A healthcare system in Baltimore, Maryland, will be constructing a new women’s health clinic within a multistory medical office building. The clinic focuses on preventative care and sees patients by appointment only. Some of the services the clinic provides include wellness visits, annual physicals, screenings for illness, and other reproductive care. The design should promote and allow physicians to increase efficiency and create a seamless patient. experience through architecture and thoughtful design. A spa-like feel and amenities seen in hospitality are instrumental in creating a sense of “homefulness” and well being The clinic should be flexible and

The Muscogee Creek Nation is just recently being recognized as an important, civilized tribe. The concept of “Freedom” will root from the nationals struggles and disruption, while expressing how the tribe was relinquished and is now being brought to importance. Freedom has been historically shown through free flowing and organic elements. The people experiencing the museum will feel the welcomeness, importance, relationship, community, and ultimate freedom of the Creek nation. These design elements express and emphasize the importance of the historical artifacts and community of the Creek’s history.

Through community engagement, programming, historical recognition, and economic opportunities, the new L'ouverture High School building will honor the stories of its past while welcoming the leaders of its future.

Named in honor of the Haitian revolution general François-Dominique Toussaint L'Ouverture, our design aims to represent the historical importance of the building's name through the use of color, line, shape, and form found in Haitian art and its connection to cubism and the Art Deco movement.

MATERIALITY

The Jewel is a striking piece of furniture art, crafted from premium plywood and fully upholstered for a seamless, dimensional look. Its abstract design features interlocking shapes that flow together to create bold, dramatic contours.

The Jewel is wrapped in performance-quality upholstery, offered in a range of opulent, jewel-toned hues. The carefully placed seams along the edges provide a defined contour, creating a faceted appearance reminiscent of a finely cut gem.

The Loggerhead Sea Turtle is one of the more common species off the coast of Baltimore in Chesapeake Bay. The Loggerhead turtle is a vital part of many ecosystems, making it necessary to keep this endangered species safe for the future of wildlife, just as it is important to inspire the young generation to care for themselves, and the people around them. The main goal of pediatric care is to not only care about the wellness of the child but inspire and support them. This concept will be integrated by inspiring the young generation through empowering, educational, and self-loving ideals. Visually you will see round, wavy elements mimicking the environment of the Loggerhead, as well as colors seen on and around the turtle. The user will feel serene and excited entering a new world, the world of the Loggerhead.
