Open Enrollment
Annual Open Enrollment meetings are held every year for benefits effective March 1st. Eligible employees may enroll in coverage if they failed to elect coverage, or elected to waive coverage at initial eligibility. Employees may also enroll their eligible dependents at this time. If you elect coverage, you may also cover eligible dependents, including:

Dependent children up to age 26 (coverage will terminate the last day of the month in which the child turns 26)
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, adult children enrolled in their parent’s medical plan may maintain their coverage until the age of 26, regardless of student status, employment or marital status.
Who Is Eligible
CJM offers employees a comprehensive and cost-effective benefits program. Employees are eligible for benefits the first of the month following two months of employment (working at least 30 hours per week).
Changing Coverage Mid-year Qualified Life/Employment Status Changes
It is very important to consider your choices carefully before you make your benefit elections. The benefits you choose will be in place from your eligibility date through the end of the plan year, unless you have a qualifying event during the year such as:
Marriage, divorce, or permanent separation
Birth or adoption of a child
Change in Medicare or Medicaid eligibility
Death of a spouse or child
Court ordered coverage
