GOLF UPDATE

Let the games begin! What a great start to our 2023 season We have made it through greens aerification, fairway verticutting, fairway aerification and hopefully the cold and rainy weather May was the beginning of our LGA, MGA and Couples events We even threw in a couple Demo Days and began with a full house of our Women’s Rookie Program to start the season off right

The LGA hosted their Opening Day event and finally the weather cooperated with us to play! Winning by a nose in the Derby themed horse race was LOOSE

IMPEDIMENT (Tee Pazitney, Peggy Weiss, Claire Szczerbinski and Therese Wiley) 2nd Place DIVOT DIVA (Daryl Nels, Tammy Ross and Nancy Schindler) 3rd Place CHILI DIP (Angie Degenhart, Julie Wentworth and Carol Smith). Great job Ladies!

The LGA also hosted a 9-Hole Mixer this month with the Vegas Scramble which was a big hit. Taking home the victory was the team of Angie Degenhart, Tammy Ross and Joan Pratt. 2nd Place was Molly Horstman, Beccy Stewart and Harriett Reichley. 3rd Place was Tracey Hollenbaugh, Becky Knipper and Diane Plumert. Great event ladies and looking forward to our next one.

The MGA daily games began early May and to kick off a great MGA season was the MGA Open on May 13th Ten 4-Man teams battled it out in a 2 best ball of 4 net format Taking home the championship by 3 strokes, shooting 14 under, was the team of Ron Bryant, David Carter, Dave Smith and Scott Williams 2nd Place shooting -11 Lee Erdman, Tom Hoskins, Mike Knipper and Dave Propst Two teams tied in 3rd Place shooting -10 were Augustine Alifo, Scott Liddic, John Schulte and Dan Young Mike Palmer, Michael Palmer, Scott Putnam and Daniel Willis It was a great turnout and a good time had by all

The 1st Friday night 9 & Dine was a great success. It was a fun, derby themed golf format. In a photo finish the team of Brad & Kate Boehmke with Jansen & Helen Meyers took home the trophy posting a great score of 40.We had two teams tie for second shooting 41 respectfully: Alex & Deb Bilbrey with Andy & Becky Wiley, Andrew & Erica Bogle with Larry & Amanda McKeever. Thank you to all participants for making this monthly event fun!
