UNDERSTANDING PLAN SPECIFICS AND IMPACT TO MANAGERIAL DECISIONS

LEADERSHIP & EFFECTIVE TRAINING IN AN OWNERSHIP SETTING

Desired learning objectives: Learn how to review and find key data points in a summary plan document (SPD) through a sample plan document (attendees are welcome to bring a copy of theirs if desired, not to be shared, for learning and engagement) Locate specific details of the company's plan (e.g. plan participation rules, vesting, distribution rules, etc.)

Connect plan specifics with their impact on managerial decisions (e.g. hiring, entry dates, etc.)

Understand plan eligibility

Desired learning objectives: Determine how to apply individual learnings to a company setting Understand the unique aspects of leading in an employee ownership setting Learn how to drive engagement at an employeeowned company Use the “train the trainer” mentality to positively influence desired business and ESOP outcomes
