T
he ethos at Kilminorth Cottages is very much centred on ‘everyone welcome’ – something of a motto for owner Jayne and the team. Occupying 32 acres of Cornish countryside, with all properties having been lovingly renovated to offer the perfect blend of contemporary luxury and easy, open-plan living, it’s something of a sanctuary for weary guests hoping to escape the stresses of daily life. It’s also a fabulous place for dogs to sniff, bound and roll their way around the countryside, with a beautiful mix of landscaped and large, formal gardens, meadows, rivers and woodland, not to mention the fact that it lies just moments from the South West Coast Path. Bodmin Moor is mere moments away as well, which itself is an adventurer’s paradise with seemingly endless miles of moorland on which to play fetch. If you feel like relinquishing the car keys for the duration of your stay, no problem – as well as the abundance of dog friendly pubs in the area, you’ll also find dog friendly taxis available, so no need to worry about being the designated driver. Back to the resort and Kilminorth has its own dedicated wal ing fields, ideal for letting them off the lead and throwing a ball.
For little ones on two legs, there are plenty of facilities on site to keep them entertained, including a tennis court and a heated outdoor pool – especially nice to know on days where you don’t fancy stepping far from the comforts of your cottage.
