De même le Getty Center a le plus gros budget d’acquisitions des musées du monde et collectionne les archives de notre temps. C’est ici aussi que Kenichi Ohmae, l’inventeur du mot « globalisation » ouvre à UCLA son école supérieure d’études de ces phénomènes actuels. Aucune ville n’est aussi bien documentée sur elle-même. Tout y est répertorié, trié, enregistré, filmé, fliqué… et rien n’est entièrement hasardeux.
