HOME This is the original home screen of the Cartwheel app. It is better to keep this screen consistent just to promote familiarity of the original app.



LOGIN This is the original log in screen of the Cartwheel app. Similarly to the home screen, It is better to keep this screen consistent just to promote familiarity of the original app.



WELCOME SCREEN When the user walks into a Target store, there will be a push notification that welcomes the customer. Upon opening the app, it will display the location of the Target as well as the special savings offered in that store on that day that the user might be interested in. Bullseye will jump from the displayed location and into the spot on the menu bar below. The purpose of this new design is to showcase 3D Bullseye, and to display the suggested items on sale for the specific user.



BULLSEYE Throughout the customer’s trip in Target, they will be led by Bullseye, previously known as Spot, to the various coupons in each department. Bullseye acts as the guide for the augmented reality portion of this update. Bullseye will be running, jumping, and looking back to make sure the customer is following him.



BARCODE Bullseye will lead the customers to these mini tags found under the already existing Cartwheel advertisements. Once this tag is found, users can scan it with the AR and the suggested discount and REDcoins will be added to their REDwallet. These labels will be reprinted and placed in different sections of each department every two weeks.



BARCODE In the trial period, these barcodes will be placed throughout the Apparel and Accessories department to bring more awareness to the special products sold.



REDWALLET Previously, this menu option was called “My List” where it accumulates all the coupons selected under the “Offers” tab. This section will remain the same, and it will also include the coupons scanned from the store labels.



REDWALLET Light blue Cartwheel Barcodes will be placed in the departments, and they will give customers REDcoins. Once users accumulate an x amount of REDcoins, they may redeem the coins for x amount of discount. However, redeeming these REDcoin discounts cannot be applied with other giftcards etc. as stated in the Terms and Conditions. These REDcoins can be redeemed in the gacha machine, and they can also be purchased using microtransactions within other areas of this app.



GACHA MACHINE This gacha machine incorporates a playful aspect to this Cartwheel update. In order to play, users must collect x amount of REDcoins to play for normal prizes and premier prizes. These prizes range from discounts or exclusive news to overal purchase discounts or giftcards to Target. This machine also encourages people to play for REDcoins or potentially encourages people to purchase more from using the in-app microtransactions in this new update.



DAILY RED If a customer consecutively logs into Cartwheel for x amount of days, there will be a display of points and special offers for that week. In this screen, this week’s offers include an accumulation of REDcoins. REDcoins can be redeemed through discounts or the prize Gacha machine.
