Mole Removal for Cosmetic Appeal A mole is very different from a wart, so don’t get them confused. Just like a wart a mole is also a skin growth, but a mole is when the cells on that spot produces pigment. Pigment is what makes your skin change color when you tan. Moles can appear on any body parts, any place on the skin. Moles can grow in groups or one at a spot. In the first 20 years of a person’s life, it is typically not very common but you may get a few of these moles. Moles are mostly a brown color but there is a times that they may be another color. Other colors may be black, fresh-colored or blue. Moles do not hurt or cannot truly harm you. They generally do not cause any pain but they can if they are bumped or rubbed too much.

Skin Tags Skin tags are also a skin growth. Skin tags is like a wart but not completely, they also protrude out of the skin but are usually tiny pieces of skin that is attached to a little stem to your skin. Skin tags are mostly found under the armpits, upper trunk, neck or any other body-fold. Scientists and doctors still do not know what causes these skin tags. But you don’t need to worry because they cannot cause any harm.

Do they need to be removed? Nether moles nor skin tags really need any treatment. Mostly, the only reason they are removed is because people don’t want it the on their skin thus, for cosmetic reasons. Another reason that skin tags are remove is that they could cause some discomfort when they rub against jewelry or clothes. If a mole is a different color than normal or the others on your skin, you must make sure to see your doctor about is. If your mole is growing bigger and bigger also make sure to see a doctor as soon as possible as a mole can become cancerous. Your doctor will do a biopsy of the mole. This means your doctor will remove the mole or a piece of it to send for test to see if it has cancer cells.

Different removal options Your doctor will give you advice and the best solution to remove them. There is three different ways that moles and skin tags can be removed. The doctor will look at your skin tags or moles to see which way will do the best job. Here are the three ways: 1. Cutting the skin tag or mole off. Your doctor will use his or her scalpel or a surgical scissor to cut of skin tags. There are some moles that can be shave off of the skin, yet, not all can.
