Example 1(b): Design slab, beams, girder, columns and footings of a 90′ × 60′ Hall. Minimum obstruction to mobility inside the Hall requires that only two columns can be allowed inside the Hall. Height of the hall is 20′. Concrete compressive strength (fc′) = 3 ksi. Steel yield strength (fy) = 40 ksi.
