Pru Maskell – County Councillor My apologies, it has been a while since I wrote a report for this magazine. I am approaching almost a year as your County Councillor and it has certainly been a learning curve. Although lots of our meetings remain online, I do visit County Hall in Exeter for full council meetings and for some of the Scrutiny Committees. I also try to get out and about meeting as many residents as I can. One of the best things about my new job is giving money from my locality budget to local charities and organisations looking for grants towards their work.
This year I have been able to contribute to things like, new furniture for Braunton Countryside Centre, funding for an art project for Studio Kind in Braunton, a donation towards Croyde Surf Lifesaving Club’s new clubhouse, The Hygiene Bank, One Northern Devon Culture Health and Wellbeing project, The Braunton Men’s Shed Project and Blakeford Woods Forest School.
