Sundays, 10 to 3 May 11 - October 12, 2025

Welcome you to Astoria Sunday Market’s

25th Season

Tucked into the historic architecture of Downtown Astoria, with a beautiful view of the majestic Columbia River, Astoria Sunday Market brings together talented art, craft, farm, food and musical entrepreneurs from the region, creating a unique and joyful atmosphere and a fund shopping experience for everyone.

Mission

For over 20 years, Astoria Sunday Market has helped to revitalize historic downtown Astoria and to improve the economic viability and vitality of farmers, artists, artisans and other small business operators in the Pacific Northwest. The Market has created a vibrant educational marketplace for the community benefit.

The Astoria Sunday Market merged with the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association in 2021, and together they work to preserve and advance historic downtown Astoria’s culture and character through inspired partnerships and community engagement to support a vibrant and resilient economic future for all Astorians.

Growers & Makers Market

Astoria Sunday Market is a ‘Growers & Makers Market’ with a diversity of ever-changing farmers, producers, and artists who are inspired by the richness of our region. When you shop at the market, you are meeting the people who are making or growing the products. Ask them about it! They’ll be happy to share!

On the Cover

The Art

The artist was truly honored to have been selected to represent ASM’s 25th Anniversary. She has a deep appreciation for the talent, hard work, and dedication that the artisans, growers, and entrepreneurs bring to the market and for the exuberance of those who attend the event. Having introduced visiting friends to the market many times, Connie wanted to encapsulate that energy into her art and celebrate the market’s silver anniversary in a colorful, festive, all-encompassing way. Connie’s art gives a nod to showing up rain or shine, to the community spirit and diversity that makes the market strong, and to the vitality of Astoria in its beauty with white tents accenting and ascending the festivities’ energy from the Columbia River up the hill. So welcoming, and just so much...FUN!

The Artist

Connie Dillon

Art, in some form, has been prevalent Connie’s whole life, whether through drawing, painting, or photography. Connie paints at both my home studio and the ARTstoria Gallery studio, where she displays her work. Connie has been juried into several exhibits locally and across the country. 2023-2025 exhibit inclusions are: Hoffman Center For the Arts in Manzanita; Verum Ultimum Gallery in Portland; Arts Thrive Exhibition in Albuquerque, NM; Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, MT; Missoula Art Museum, Missoula, MT; Umpqua Valley Arts Biennial, Roseberg, OR; Sebastopol Center for the Arts, Sebastopol, CA; Circle Gallery @ Maryland Federation of Arts, Annapolis, MD; Spiva Center For the Arts, Joplin, MO; d’Art Center, Norfolk, VA; and she is excited for my upcoming October 2025 exhibit at Cannon Beach Arts Association Gallery. Her work has been collected internationally but it’s the western and PNW regions of the U.S. that remain close to my heart and its essence is captured in my paintings.

• We accept SNAP/EBT/DUFB /FDNP/WIC

• Our food vendors accept SNAP/EBT and we also have a Double-Up Food Bucks match.

• We match every SNAP dollar spent, up to $20, with DoubleUp Food Bucks that can be spent on fresh produce or produce-bearing plants.

• Visit the Market Information Booth to purchase SNAP tokens and receive your Double Up Food Bucks match.

Did you know?

…only $0.15 on the dollar goes to farmers when you buy food at a grocery store? Support your local farmers by shopping at the market, where they keep 100% of those dollars!

…customers at farmers markets have 15 to 20 social interactions compared one to two at a grocery store? Farmers markets are great for their communities. Visit your farmers market this week and chat with your neighbors.

…farmers market food is WAY fresher than food from traditional retailers? Farmers market fare averages half a day since harvest, compared to 13 days at a traditional retailer. That’s a delicious reason to support your local farmers market!

ASM KIDS CLUB

The ASM Kids Club runs from 11am to 2pm, Father’s Day through Labor Day! This fun program is free for local kids ages 5 to 12 who sign up! Each week, when participants check in, they receive two tokens, worth $1 each, to purchase fresh produce or produce bearing plants at the market.

In addition, we provide a fun and educational weekly activity. These activities are on-going so children can walk up and participate at any time, whether they are a club member or not. Examples of activities include food tastings, transplanting garden plants, market bingo, seed saving, scavenger hunts, local food-based art projects and more!

Bring your Littles to the ASM Kids Club!

BizKids is a collaborative project between ASM and Clatsop County 4-H that encourages youth to become entrepreneurs.

Market BizKids helps youth learn the basics of making, promoting and selling a product. During the season, participants will sell products they designed and produced in our special BizKids section of the market located in Heritage Square. Be sure to stop by, check out the awesome selection of goods, and shop with these young entrepreneurs!

MUSIC

Greg Parke

July 20

Greg Parke gives the term “one man band” a whole new meaning. Using custom built acoustic and electric MIDI guitars, sound modules and loopers, he is able to create an amazingly full sound that seems more like a whole stage full of musicians rather than just one person, all done in real time, with no pre-recorded backing tracks. Greg has also been known to throw in some keyboards, mandolin and banjo from time to time just to spice things up a bit. Combine that with his rich, captivating voice, a very spontaneous and entertaining sense of humor, and you are guaranteed a show that you won’t soon forget.

Sedona Fire July 13

The Sedona Fire Band is a 5-piece ensemble from the North Coast that plays a fusion of world, folk, rock and blues music. They are an eclectic group of musicians who have recorded two CD’s of original music together. To experience more, check out their website, www.sedonafiremusic.com

Short Leash:

Please keep your dog on a short leash and do not use retractable leashes.

No Doo-Doo Allowed:

Please be sure your dog has been thoroughly walked in an appropriate area before coming to the Market. If your dog has taken care of his business at home they are less likely to need relief at the Market. If it happens, Please PLEASE clean up after your dog. We have doggie-emergency cleaning kits at the Market Info Booth.

No “tinkling” on vendor products or tents! Please curb your dog. Some of our vendors charge dogowners a cleaning fee of $50 or more and the Market supports them in this endeavor.

Inquisitive Noses:

Dogs follow their noses, especially around food. We request that dogs and their noses be kept away from our food vendor booths. We suggest having a friend sit with the dog at one of the tables while you find your favorite food.

Not Everyone is Nuts About Mutts:

Please remember that not everyone loves dogs the way you do and some people may even be afraid of dogs – especially the large breeds. Please be respectful of others.

Our friendly and dedicated Physicians and Physician Assistants are available for all of your routine healthcare needs, not just for emergency situations!
