When choosing a location, it is important to consider the following things:
-The time of day your session will take place If your session is during golden hour, then a wide-open location would be best to capture all that golden light If your session is during a time of day that the lighting is harsh it would be best to stick to a location with lots of shade
-The scenery that suits your session best (what feel do you want your session to have) Are you wanting open fields, long grasses, creeks, urban, etc
-The ages of your kiddos A location with lots of rocks and easy places to jump or fall and get hurt might not be the best option for toddlers while a location with lots of room for them to run would be a great spot! C H O O S I N G A

At this location, I will always meet you in the small parking lot that is immediately to the right when you pull into the park The weekends can get busy, so if your session falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, allow for some extra time
THINGS TO NOTE
This location is large It offers a variety of different backdrops and has lots of open space. Perfect for kiddos who have to run

BEST SEASON
There is no entrance fee for this location. This location is beautiful all year round but my personal favorites are Fall and Spring. In the Fall, the grasses are tall and flowy and catch the golden hour light beautifully. In the Spring, the field blooms wild flowers!! It is a very popular location for bluebonnet photos

PARKING THINGS TO NOTE
This location has multiple parking lots and is a very large park. If we shoot at this location, follow the signs that lead you to "The Meadow"
BEST SEASON
Summer is the best season for this location A small river runs through and it's great for water play!
ENTRANCE FEE
$2 per person for residents of Georgetown and $4 per person for non residents
This park is huge!! There is a river and a meadow area which are ideal for photos! The walk to get to the river takes about 5-7 minutes and there are a few hills to navigate along the way. I love this location for families because there is so much space and so many things for us to do!
PARKING
There are three different parking lots at this location. Unfortunately, it can get a bit chaotic, but I have found that late evening is the best time to avoid the traffic
THINGS TO NOTE
This location has several beautiful backdrops!!! I highly recommend this location for maternity, couples, or solo portraits! I also love this location for families with kiddos 5+ There is a creek that runs through and lots of rocky terrain, so it definitely isn't the easiest to navigate with small kiddos

Winter and early spring are the only times I do not shoot at this location The reason being that rain fall can lead to a very fast creek flow that can be dangerous for littles

Lots of parking available!! If this is the location of our shoot, you will park all the way at the end of the paved road in front of or near the small barn

This location is best suited for either a one hour or an hour and a half shoot There is a bit of a walk to get to some portions of the location. Lots of tall grasses and the sunsets beautifully here

My favorite time to shoot here is late Spring early Summer, but Fall is also beautiful here.

This is one of my favorite locations to shoot at!! The diverse scenery and overall uniqueness of this location is just beautiful!!
