Student’s evaluation
If we take a closer look at our students’ results in this project, we can clearly see that most of them were highly satisfied (34.6%) or very satisfied (32.7%) in how they participated in this eTwinning project. 25% of them were satisfied and the rest of them numbered their participation between 1-2 (7.7%). This is a great achievement, because it shows students’ willingness to learn and improve.
As for the second question, students were asked how they evaluated the participation of their team members, since teamwork is an essential part of this project. The results also show they were highly satisfied (17.3%) or the majority of them, very satisfied (53.8%), while 28.8% numbered their partners’ participation between 1-3.
The third question referred if students were happy with the school resources and we found similar numbers to the previous questions, with 19.2% of the students showing they were highly satisfied and 44.2% very satisfied. 36.6% were not very satisfied and they rated it from 2-3. This shows that more resources should be given to improve the schools’ connectivity. In our case, students were provided with computers, but the wifi system did not work at times correctly. This is an important aspect that our IT technicians are working on in order to provide better quality standards for working.
As for the fourth question, students were asked to rank the communication and collaboration between their partner peers. Most of them were highly or very satisfied with it (67.3%) whereas the rest (32.6%) thought their communication skills needed to be improved.
In the fifth question, we asked students if they were happy in how we presented and planned the activities. Here the percentage is very similar to the above question. While a total of 67.3% of students rated it highly or very satisfied, the other 32.6% rated it 1-3. This is a good result for us, because it shows there was good coordination and the activities were well presented.
As for the open question of which activity you enjoyed the most, yoga seems to be the most successful in all its forms: the majority of them found the yoga activity fun (13.5%), or the guided yoga class (7.7%) followed by the trip to the Auschwitz Birkenau camp during the mobility (5.8%).
As for the activities they liked the least, some of them mentioned the second one (school video 9.6%), the food pyramid (3.8%), but there were 3.8% of students who answered they liked all the activities, which is very positive.
As for the eighth question, the best part of this project is mostly improving the level of English (71.2%), having the opportunity to travel to another country (53.8%) and becoming more open minded towards other cultures obtained the same result as improving several skills apart from English (32.7%). Working as part of a team obtained the lowest result 26.9% of votes. Finally, the overall satisfaction with the project was quite high, with 71.1% of students rating it between highly satisfied and very satisfied.
Teacher's evaluation
If we take a closer look at the teachers’ results, we will find highly and very satisfied teachers rating it with a 5 (66.7%) and 4 (33.3%). This was crucial to develop a successful project.
If we analyze how we see the participation and engagement of our students in the project we see that we are highly satisfied (33.3%), very satisfied (33.3%) and satisfied (33.3%), which is quite remarkable because this goes in line with our students’ results.
As for the results of resources in our school, our answers are quite similar to those of our students’ showing 66.7% of very satisfied teachers and 33.3% of highly satisfied teachers, which also demonstrates that the perception of students and teachers is quite similar.
Communication amongst teachers was also highly rated, 66.7% of highly satisfied teachers and 33.3% of satisfied teachers.
The coordination and development of the project obtained a good result of 66.7% of highly satisfied teachers and 33.3% of satisfied teachers. Therefore, this shows we are in the correct place and the tasks were done accordingly.
When we take into account the personal opinions on the best activity for the project it seems that 2 teachers enjoyed cooking a healthy breakfast and one thinks the most enjoyable activity was the yoga class, which would be similar to the students’ answers .
If we take into account the activities that needed more time or planning, maybe we needed more time to exchange and plan the yoga class. We saw that students truly enjoyed it and it would have been better for their own benefit to expand it a few more lessons.
We also agree, like our students, that the most important part of these types of projects is the chance of traveling and becoming more open minded (100%), improving English, working as part of a team and also improving several skills at the same time all obtained (66.7%). Finally, all teachers were highly satisfied (66.7%) with the project outcome or very satisfied (33.3%).
