“Thinking of you On Father’s Day”

Your strength reminds me of the mountains, your wisdom as of an eagle soaring above the storms, your courage as of a bear. As this is a day to honour you and recognize everything you do for us. Not enough words can express the love and appreciation for you.
Happy Father’s Day

Sending a Happy Father's Day shout out to Blaine Savard. The man who moves fire and earth for his family. It’s coming up to one year since the election has passed for Chief and Council.
Time always moves forward whether we are ready or not. Just as seasons bring change so does change in every aspect of our lives.

As Enoch Cree Nation continues to evolve with change, we are starting to see it in the land and buildings. A positive effect that reflects the care and time that each branch and each meeting that leadership holds to make this change. Setting an example to our

youth and next generations with every swipe of the paint whether a brush or spray. Our buildings are looking so much better, speaking volumes of honour, respect and care in details. As Spring Cleaning took place at two different times, seeing all that participated just shows how much we value our land and our homes.
From recollection from last year up to present and work still being done:
The new school, “maskêkosak kiskinomâtowikamik was already in place prior to elections.

Chief Enoch Recreational Centre.

Site Blessings
Elder Lorraine Makokis came and said prayers at the site; blessing involving a” Sod Turning Ceremony” for the “Arena Road Rebuild Project” on May 3rd, 2023 at 10:00am to 11am at the intersection of 231 Street and 70 Avenue.
Daycare had a garage built for storage.
The Old Foodbank Building was completely renovated inside.
Enoch Animal and Control building had been repainted
Interior Chief’s area moved to another part of the building and hallway repainted
The old water Pump House No. 1, was in need of a major facelift, it was painted and covered with an anti graffiti coating, thank you very much Infrastructure Team for the community improvement, It was a “needed facelift” to the older historical building.
The backroads are currently being worked on to be paved, as you will see in
the following maps. *See next pages of maps showing roads.”
New homes are being built.
Tentatively a Treatment Centre is another focus as the Premier came to Enoch and sat with Chief Cody Thomas and some of the Council members to sign an MOU for the funding to be in place of 33 million dollars.
A building in it’s final stages of being completed is located at River Cree Crossing across from River Cree Resort and Casino.
Keep Up The Great Work Enoch Cree Nation!

Community updates:

The Infrastructure Team just wanted to provide an update as per requested by Infrastructure leads Kyle Peacock and Jared Morin.
