope that the men in your lives find similar results that we have seen.

Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic essential oils derived from plants for the purpose of enhancing the well-being of one's physical or psychological health. Used for centuries as an alternative medicine that safely and effectively treats numerous ailments.

Inhaling aromas from essential oils can stimulate areas of your limbic system, which is part of your brain that plays a role in emotions, behaviors, sense of smell, and long-term memory.

Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants. The oils capture the plant's scent and flavor or "essence". Unique aromatic compounds give each essential oil its characteristic essence. It is this essence that is used in Essential Oils.

I have listened to many individuals tell me that "essential oils" give them a headache.

My first question is where are you buying them? True, pure quality essential oils are not purchased at the grocery store. Do your research and always find the highest quality available.

If you have ever enjoyed the scent of an orange being peeled, you’ve experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. Essential oils give plants their distinctive smells, essential oils protect plants and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their beautiful fragrance, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices.

But what exactly is a volatile aromatic compound? In short, these compounds are small organic molecules that tend to change quickly from their solid or liquid state to a gas at room temperature. They are called volatile because they change state quickly. When you first open a bottle of essential oil, you instantly notice that the aroma is potent and you can smell it typically even from some distance. The physical and chemical properties of the volatile aromatic compounds that compose essential oils allow them to quickly move through the air and directly interact with the olfactory sensors in the nose. Such unique properties make essential oils ideal for applications inclusion in aromatherapy – using these compounds from plants to help maintain a healthy mind and body – as well as other applications. The type of volatile aromatic compounds present in an essential oil determines both the oil’s aroma and the benefits it offers.

The nature of an essential oil varies from plant to plant, within botanical families, and from species to species.

The delicate ratio of aromatic constituents found in any given essential oil are what make it unique and give it specific benefits. Even with pure essential oils the composition of the oil can vary depending on the time of day, season, geographic location, method and duration of distillation, year grown, and the weather, making every step of the production process a critical determinant of the overall quality of the essential oil product.

Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single essential oils or in complex essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit.

Toilet Scrub ½ Cup Water ½ Cup Baking Soda ¼ Cup Hydrogen Peroxide ¼ Cup Thieves Dish Soap 15 Drops Eucalyptus Radiata Combine in spray bottle and shake well before using. Spray in toilet and let sit, scrub and flush.

Wood Floor Polish 1 Capful of Thieves Household Cleaner 1 Cup of Olive Oil 10 Drops Pine Essential Oil Use on real wood only.

Run Spice Aftershave 1/2 Cup Jamaican Rum 1 Cup Witch Hazel 1/2 Cup Aloe Vera 1 Tablespoon Glycerin 5 Drops Cinnamon Bark 5 Drops Clove 4 Drops Nutmeg 4 Drops Orange 3 Drops Rosemary 3/4 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract Using a funnel add all ingredients into a amber glass flip top bottle.

Gently shake to combine.

Carpet Spot Cleaner Mix & Spray to Spot Clean 1 Capful Thieves Household Cleaner 6 Cups Water 5-8 Drops of Purification Oil

Soft Scrub 3 Cups Baking Soda 3/4 Cup Thieves Household Cleaner 1 Tbsp Vinegar 30 Drops of Lemon In a large bowl combine cleaner, vinegar and Lemon, slowly add Baking Soda and stir to combine.

Add to glass container for storage.

Grill Cleaner Hand Scrub 8 Ounce Mason Jar 1 Cup White Sugar 1/4 Cup Sweet Almond Oil 20 Drops Lemon Combine all ingredients well in jar. Add an extra Tablespoon of Almond Oil on top during storage.

Use on dirty, greasy or paint splattered nails and hands. Rinse well.

1/4 Cup Baking Soda 1/2 Tbsp Castile Soap 7 Drops Lemon Distilled White Vinegar Combine baking soda, castile soap, and lemon in a small bowl.

Add vinegar until mixture is the consistence of olive oil. Brush on grill rack and let sit for 20 minutes. Scrub with a damp grill brush and rinse with water

In every journey we encounter individuals we may not have other wise met. During my wellness journey I have made amazing friends and learned so much from these individuals who generously have shared with me their knowledge and wisdom. It is because of these individuals I have pushed myself further and further to discover myself and my wellness and afforded me the opportunity to pay it forward to others.

Compelled to help others, I now have a new tool to help change the world, one drop at a time.
