The information in this brochure is based on our many years of experience and extensive surveys. However, since the conditions on the building site are beyond our control, we cannot be held responsible for the end result achieved. If in doubt, a trial is recommended before the work begins.
The most recently published product information and general information about the floor laying process can be found on www.englund-gruppen.se. Industry regulations, national standards and norms, as well as information from the relevant flooring manufacturer must also be taken into account.
PRIMERS AND MOISTURE BARRIERS
ECODUR® P 10
Solvent-free
A film forming, solvent-free adhesion primer with very low emissions for use on substrates such as concrete, lightweight concrete, screeds, floor planks, chipboards, cement- and gypsum based plasters. For interior walls and floors.
Pretreatment
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, free from water-soluble adhesive residues and other substances that may impair the adhesion.
Application
Ensure that the primer is at room temperature. Shake and pour the contents of the can into a clean bucket. Dilute with clean, cold water using the mixing ratio specified in the table. Apply the primer evenly across the surface using a roller or brush. Avoid puddle formation. Allow the primer to dry before further work. After use, immediately clean your tools with water.
Optimum application temperature is 1025°C. High temperature and low humidity
shortens the drying time, whilst the reverse is true in low temperature and high humidity environments.
Moisture
The product has normal resistance to moisture and is not suitable for use on all floor types. Therefore, it is of outmost importance that the residual moisture content of the concrete subfloor is measured, ideally by an certified moisture controller, and documented to ensure that the covering is not applied to a substrate with too high moisture content.
When laying PVC and diffusion-tight textile floor coverings, a maximum of 85 % RH applies and for diffusion-open linoleum and textile floor coverings, a maximum of 90 %.
In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of an ECODUR® moisture barrier system. Contact us for a consultation. The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• Subsequent levelling work must start no later than 72 hours after ECODUR® P 10 has been applied.
• Never use ECODUR® P 10 as an adhesion primer directly under parquet and hardwood floor adhesive.

ECODUR® P 19
Moisture barrier primer
Water
Chemical-resistant
A film forming 1-K PUR primer for use on concrete, screeds, self levelling compounds, chipboards, etc. Can be used as an adhesion primer before adhere parquet and hardwood floors with ECODUR® S 90 New - or as a moisture barrier against residual moisture in concrete floors with maximum 98% RH.
For interior and exterior use.
Pretreatment
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, surface-dry, clean, free from adhesive residues and other substances that may impair the adhesion. Sealed and glossy surfaces must always be sanded using a grinding machine and fine sandpaper.
Application
The product can be applied in a single layer as an adhesion primer prior to adhere parquet and hardwood floors - or in two or three layers as a moisture barrier before levelling and adhering of parquet and hardwood floors.
The primer must be at room temperature. Shake the packaging well, pour the content
of the can into a clean bucket, and apply the product evenly and crosswise between the layers using a short bristle, lint-free roller.
Material use approx. 100–350 g/m2, depending on the number of layers applied. Check material use every now and again. Avoid puddle formation.
Drying time between layers is approx. 40-50 minutes, and approximately 2 hours after the last layer has dried, parquet and hardwood floors can be adhered using ECODUR® S 90 New. Used tools such as roller sleeves, brushes, etc. must be discarded and hardened material can only be removed mechanically. Ideal laying temperature is 15-25°C.
ECODUR® P 19 can also be used as a moisture barrier under self levelling compounds and, in such cases, must be primed using ECODUR® P 11 adhesive primer, alternatively directly after application of the last layer sprinkled with washed sea sand in fraction 0.4-0.8 mm. When the surface is completely dry, excess sand is vacuumed up.
Moisture
The product is suitable to use as a barrier against residual moisture, provided that residual moisture content does not exceed 98 % RH. Always contact us for consultation if the substrate is exposed to rising ground moisture.
Please observe!
• For professional use only! As of August 24, 2023, appropriate training is required before industrial or professional use.
• Drying time between layers may not exceed 72 hours.
• ECODUR® P 19 must not be applied too thickly as this will make the product brittle and increse the curing time dramatically.
Consumption
In one layer as an adhesion primer approx. 100-150 g/m2
In two layers as a moisture barrier on cement-based substrates with a residual moisture of up to 95 % approx. 200–250 g/m2

SELF LEVELLING COMPOUNDS
ECODUR® E 31 New
Cross-over self levelling compound
0-20 mm thickness
Benefits of both gypsum and cement
Very low shrinkage
A fast-curing crossover levelling compound with very low shrinkage that combines the benefits of gypsum and cement. For use on concrete, lightweight concrete, cementbased screed, prefabricated concrete elements, gypsum based substrates, glued and screwed chipboards, even if these are porous or have residues of asphalt and tar glue, prior to laying of PVC, linoleum, textile floor coverings, or ceramic tiles, as well as fully adhered parquet and hardwood floors.
For application on other types of substrate, we always recommend consulting us for technical support. Suitable for use in residential areas, offices, and light industrial premises. For interior floors.
Subfloor preparation
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, be free from adhesive residues and other substances that may affect adhesion. Prior to levelling always use a suitable ECODUR® adhesion primer.
Mixing
Pour clean, cold water into a mixing bucket, add the powder, and mix mechanically until the compound is lumpfree and homogeneous. In layers with a thickness in excess
of 10 mm, 25 kg of ECODUR® E 31 New can be supplemented with 12.5 kg of washed quartz sand with a grain size of 0.8-1.2 mm.
Application
Only mix as much material that can be applied within the working time. ECODUR® E 31 New can be applied by hand or be pumped. Newly applied material must be protected against frost, drafts, and sunlight. Excessively fast drying may cause cracking, deformation, or impaired surface durability.
Moisture
This product is low alkali, has fast strength development, and binds the greater part of its mixing water eventually, meaning that the floor coverings can be laid quickly. However, it is vital that the amount of residual moisture in the concrete subfloor is measured and documented so that the levelling compound and subsequent covering is not installed on a substrate that is too damp. When laying PVC and diffusion-tight textile floor coverings, a maximum of 85 % RH applies and for diffusion-open linoleum and textile floor coverings, a maximum of 90 %. In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of an ECODUR® moisture
barrier system. Contact us for a consultation. The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• The product can be used as a migration barrier when applied in minimum 5 mm.
• Always use a measuring bucket to ensure that the right amount of water is added.
• Priming is required before leveling with cement-based products.
• Application of more than one layer: If an additional layer is to be applied on the same day, when the underlying surface is still dark, the surface must be scraped, vacu-
umed, and the second layer worked into the surface. The second layer must always be thinner than the first. Where an additional layer is to be applied once the underlying layer has dried and lightened, the surface must be sanded, vaccuumed, and primed using ECODUR® P 12, primer, which must be allowed to dry before the second layer is applied. The second layer must always be thinner than the first.
• Always use an expansion strip along walls where the thickness of layers exceeds 5 mm.

REPAIR- AND PATCHING MATERIALS
ECODUR® E 52
Cement-based repair mortar - fine
Easy to use
Can be covered after approx. 2 hours
Very smooth surface
A fine-aggregated cement-based repair mortar for use on concrete, screeds, and permanently installed chipboards, prior to laying of PVC, linoleum, textile, or ceramic tiles.
For application on other types of substrate, we always recommend consulting us for technical support. Suitable for interior floors in residential areas. Also see section Please observe!
In layers with a thickness in excess of 30 mm, 15 kg of ECODUR® E 52 can be supplemented with 7.5 kg of washed quartz sand with a grain size of 0.8-1.2 mm.
Application
Only mix as much material that can be
applied within the working time. Apply the product in a suitable layer thickness, allow the material to set for approx. 5 minutes and then gently smooth the surface using a spatula.
In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of an ECODUR® moisture barrier system. Contact us for a consultation. The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• Chipboards must be at least 22 mm thick, glued and screwed to the beams with a max. c/c distance of 600 mm. The floor surface must be primed with ECODUR® P 11. Before levelling, the floor must be reinforced with steel or fibreglass PZG reinforcement. Use expansion strips along all walls.
• Always use a measuring bucket to ensure that the right amount of water is added.
• Application of more than one layer: If an additional layer is to be applied on the same day, when the underlying surface is still dark, the surface must be scraped, vaccuumed, and the second layer worked into the
surface.
• If ECODUR® E 52 is applied in smaller local areas and in layer thickness of at least 10 mm, it can be used in public areas with normal wear and under fully adhered parquet, rubber, chlorine-free, or polyolefin coverings. In doubt, contact us for a consultation.

ADHESIVES
ECODUR® S 80
Universal dispersion adhesive
Excellent tack
Long working time
Can be re-activated
A solvent-free dispersion adhesive with very low emissions for homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC and CV coverings, linoleum up to 2.0 mm in residential areas, and textile floor coverings with PVC backing.
Suitable for use on levelled, even, absorbent and non absorbent substrates. Suitable for interior floors and walls.
Subfloor preparation
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, free from adhesive residues and other substances that may impair the adhesion. Uneven substrates should be primed with the suitable ECODUR® primer and levelled with the appropriate ECODUR® levelling compound.
Application
Apply the adhesive evenly on the substrate using a trowel with a recommended notched blade adapted to the substrate in question and the covering used. Apply only as much adhesive that can be covered within the working time. Put the covering in place and rub down firmly. Edges, ends, and
parts that do not lie flat must be pressed down again after approx. 10-20 minutes. If necessary, repeat this process. Then use a pressure roller crosswise over the entire surface. Clean tools with water immediately after completing work.
The ideal laying temperature is 15-25°C, and ideal moisture is between 50 % and 65 % RH/20°C.
Moisture
It is vital that the amount of residual moisture in the concrete subfloor is measured and documented so that the covering is not installed on a substrate that is too damp.
• In order to enable adhesive applied to non absorbent substrates to dry faster, the “double drop” method may be used. With this method, the adhesive is applied to the subfloor using an A5 or A1 notched blade. The covering is then laid directly into the adhesive, pressed down securely, and then immediately pulled back up. Once both sides have dried, re-lay the covering and rub down firmly.
• Joints may be welded no sooner than after approx. 24 hours.
• These recommendations are adhesive recommendations only and do not exempt the user from following the installation instructions provided by the flooring manufacturer.

Subfloor preparation
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, free from adhesive residues and other substances that may impair the adhesion. Uneven substrates should be primed with the suitable ECODUR® primer and self levelling compound ECODUR® E 31 alternatively E 33 or equivalent.
Application
Apply the adhesive to the substrate using a trowel with the recommended notched blade.(see table). Put the parquet into the adhesive, push and then use a pressure roller in order to achieve full overwetting of the adhesive between the substrate and the parquet/hardwood floor. Load with weights if necessary. Also follow the parquet manufacturer's instructions.
Moisture
It is vital that the amount of residual mois
ture in the concrete subfloor is measured, so that the parquet is not installed on a substrate that is too damp. For parquet and hardwood floors adhered with ECODUR® S 90 New a maximum of 65 % RH applies. In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of moisture barrier ECODUR® P 19.
If the subfloor is exposed to additional ground moisture, always contact us for a consultation.
The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• Never use a conventional water-based primer as an adhesion primer directly below parquet and hardwood floor adhesive. If you have any questions, please contact us for technical advice.
• Subfloors with underfloor heating should always be primed with moisture barrier ECODUR® P 19.

ECODUR® S 20
Tackifier
Fast drying
High tack
Roller-adapted bucket
A solvent-free tackifier with very low emissions designed to fixate carpet tiles and certain types of textile floor covering in sheets.
Suitable for use on levelled, even, absorbent substrates. Suitable for interior floors.
In cases where an existing covering is used as an underlay, it must be stable and free from floor care products and other substances that may impair the adhesion.
Application
Apply ECODUR® S 20 evenly using a suitable roller. Allow the adhesive to dry until it becomes transparent before laying, otherwise it produces permanent adhesion. The covering must then be laid and pressed securely into position.
The ideal laying temperature is 18-23°C, and ideal moisture is between 20 % and 70 % RH/20°C.
Moisture
It is vital that the amount of residual moisture in the concrete subfloor is measured and documented so that the covering is not installed on a substrate that is too damp. When laying diffusion-tight textile floor coverings, a maximum of 85 % RH applies and for diffusion-open textile floor coverings, a maximum of 90 %.
In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of an ECODUR® moisture barrier system. Contact us for a consultation. The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• Do not apply the tackifier in a layer that is thicker than necessary as this may, in certain circumstances, result in excessive adhesion.
• Priming using ECODUR® P 10 will reduce consumption and extend working time.
• Remember, the laid covering must be completely tension-free, as the tackifier will not keep the covering flat.
• ECODUR® S 20 is not water-soluble and therefore cannot be washed off the floor surface once it has dried.
• These recommendations are adhesive recommendations only and do not exempt the user from following the installation instructions provided by the flooring manufacturer.
ECODUR® S 20 has been assessed by Byggvarubedömningen and is registered in BASTA.
Pack size: 10 kg bucket
Colour: White, turns transparent as it dries.
Consumption: 50-200 g/m2 depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the desired adhesion effect.
Working temperature: Minimum 18°C to 23°C
Humidity: 20-70 % RH.
Working time: 60–180 minutes, depending on the substrate’s absorption capacity, temperature, and relative humidity.
Cleaning: Tackifier that has not dried can be washed off with water. Use an adhesive cleaner as Casco LimTvätt or similar to remove half or fully dried tackifier.
Underfloor heating: Suitable
Resistance to castor wheels: Suitable
Storage: At least 12 months from the date of manufacture if stored in unopened packaging in a dry and cool environment, not below 0°C.

ECODUR® EasyTac LG
Adhesive tapes for base coves
Installation without pre-airing time
Extra heavy tack - for lino and rubber
Clean installation
A special tape that has been especially developed for quick, clean, and solvent-free installation of linoleum and rubber base coves.
Suitable for use on even surfaces such as masonry, smooth plaster, paint, metal, gypsum, wood, concrete, and ceramic. Suitable for interior use only.
Subfloor preparation
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, free from silicon and all other substances that may impair the adhesion.
Dusty and absorbent substrates must always be pretreated with the appropriate ECODUR® primer. Wallpapers etc. must be firmly secured. Any loose wallpaper etc must be cut at the appropriate height so that the base coves overlaps. The backing of the base cove must be clean and free from dust.
Installation of the base coves
The following is required: ECODUR® EasyTac LG, carpet knife, stair pressing tool, rubbing board, and heat gun.
1. Place the adhesive tape on the silicone paper.
2. Apply the adhesive tape on the wall approx. 2-3 mm above the floor and press securely. Ideally, mark the top edge of the base cove to make it easier to locate the height of the product.

ECODUR® K 30
Impact sound-reducing underlay
Highly elastic
Easy to cut and easy to install
Thermal insulation
An elastic impact sound-reducing underlay made from polyurethane and cork. Suitable for use under PVC,CV, rubber, textile floor coverings, and linoleum, as well as different types of LVT, parquet and hardwood floors.
Can be used on absorbent or non-absorbent substrates. Suitable for interior use only.
Subfloor preparation
The substrate must be load-bearing, durable, completely dry, clean, free from adhesive residues and other substances that may impair the adhesion. Uneven substrates should be primed with the suitable ECODUR® primer and levelled with the appropriate ECODUR® levelling compound.
Installation under PVC, CV, rubber, textile floor coverings, LVT, and linoleum
The product is to be laid, cut and placed edge to edge. Both ECODUR® K 30 and the floor covering must be laid in the same direction, but with displaced joints (min 10 cm).
A gap of a few mm should be left in connection with walls, doors, and pipes, etc.
Fold the sheets back in half, apply the adhesive (same adhesive for both floor covering and underlay) on the floor using a trowel with the recommended notched blade. Place the underlay into the adhesive bed and press firmly in position. Repeat the procedure on the other half of the sheets. Edges and ends, as well as any parts that do not lie flat, must be pressed down again after approx. 10-20 mins.
The floor covering may only be installed after 24-48 hours.
Installation under fully adhered parquet
The product is to be laid, cut and placed edge to edge. A gap of a few mm should be left in connection with walls, doors, and pipes, etc.
Fold the sheets back in half, apply the adhesive (same adhesive for both floor covering and underlay) on the floor using a trowel equipped with a B2 notched blade. Place the underlay into the adhesive bed and press firmly in position. Repeat the proce -
dure on the other half of the sheets. Edges and ends, as well as any parts that do not lie flat, must be pressed down again after approx. 10-20 mins.
The parquet may only be adhered after 24-48 hours. Choose the notched blade depending of the type of parquet. Both ECODUR® K 30 and the subsequent parquet must be adhered using ECODUR® S 90 New.
Installation under floating parquet
The product is to be laid, cut and placed edge to edge. A gap of a few mm should be left in connection with walls, doors, and pipes, etc. If the parquet is to be laid in floating construction, it is not necessary to adhere ECODUR® K 30 to the substrate. ECODUR® K 30 is not a damp proof membrane. If this is required please first lay a 0.20 mm ageing-resistant foil. The ideal laying temperature is 15-25°C, and ideal relative humidity is between 50 % and 65 %.
Moisture
It is vital that the amount of residual moisture in the concrete substrate is measured and documented so that ECODUR K 30 is not installed on a substrate that is too damp. The product itself can withstand a maximum of 85 %, and 65 % RH applies when parquet and hardwood floors are adhered on top. In cases where the moisture content of the substrate exceeds these values, we recommend application of an ECODUR® moisture barrier system. Contact us for a consultation. The moisture content in chipboards should be between 8-12 %.
Please observe!
• When installing parquet and hardwood floors without tongue and groove, e.g. Industrial, mosaic, base parquet, etc., use ECODUR® K 30 2 mm!
• Prior to installing coverings sensitive to indentation, the surface of the underlay must be further reinforced. Contact us for a consultation.
ECODUR® K 30 has been assessed by Byggvarubedömningen, Sunda Hus Material Data, and is registered in BASTA.

LARGER PROJECTS? WE CAN ASSIST YOU.
We have both the expertise and the equipment to help you with your pumping projects. For more than 20 years, we’ve been helping customers with pumping of self levelling compounds.
1000 m2 layed in just over an hour
Our latest pump is equipped with a 40 metre long hose and has a capacity of 4.5 tons an hour, which means that a job of approx. 1,000 m2 in a layer thickness of 3 mm will not take more than one hour to complete.
Most ECODUR® products have good flow capacity, fast curing, and a smooth surface finish - the perfect substrate on which to lay a floor.
Our pump specialists will help you
Give us a call. If in doubt wether your substrate is suitable or not, we’ll perform an onsite inspection first.
