Toccara is originally from Elizabethtown NC, and a graduate of North Carolina A&T state University. Toccara is the owner of A Touch of Joy Events which is a full service event planning and decorating company. She started this company based on her passion and love for designing and creating themed events. She has been doing events over 10 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the industry. Toccara has been asked to travel out of the country to do weddings and events for her clients. She is known for her custom items and creative themed events. She is very outgoing and loves to push the envelope. Her events are classy, elegant and over the top but most importantly, memorable for her clients and guests. She ensures her clients are satisfied. Her mission is to add a Touch of Joy, a little Bling, and a lot of Class to her events. Toccara also has a Financial services business that she shares and partners with her husband. They help people make money, save money, and get out of debt. They teach financial concepts to help you reach financial freedom and independence. Tonya M. Cowan, aka Ms. Positivi-T is the Owner of Ms. Positivi-T LLC, a marketing and eCommerce business. Her purpose is to Empower, Inspire, and Uplift people by spreading positivity. Under her Ms. Positivi-T brand, she offers As You Wish websites|engagement|marketing established in 2018, where she provides marketing services to small business owners and entrepreneurs, and AdorAble Designz, an empowering apparel company established in 2020 that offers shirt, accessory and home goods design to inspire women.

Tonya is also the Founder and Director of Designed With A Purpose CFS (aka DWAP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in 2018, that empowers young ladies and women in the community to promote sisterhood.

Each year since 2018, Tonya hosts a women empowerment event under her Designed With A Purpose CFS (which stands for Courage, Faith and Strength) nonprofit organization every 3rd Saturday in October. The goal of the event is to celebrate and encourage women from all walks of life. The event brings a different topic each year with speakers and/or a panel, as well as games, prizes and vendors. Tonya is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education, a mother of two daughters, and a bonus mom to one son. With over 20 years in marketing, her services have one thing in common, “inspiration” and her motto is “If I've touched one person, I've done my job”. Tonya enjoys collaborating and is always looking for ways to collaborate with other women in the community.
