A Message from our head of school Dr. Dwight Carlblom There are many things that we can do too often, like eating dark chocolate M&M’s (my personal favorite), binge watching Downton Abbey(another favorite), and continuing to cheer for the Minnesota Vikings(I know, I know…). But something we can’t do enough of is to thank you and your family for your financial support of our Epiphany fund! Because of you we are able to do so many things that wouldn’t be provided for with tuition alone. Over the last few years, because of your support, Epiphany has been able to provide resources during COVID, fill in the gap for items needed for individual classrooms, continue programs while working to enhance ones such as the arts and athletics. These are just a few of the amazing things Epiphany Fund allows the school to do. So, once again, thank you! Not only for your financial support, however. We find that those families who support Epiphany financially often support us in so many other ways, like words of encouragement, attending Epiphany events, and telling their neighbors and friends about Epiphany. That makes you most valuable to Epiphany. Thank you! God’s blessings, Dwight

Epiphany Parent teacher organization 2020-2021 PTO is a nonprofit group of parents, teachers and school administrators dedicated to improving the educational experience of all students at The Epiphany School of Global Studies. Our objectives encourage the interaction between family and school, support school operations and enhance school spirit. PTO works closely with the school administration to meet these goals.

A message from the PTO President Although we have not been able to have some of our in person events, your PTO has been hard at work behind the scenes since the summer. Our commitment to enhance the educational environment and opportunities for our students remains top priority. The ongoing mini-grant program is in full swing and for this school year, we have already funded online curriculum subscriptions for both the lower and middle school Spanish teachers, furniture and accessories for the Learning Center, and replacement picnic tables for the 3rd and 4th grade building. On the Service dedicated Odyssey Day at the start of our school year, we provided students and teachers with a cool treat after a job well done completing projects all over our community. We hosted a Parent Coffee on both the Henderson and Trent campuses with a chance for introductions and a look at what the PTO does. Save the date for Falcon Fest coming up on Saturday, November 13th from 1-3pm on the Henderson campus. A $5 entrance fee gives you access to outdoor fun, carnival games, bouncy houses, and crafts. Refreshments will be available for cash purchase. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please reach out to pto@epiphanyglobalschool.org. Looking forward, we hope to host a reception for our alumni following the Lessons and Carols service in December. We will provide lunch for all students, faculty and staff in celebration of Feast of Epiphany in January. Please feel free to reach out at pto@epiphanyglobalschool.org if you want to hear more about volunteer opportunities or have questions. Thank you, Stephanie Brinson PTO President

A Message from our Director of Advancement Dear Epiphany Families,

It was sixteen years ago that Nicholas and Cathy Sparks brought together all the components of what became The Epiphany School of Global Studies. From day one we have provided a quality education, but maybe even more importantly we have provided a caring environment that has encouraged our students to “Love God and Your Neighbor as Yourself” and promoted the qualities of Respect, Responsibility, Service and Integrity. Great parents send great students to us, and we get to work with them in the process of becoming great neighbors, great citizens, and great family members. We are blessed to have this opportunity and this amazing responsibility. With this responsibility comes an opportunity we’d like to share with you. The cost of educating each student at Epiphany exceeds tuition. The school intentionally keeps tuition as low as possible in order to keep the school more affordable for a wider range of students and to provide community members with opportunities to support the school with tax-deductible, philanthropic commitments. We supplement funding for our educational and cocurricular programs each year with money generated from special gifts to the school and to the Epiphany Fund. This year we are running a 50 Days of Giving campaign that begins October 15 and will continue until December 3. It has been inspiring to see the many ways in which our staff and the entire TESGS community have embraced new challenges! We successfully reopened our school, designed new learning spaces, turned the gyms into classrooms, and faculty engaged to provide both in-person and virtual learning. The generosity and support of all members of our community has ensured that Epiphany is not just surviving, but thriving as we continue to fulfill our mission. We have seen families support us in amazing ways which enables us to continue being bold and innovative.

We understand that these past two years have been different in many ways. That being said, we appreciate your consideration of support. Your participation – in the form of a tax deductible gift – is very important. This is an opportunity to support every aspect of the school’s mission and provide Epiphany with the resources to enrich the learning environment of each student by helping fund faculty salaries, recruitment and professional development; technology; special programs; tuition assistance; arts and athletics; and facilities and maintenance. By donating before June 1, 2022, you provide Epiphany with the resources to continue to plan an enriching school year. You can take advantage of our website at www.epiphanyglobalschool.org/give and clicking on “Donate Now”. Your gift to the Epiphany Fund is an expression of your belief in the school’s mission and your commitment to support each student in uncovering their gifts for the journey. We thank you for thoughtfully considering a gift to the Epiphany Fund and, more importantly, for entrusting your children’s education to us each and every day. With Gratitude,

THE EPIPHANY FUND

Y

our contribution to the Epiphany Fund strengthens the value of an Epiphany education. These funds help bridge the gap between tuition revenues and the actual cost of providing a first-rate private school education. Epiphany depends upon this tradition of giving to enhance all of its programs and facilities, thus enriching the academic, creative, and ethical development of each student. The funds also serve to supplement teacher resources, expand the use of technology, and provide competitive compensation packages for faculty.

Every gift- no matter the amount -helps to ensure that the legacy of Epiphany will continue for years to come.

MAKING A GIFT Every contribution to Epiphany is vitally important to its continued growth and strength. Like those who helped grow the school in the past, each donor will be an integral part of the school’s history and future. An investment in Epiphany will be of benefit to generations of children- a legacy of which we can all be proud.
