Ligia Olivieri was born in Caracas, Capital District, on February 5, 1936. Daughter of Colonel Benjamin Olivieri and Doña Amparo Olmos de Olivieri, between 1950 and 1954 she studied at the School of Plastic Arts and Applied Arts of Caracas where she studied painting and It specializes in stained glass. During these years participates in group exhibitions and in salons, being recognized among the best young people of the moment, between the years 1958-1960 is assistant professor of Drawing in the Faculty of Architecture of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). Creates poetry illustrations of authors such as Rafael Cadenas, Alberto Arvelo, Jesus Sanoja, Alberto Leon among others, diagrams and illustrates the magazine Round Table, makes the covers of four albums of the Quintet Contrapunto as well as the programs and posters of their concerts, becoming the sketches of its stained glass in the image of this musical group. In 1967 he participated with the artists Alejandro Otero, Mercedes Pardo and Pedro Sosa, in the team that made the Exterior Development project of the Caracas Image Show. Designed polychromies for facades of buildings and singlefamily homes of Banco Obrero. (1975) Assistant Professor of the Expression I workshop of the Faculty of Architecture of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), (1982) makes four windows for the Hotel Casacoima de Puerto Píritu, edo. Anzoátegui. Among his exhibitions we have: (1955) Second Salon of Young Painters of the Association of Journalists of Venezuela; (1956) Arturo Michelena Hall, Valencia; Monagas Official Show, Maturín; Julio I Arts Barquisimeto Hall; (1957) Exhibition at the Ateneo de Caracas with Manuel Espinoza and Enrique Benitez; (1966) Exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts of Caracas; (1988) Exhibition Through the Looking Glass, Gallery of Warm Spaces. In 1967, his creative work is recognized with the highest distinction granted by the Venezuelan State the National Culture Award for Applied Arts.
