Emily came to Episcopal from The College of William and Mary where she served as a visiting professor of English. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Stanford University where she earned her Ph.D. and Christopher Newport University. She teaches two sections of 9th grade English as well as assists with the JV girls’ soccer team. In addition, she serves on the Activities Team.

Before coming to Episcopal, Stacie worked for two years in the dean of students’ office at Miss Porter’s School, where she designed the student life curriculum, worked closely with student leaders, founded a Habitat for Humanity initiative, served as an assistant dormitory director, and coached. Prior to that, she worked as coordinator of residential life in the summer program of the Leysin American School in Switzerland and has also spent summers working for Duke University’s Talent Identification Program in North Carolina and Greece. In addition to her primary assignment in the Dean’s Office, Stacie teaches mathematics, coaches girls’ JV field hockey, and serves as head of Harrison Dorm. She is also the primary organizer of the new student orientation program. Stacie lives on Harrison with her husband, Jeffrey; their daughters, Zoe, Grace, and Stella; and their cats, Pi and Elcie.
