May promises a fantastic stretch of weather perfect for golf. The course is in excellent condition, and it has been wonderful seeing so many of you enjoying the course and everything the club offers this spring. We have a full calendar of events to look forward to. Mother’s Day is just around the corner on May 11th so make your reservation early to celebrate with family and friends! Twilight Golf returns this Sunday, May 4th, and the Match Play Championship will be held Friday through Sunday, May 16th – 18th. Don’t forget, the pool officially opens on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We can’t wait to kick off a fantastic summer season with you!
I have some exciting golf course news to share with you. When Tripp Davis designed the bunker renovation, it included a second phase: replacing the golf course irrigation system. This phase was slated for 2026, but we have decided to move forward this year. We are working closely with EC Design on a comprehensive new golf course irrigation system. This multi-million-dollar upgrade will include a new pumphouse, complete pipe replacement on the property, updated electronics, modern irrigation heads for the golf course, driving range, and clubhouse surroundings. The new irrigation system offers numerous benefits, including improved turf quality, reduced water usage, and more consistent playing conditions. It also allows for greater control over water application, leading to better turf health and reduced risk of diseases.
We are about 60% through the design process and anticipate completion around June 1st. At that point, the project will be put out for bid. If everything aligns with contractor availability and scheduling, we are targeting a start date in the fourth quarter of this year, with work continuing into the first quarter of 2026. We are anticipating the timeline of replacing the irrigation system will take an estimated 4-6 months, depending on the weather. It will only take one hole out of play at a time.
We have postponed the clubhouse refresh this year to prioritize this critical infrastructure project. While the refresh is still very much on our radar, updating our 34-year-old irrigation infrastructure is currently the higher priority, which will benefit the course and surrounding areas for many years to follow. I'll keep you posted with more specific details about the project timeline and scope as they become available.

As we discussed in a previous blog, the bunker renovation moved the greenside bunkers closer to the greens, because of this and the high use of electric and manual push carts, traffic stress developed on several collars For the most part, the white stakes with black tops have rectified the traffic patterns With that being said, the picture on the right is showing signs of traffic issues, so we added stakes to that area to divert the cart traffic Hopefully, if we can communicate the need not to use push carts in the tight areas between the greens and bunkers, the use of stakes can be temporary I realize this will change how you usually maneuver around the property, so your cooperation is greatly appreciated
Yours in turf, Stacy L Wallace

This is a friendly reminder that raking bunkers correctly is even more critical as we enter the busy season The way to do this is to rake sand away from you, not up the face of a bunker, and not drag all the sand as you leave the bunker Knock excess sand off your shoes before walking onto the green
Fairways and greens!
