Safety Tips

Never use essential oils directly in the eyes or ears.

Flush with a pure vegetable oil not water. Some oils are UV sensitive (citrus). Some are considered “hot” and will irritate the skin. Keep away from small children and supervise their use. Skin test for personal reactions.

Wash your hands after handling. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can be used sparingly.

We recommend using essential oils grown and processed under the standards established by Young Living’s Seed to Seal™. Know your sources. Use safety pre-cautions, common sense and other reference materials for further information.

People with serious health concerns or during pregnancy, should seek the advice of a health care professional.

Chemical Awareness There are over 80,000 manmade chemicals known to be in use by millions of people worldwide.

While some governing authorities advise that these chemicals are safe in low doses, there is a growing body of scientific evidence that suggests otherwise.

Everything we breathe, drink, eat or apply to our skin is absorbed into our bodies. Every 'body system' is compromised in some way, and has to work harder when a substance is toxic or too complex for the natural functions that keep us well.

A national study on chemical exposure called, "Is It In Us?" revealed that phthalates, BPA, PBDEs were found in blood sample from EVERY PERSON who took part in the study.

Less than 100 years a go man-made, synthetic chemicals were used sparingly and cautiously.

Now, chemicals surround us. We breathe, ingest and absorb them - and we accept this as a fact of science in modern life and we pay with the health consequences that unfold.

We have adopted alcohols, chlorines, detergents, emulsifiers, synthetic fragrances and dyes, heavy metals, pesticides and fungicides, petrochemicals, preservatives and drugs as every day necessity. The time has come to question if it's worth it or is there a better choice?

There are was to help reduce exposure to these chemicals.

The best way may seem old fashioned, but it works: Make your own products and grow your own food.

Stop purchasing and using chemical-laden products that do not have an immediate or proven impact that supports your well being! Question "the science," the resources, and source(s) of every product.

Beauty is more than skin deep.

Chemical Awareness These are some of the most commonly ingredients found in popular beauty products, and worth avoiding:

Lead is a toxic heavy metal which is more prevalent than ever.

It is found in whitening toothpastes and lipsticks, and in other substances. The adverse effects of lead exposure are thoroughly documented and include, neurotoxicity (brain damage), seizures, gastrointestinal issues, reproductive dysfunction such as reduced sperm count and motility, and kidney dysfunction.

Formaldehyde is used in nail polish, shampoos, baby shampoos, and liquid body soaps. Side effects include skin irritation and nausea. Formaldehyde exposure may be a contributing factor in cancer development. (International Agency for Research.)

Parabens are used as a preservative and are noted as proplyparaben, methylparaben, ethylparaben and butylparaben.

They are found in body creams, lotions and shampoos, as well as in almost any beauty product that has water added to it. Parabens have been shown to not only disrupt hormones, but also to potentially cause cancer.

Phthalates were found in at least 72 products tested, although it was not listed on any list of ingredients. The only exception was nail polish. This toxic chemical is a fragrance used in vinyl shower curtains (it gives vinyl its smell), air fresheners, detergents and more. Like parabens, phythalates have been shown to disrupt hormones and decrease sperm count.

BHA and BHT Used mainly in moisturizers and makeup as preservatives. Suspected endocrine disruptors. May cause cancer (BHA).

Harmful to fish and other wildlife.

Nitrosamines are not often listed as an ingredient on cosmetic products because they are seen as impurities, not actual ingredients. This toxin is so prolific, it is found in almost every skin care product. It's in baby shampoos, tanning lotions, mascara, concealer - and the list goes on. Many studies link nitrosamine to cancer. In 1996, the FDA suggested cosmetic manufacturers remove any "causative agents that create nitrosamine." This suggestion has been largely ignored, as the Environmental Workings Group found that 1 in 10 cosmetics still contain combinations of ingredients that create nitrosamines.

Sodium laureth sulfate Used in some foaming cosmetics, such as shampoos, cleansers and bubble bath. Can be contaminated with 1, 4-dioxane, which may cause cancer.

Chemical Awareness Coal Tar dyes p-phenylenediamine and colours listed as "CI" followed by five digits. P-phenylenediamine is used in some hair dyes; other colours are used in a variety of cosmetics.

Potential to cause cancer and may be contaminated with heavy metals that are toxic to the brain and central nervous system.

DEA-related ingredients Used in some cream and foaming products, such as moisturizers and shampoos. Can react to form nitrosamines, which may cause cancer. Harmful to fish and other wildlife.

Dibutyl phthalate Used as a plasticizer in some nail care products. Suspected endocrine disrupter and reproductive toxicant. Harmful to fish and wildlife.

Parfum: Any mixture of fragrance ingredients used in a variety of cosmetics. Some fragrance ingredients can trigger allergies and asthma. Some linked to cancer and neurotoxicity. Some harmful to fish and other wildlife.

Petrolatum: Used in some hair products for shine and as a moisture barrier in some lip sticks and moisturizers. Can be contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which may cause cancer.

Siloxanes: Used in a variety of cosmetics to soften, smooth and moisten. Suspected endocrine disrupter and reproductive toxicant.

Harmful to fish ad other wildlife.

PEGs (e.g. PEG-60): Used in some cosmetic cream bases. Can be contaminated with 1, 4-dioxane, which may cause cancer.

Triclosan: Used in some antibacterial cosmetics, such as toothpastes, cleansers and deodorants.

Suspected endocrine disrupter and may contribute to antibiotic resistance in bacteria and gut flora.

Harmful to fish and other wildlife.

Masked Language: Fragrance formulas are considered "trade secrets" so the ingredients in fragrances are not required to be listed. Dating back to Roman times "Intellectual Property" was a principal securing the master's position. Trade Secrets incited Patent Laws (1938 Act) which were quickly leveraged for Free Trade and global marketing to protect the industry, not the consumer.

Nature Based Planning The cosmetic, personal care, and household product industries will continue to supply what the consumer demands. Every dollar spent is a message. If we buy something, the market will keep making it and selling it. When mothers, fathers, grandparents, teachers, physicians, housekeepers, gardeners, farmers, lawyers and scientists unite to protect human health and our planet's precious, limited resources, a whole new way of life will unfold.

Some careers will have to shift! Science, that supports product development won't end. Consumer's still want proof that "someone knows more than they do." It takes unbiased objectivity for "science" to alter a core belief like: isolated, manmade chemicals are good for us. We can see the potential of whole structures, left intact, might be safer. Let's support "science" that honors our relationship with nature!

Let's take simple steps to transfer old habits using chemicals and cosmetics that are harming us and the environment, to plants that 'do not harm.' Let's be more mindful of body wash, shampoos and detergents that may contain 22 toxic chemicals, or deodorants that clog our lymphatic system with heavy metals. Maybe, take time to look up the chemicals that manufacturer's patent and ask why they are protected from revealing "trade secrets."

Make Your First Roll-On: add essential oils to a 5 ml roll-on bottle. Fill roller bottle with organic massage oil. Adjust ratios for other sizes. *Ocotea is milder. *Blue Spruce & Black Spruce can substitute for each other if out of stock. *Copaiba less scent.

Body Spray or Room Spritzer: add to 8 oz bottle; 2/3 spring water and 1/3 spirits or witch hazel.

Shake before misting.

Many people in the healing arts suggest that "your intentions" hold the key to the outcome you wish to receive. Vitality Reference Guide Young Living offers a complete line of dietary-grade essential oils - known as Vitality™ Oils - identifiable by their distinctive white label.

Vitality oils can be used in cooking, infused water, added to beverages, and ingested using vegetable capsules to create a supplement to support individual wellness needs.

When adding essential oils to cooking, it is important to remember a little goes a long ways. It is recommended to add 1 to 2 drops at first, or event the toothpick method.

Glossary List Aloe Vera Gel: a plant sap used for wounds, burns and skin abrasions from the split leaf of an aloe vera succulent.

Almond, Jojoba, Olive, Sesame or Grapeseed Oils: naturally occurring extracts from nuts, trees and seeds. Available in large quantity.

Beeswax: a natural wax produced in the bee hive by the genus “Apis.”

Available at large outlet stores, internet sources and candle shops.

Betonite clay: naturally occurring clay for internal and external cleansing. Composed of minerals with an ability to absorb toxins.

CBD Oil Base: Hemp based cannabidiol known for safe, natural and calming effects for minor pain relief and anti-aging skin care.

Citric acid: a natural preservative to add acidity. Used as a chelator.

Coconut Oil: cold pressed (less odor) from matured coconuts, or expeller pressed (more odor). Medium-fat chain, edible & nutritional.

Emulsifying Wax: vegetable or (petroleum-based) wax causing oil and water to bind together. Used as a thickening agent.

Epsom Salts: can be found in many stores. Contains magnesium sulfate which aids in muscle relaxation and reduces soreness.

Grapeseed oil: readily available. A potent antioxidant. Used in body care products to maintain freshness and for anti-aging benefits.

Iodine: Rare in many soils, causing deficiencies including intellectual abilities, thyroid function and nutrient absorption. Water-soluble.

Organic Sugar: sugar cane or sugar beets harvested from a certified organic grower. (It is still a processed food. Limit your consumption!)

Shea or Cocoa Butter: fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree or nut oils from cocoa.

Vegetable Glycerin: found in many major outlet stores and health food stores. Derived from vegetable fat, used for moisturizing.

V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex/Young Living: fractionated coconut oil, sesame, grapeseed, sweet almond, wheatgerm, sunflower & olive oil.

Zinc oxide: inorganic compound with most known as effective for total sun block in extreme cases: sensitive skin/tropical sun.

DIY Beauty Day It's fun and easy to host a Beauty Make & take!

Make a few chosen recipes ahead of time. Offer a brief description on how you did it. Sell empty containers with DIY Instructions for guests to repeat.

Have a "Make and Take" table for people to add their own unique scents to body sprays, spritzers, roll-ons, lotions, air fresheners, and children's products.

Make everything together to treat your friends and family to a safe, fun-filled day of healthy products for your entire body. (Block out more time if you do this.)

Make it "pretty!" Offer creative jars, bottles and labels along with colorful bags to put finished items in to take home. And don't forget to send a pretty thank you card!

Beauty Recipes Glorious Elixir for Face & Hands

In a 1 oz. amber bottle with eye dropper add 1/2 oz.

Macadamia Nut oil, 1 dropper of Jojoba oil, 6 drops of Evening Primrose oil.

Top off bottle with distilled water. Add essential oils of choice. Suggested formulas to try: 2 d Geranium, 2 d Lavender, 2 d Patchouli.

Glo’s favorite: 3 d Copaiba, 3 d Cedarwood.

Other: 3 d Frankincense, 3 d Sandalwood, 6 d of Young Living Beauty Serum or just 6 drops of pure Lavender!

Shake bottle well before each use.

Squeeze half to one dropper of mixture in hand.

Stir and apply to face, avoiding the eyes.

Complexion Correction

For Daily Skin Care:

Beauty Recipes Customized Facial Masks Sensitive Skin Mask Mix equal parts of green clay with aloe vera gel. Thin this mixture with spring water. Add 2 drops of Lavender and 1 drop each of Melaleuca and Copaiba essential oils.

Spread gently over clean, damp face and neck (avoid eye contact). Leave on for 15 minutes. Relax. Rinse well with warm water. Finish with a toner and moisturizer.

Green clay masks are used to soften the skin, improve coloring, treat mild acne, clear pores and increase elasticity of the skin.

Note: Masks may cause redness and impurities to be pulled to the surface. It is not advisable to use prior to a special occasion. Skin test a small area before committing to a full mask or suggested essential oils.

Oatmeal Skin Mask

For Irritated Skin: 2 Tbls instant oatmeal 1 Tbls bentonite clay 1 Tbls yogurt 1 tsp V-6 vegetable oil complex 1/2 tsp honey 1 drop each: frankincense, sandalwood, & rose essential oil.

Mix the oatmeal, clay, V-6 massage oil, honey and yogurt in a small bowl. Add the essential oils and blend well.

Thin with a little water if needed. Apply to face and neck.

Leave on for 15 minutes. Triple recipe for full body mask and leave on 25 minutes. Rinse with tepid water.

Beauty Recipes Essentially Sweet Mask

2 teaspoons honey or agave 1 drop Frankincense 1 drop Sandalwood 1 drop Carrot Seed oil (anti-aging and sun safe)

Mix in the palm of your hand and apply to clean skin.

Relax for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

For oily skin: Juniper.

For normal skin: Geranium.

For sensitive skin: Copaiba.

Remember to keep oils away from your eyes! Moisturize according to skin type and environmental exposure.

Extra Gentle Face Scrub Pour 2-3 tsp. of baking soda into the palm of your hand.

Add 1 drop of Lavender or Clary Sage. Add a little warm water to make a paste. Apply and wash, massaging gently in a circular motion.

Glowing Goddess Combine 1 Tbsp Honey, 1 Tbsp of Bentonite Clay, 1 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar, and enough water to make a paste.

Apply to face, allow to try and remove with a warm cloth.

Lovely Lashes 6-10 Drops Lavender, 6-10 Rosemary, 6-10 Cedarwood, Castor Oil. Add essential oils to a clean tube of mascara and top with Castor oil. Apply to clean lashes daily.

Beauty Recipes Mama's Face Serum 10 Drops Blue Tansy 10 Drops Frankincense 5 Drops Geranium 5 Drops Patchouli 2 Drops Rose 2 Drops Lavender

Place all oils in a 15 ml serum bottle with dropper.

Top with Jojoba Oil or Rose Hip Oil. Use morning and night after cleansing face.

Pro tip:

Combine with CBD Beauty Boost or CBD Oil base for an extra luxurious face serum.

Mama's Glow Spray 3 Drops Blue Tansy 3 Drops Geranium 2 Drops Patchouli 3 Drops Vitamin E Oil

Place all oils in a small spray bottle.

Top with Rose Water.

Use morning and night after Mama's Face Serum.

Mama's Sassy Lip Balm 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 3/4 Tablespoons Beeswax 1/2 Teaspoon Honey 1/2 Teaspoon Cocoa Butter Melt over low heat; add 1 vitamin E capsule and essential oils to desired strength: Peppermint, Lavender, Frankincense

Beauty Recipes DIY with CBD

Create your own CBD Oil Blend by adding essential oils to CBD Oil Base and apply as desired. (See other recipes in this book.)

Simple Skin toner 2 ounces green tea or 2 oz. witch hazel or 1 oz. cider vinegar 5 drops lavender oil, 5 drops geranium oil Combine. Use morning and night after washing your face.

Pro-tip!

Try Claraderm Spray as a daily facial routine.

tooth Polishing

1/4 cup coconut oil 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda Play with vitality oils: Thieves, Spearmint, Peppermint, Frankincense or any citrus oils.

Nail Polish Remover 2/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar or 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, 6 Drops Citrus Fresh Essential Oil, 7 Drops Lemon Essential Oil. Combine all ingredients into small glass dropper bottle and use to remove polish.

Beauty Recipes Blue tansy Secret Add 10-15 drops of Blue Tansy to your favorite conditioner, shake to combine. Wash hair as normal, apply conditioner and work through hair.

Rinse in warm water. Style as normal.

Beauty Recipes Coconut Hair & Scalp tonic Melt 1/2 to 1 cup of organic coconut oil.

(Do not burn while heating.) Add essential oils:

Dry Hair: Lavender, Rosemary, Geranium, and Sandalwood

Oily Hair: Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon, Cypress, and Peppermint

Dry Scalp or Dandruff: Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon, Cypress, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Thyme, Basil and Sage

Massage gently and cover with shower cap. Leave on over night for very dry hair. For oily or normal hair type 2 hours is enough. Wash with favorite (Young Living) shampoo.

Condition as necessary.

DIY Hair Mask 3 Tbls Coconut Oil, 1 Tbls V-6, 4 Drops Cedarwood, 4 Drops Lavender. Melt all ingredients over low heat, stir to combine well. Apply to dry hair.

Once all hair has been fully saturated, wash with warm water, then style as desired.

Silver Hair Rinse Combine 1 Cup of boiling water, one fresh sprig of rosemary or 1 chamomile tea bag for blonde hair, 3 drops of rosemary oil (or thyme oil), 2 drops of sage oil (or chamomile oil for blonde hair) into a mason jar. Allow to seep for 30 minutes. Apply to hair daily as a final rinse.

Beauty Recipes the one oil that is perhaps more essential than any other oil...Coconut Oil! If you want to learn more about coconut oil, find a book on its many uses. Keep in mind it has a natural SPF of 6-8.

It is edible and therefore safe. It will absorb into the deeper layers of the skin and makes a great moisturizer as well as a perfect base for other recipes.

Soothing Chest Rub

1/4 cup coconut oil 4 d each of: lemon, peppermint & eucalyptus radiata.

Store in glass container. This is gentle on the skin, cooling to the chest and warming to the heart.

Sleepy time Rub

1/4 cup coconut oil 12 drops each: Lavender, Cedarwood, Peace & Calming, Valor

tinted Lip Balm

1/4 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup Shea Butter 1/8 cup bees wax 4 capsules of beet root powder 15 drops essential oils –not hot or citrus oils!

Melt first three ingredients in double boiler. Cool.

1/4 cup coconut oil 1/4 cup raw honey 1/2 cup liquid Castile 15 drops each: eucalyptus oil, orange, lemon (or grapefruit)

Gently warm coconut oil and honey. Slowly add Castile soap, stir without creating suds. Funnel into glass or plastic bottles. Shake before each use.

Brazilian Night Cream

1/2 Cup V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil 2 Tablespoons MSM Powder 2 Tablespoons Lecithin 2 Tablespoons Beeswax 2 Tablespoons Goat's Milk

Combine the above ingredients over low heat.

Once cooled, add 3/4 Cup Distilled Water.

Add 12 drops total of desired essential oils to support skin challenges: Copaiba, Cedarwood, Lavender, Peppermint, Geranium, etc.

Bath Melts 2 cups cocoa butter 2 cups baking soda 1 cup citric acid Powdered herbs or powdered oatmeal for texture Essential oil of choice. (Food coloring optional.)

Melt cocoa butter. Add essential oil, then dry ingredients.

Put in molds and refrigerate. Pop out and let sit 1 - 2 days.

Wrap in foil or cellophane.

Body Recipes Scent Your Own Glorious Lotion Oil Phase: 1 cup coconut oil 1 cup sweet almond oil 1 Tbls grape seed extract 1 cup emulsifying wax 1/4 cup steric acid Option: Use V-6 Veg. Complex Oil

Water Phase: 6 1/2 cups distilled water 1/4 cup vegetable glycerine

Options: 3 Tbls MSM Powder or 3/4 Cup *Aloe Vera Gel or 3/4 Cup *Goat’s Milk (*Reduce water by 1/2 cup)

Heat both separately until hot, but not boiling. Pour water mixture in a pan. Start electric mixer. Gradually pour in the oil mixture to blend. Mix until it starts to cool and begins to thicken. Then add 4-6 drops of Tea Tree (melaleuca) oil. This will be enough for a preservative, but not enough to add scent. If pouring into small plastic containers, do this before it is completely cooled. Add essential oils when nearly cool or add later at a Make & Take!

Essential Oil Options: copaiba, frankincense, myrrh, geranium, jasmine, ylang ylang, peppermint, Harmony, Peace & Calming, Gentle Baby, or Joy.

Body Butter Combine 8 ounces Shea Butter, 8 ounces Coconut Oil and 2 Tablespoons Vitamin E Oil in a double boiler.

Let cool to room temperature and add essential oils: 30 Drops (d) Lavender, 20 d Frankincense, 20 d Geranium, 20 d Grapefruit (or Lemon), 10 d Patchouli.

Apply to stretch marks 2-3 times a day.

Place cut-up mango butter, apricot oil and essential oils in a bowl. Using the back of a spoon or a fork, work butter and oils into a paste. To add volume and give it a fluffy consistency, whip paste with an electric mixer for several minutes until it has increased in volume and is a bit stiff. Place finished product in containers and store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.

Mix the following ingredients to form a paste: 1 cup organic oatmeal 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup sea salt 10 drops each of rosemary and grapefruit oil 10 drops of either orange or lavender oil Recipe variation: 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1/2 cup clay.

Gently massage body with mixture, using a circular motion.

Soak in a warm tub for 20 minutes or simply rinse off mixture in the shower.

Home Recipes Furniture Fresh 16 oz spray bottle 2 tsp olive oil Fill with warm water Add 5-6 drops of lemon and 4-5 drops of lavender Spray on soft rag or directly on furniture (depending on type of surface). Wipe dry immediately.

Fan Blade Cleaner In a spray bottle or bowl, mix the following: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner and 2 cups water.

Wipe off fan blades, light fixtures, and ceiling mount with a damp cloth. Dip the same cloth in the solution and thoroughly wipe down the blades to remove built-up dust.

Dry with a clean cloth. Try this on your air vents, bathroom vents, and anywhere dust gathers.

Aromatherapy Rice Bags You will need: A piece of cloth to sew into a bag, or sock to tie a knot in. Enough rice to fill the bag. A needle and thread to sew it closed. Select your favorite essential oils.

Put the rice and desired essential oils into a bowl and stir well. Let sit for 12-24 hours to allow the oils to mix with the rice. Sew up the cloth fabric so that every side is stitched, except for the top. Pour rice into the bag. Make sure that there is enough room at the top so that it isn't overfilled. Sew the top of the bag closed. Be sure to sew it well so that no rice escapes when using. The bag can be frozen for an ice pack or heated in the microwave for a warm pack.

Add fresh oils whenever needed or desired.

Home Recipes Alice's Looking Glass 16 ounce spray bottle 2/3 spring or distilled water 1/3 vinegar 6-8 drops Purification 6-8 drops Citrus Fresh Apply on windows, mirrors, screen/monitors.

Aroma Home Soap 1/2 cup Shea or Coconut Butter 1/2 cup Coconut Oil 1/2 cup Beeswax 1/2 tsp Vitamin E Oil 30 drops essential oils (your choice)

Combine all ingredients in a double boiler, except the essential oils. Stir constantly until ingredients are melted.

Remove from heat, add essential oils, pour into molds or pan with wax paper lining. Cut into bars when cool.

Oven Fresh Sprinkle baking soda directly on stove top or bottom of dirty oven and door.

Home Recipes Diffuser Hacks 1/2 Cup Pink Himalayan Salt Your Favorite Essential Oils and a Decorative Bowl

Put salt into bowl and add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. Place anywhere you want to smell fresh and beautiful. Add drops every few days. Recycle the salt by dissolving it in a nice warm bath and replace as desired.

Nature's Room Spritzer Combine in any spray bottle (2-8 oz for pocket or counter top)

2/3 cup spring water 1/3 cup neutral spirits (80 proof Vodka or Witch Hazel) 10 to 20 drops of essential oils (depends on container size) Use as perfume: Ylang ylang, Joy, Gentle Baby, Sacred Mt. Air Deodorizer: Any citrus oils, Purification, Thieves, Christmas Spirit

*Favorite recipe since 2006: 10 drops Purification, 6 drops Citrus fresh, plus 1 drop cinnamon.

Vanilla Citrus Soap 1 lb Glycerine Soap (clear or white) 12 Drops Tangerine essential oil 8 Drops Lavender essential oil 4 Drops Vanilla Oil or 2 tsp Vanilla extract

Melt soap over hot water. Add oils after melted. Add natural colorant if desired.

Home Recipes Be Free Outdoor Spray Mix 2/3 cup spring (or distilled water) with 1/3 cup witch hazel (or 80% vodka).

Add 20 drops per 1/2 cup container:

Purification, R.C., Patchouli, Idaho tansy, chamomile, citronella, peppermint, rosemary, lemongrass, thyme or spearmint. Be creative! Spray topically as desired.

Critter Cream Use an organic lotion, coconut or V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex

For each 1/2 cup add 20 drops of essential oil choice: Purification, Hong Kuai, R.C., Patchouli, Idaho tansy, peppermint, rosemary or lemongrass.

Garden Bug Bee Gone 1 Ounce Liquid Coconut 20 Drops Peppermint Oil 2- Drops Lavender Oil

Fill standard spray bottle with water.

Shake prior to using. Spray garden beds and flowers as desired. The coconut oil helps coat the plants and remains in place through rain (without harm).

Pro-tip Add a few drops of Citrus Fresh to cotton balls and place in dresser drawers and garbage cans to keep things fresh.

Home Recipes Hand Wipes

1 large roll of Bounty paper towels (Bounty works best!).

Cut in half at center (save the other half for next time).

Place paper towels in a 9" round container.

Mix 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water 1 to 2 Tbls of bath gel base.

1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner Add 10-12 drops of an essential oil of your choice.

Pour into container, cover and let soak.

Carefully remove the cardboard tube and pull wipes from center as needed. These last a long time!

For Hand wipes: Lemon, Lavender, Purification or Thieves (cleanliness). For Baby wipes: Lavender, Cedarwood or Gentle Baby (sensitive skin).

Outdoor Wipes Follow directions for Hand Wipes: Add essential oils: Citronella, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Purification, etc...

Home Recipes Children Love Essential Oils Essential oils can be beneficial for all family members, including children. Similar to most cautions and suggestions, remember children and especially babies are little people with lower body weight and sensitive skin.

Essential oils are derived from plants so there's no reason to be afraid of them. They are part of nature and part of living in a balanced world. There are two main categories: calming and energizing (Night & Day). Continue to be a 'little learner' as you navigate being a parent, who wants the best and safest products for their children.

Keep your essential oils in a safe place and out of reach of curious little eyes, mouths and hands. Do not use orally without the advice and supervision of a health care professional. Note: over 90% of the essential oils being marketed are not safe to ingest, because they are not nature-based and are unregulated. Homemade Playdough

2 Cups Flour 2 Cups Water 1/2 Cup Salt 4 tsp Cream of Tartar 2 Tbls Vegetable Oil

Combine all ingredients and cook on low heat until a soft ball forms. Before cold, add essential oils and food coloring if desired. Store in an air tight container.

Preheat oven to 225 degrees. Use Thieves Fruit & Veggie Spray to clean fruit. With a mandolin or knife, thinly slice apples from top to bottom. In a small bowl, combine honey and Cinnamon Bark Vitality. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper and place apple slices on top. Drizzle with Honey mixture over apple slices. Bake for 90 minutes. Remove from oven and place apple slices on cooling rack.

Store in airtight container and enjoy within 24 hours.

Melt chocolate chips in double boiler over low heat, mix in Cardamom vitality oil. Spread mixture evenly over baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Line up pretzels and press into chocolate before it cools. Melt caramel and drizzle over chocolate and pretzels. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Refrigerate until hardened. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

Peppermint Brownies 1 15 Ounce can low-sodium black beans 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil 1/4 Cup unsweetened Cocoa Powder 1/8 Teaspoon Salt 2 Teaspoons (Michael's) Vanilla Extract 1/2 Cup Honey 3 Eggs 2-4 Drops Peppermint Vitality Essential Oil

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Rinse and drain black beans. Melt coconut oil on stove until clear.

Blend all ingredients except eggs in food processor until smooth. In a separate bowl, lightly whisk eggs until well beaten. Fold into chocolate mixture. Pour mixture into a greased 8 X 8 pan and bake 25-30 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes then cut. Cool another 15 minutes and serve.
