The Community Alongside our sister associations, AEO and AEV, we are based around a strong community of people all striving towards a common goal of industry growth and a standards led approach. There are complimentary places at our annual ESSA G50+Conference, AGM as well as fantastic deals on tickets to ‘In the Rough’ Charity Golf Day and AEO events such as the AEO Awards (including free category entry for members usually £150), Conference, Marketing and Ops Forums.

The Events Throughout the year we host three major events for our members and the wider industry. Each serves its individual purpose but they are an opportunity for members to come together and share in their similarities, network and make connections. We know your time is valuable, so we endeavour to make each of our annual events as educational, informative and efficient as possible with external key note speakers and relevant industry peer presentations. Our key annual events are: ● G50+Conference ● AGM ● ‘In The Rough’ Event Industry Charity Golf Day - this event sees suppliers, venues and organisers come together to raise money for our selected charities.

Pro-activity: Not just a silent partner We believe in being at the forefront of any industry issue, delivering facts and influencing change instead of indulging in rumours. As such, most recently we have made it our mission to take point on the recent Construction, Design and Management (CDM) regulation enforcement which has hung over the industry. Over more than four years, we have been heavily involved in liasing directly with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Joint Advisory Committee of Entertainment (JACE) in order to not only better understand how the enforcement would effect the industry, but to actively appeal for changes to be made to the regulations to better apply to the events industry. In addition, we also worked to produce a concise range of resources, including templates, fact sheets, and even an app to aid the industry in adhering to CDM and making the transitions as seamless as possible. All relevant information has also been made available via hardcopy, and digital, ‘how to comply’ documents, providing simple step-by-step guides to complying with CDM2015. Make sure you’re at the forefront of the developments that are affecting your industry. Get the information you need and be a part of a community making a difference.
