The Child Abuse Prevention Council of San Joaquin County (CAPC) is a place where families can turn in a time of crisis, a place where parents can learn to be better parents, children can heal from the wounds of abuse and neglect, and where families can improve their quality of life

CAPC protects children and strengthens families through awareness and outcome-driven programs delivered with compassion and designed to improve the protection and safety of our children The organization’s rich, evidence-based services include crisis/respite childcare, early childhood education, multi-faceted family intervention support program, a volunteer-based CASA (Court Appointed Volunteer Advocate) program, and school-based mental health services offered at various campuses throughout San Joaquin School districts

CAPC actively collaborates with various community stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to build a network of support to effectively prevent child abuse As a critical partner in San Joaquin County, CAPC advocates for policies and strategies that protect vulnerable children, build stronger communities, and promote lasting change in the lives of children and families
