BRAUNTON FUNDRAISING GROUP FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK A fundraising event is being held on Wednesday 25th May. Please call Jackie on 01271 814475 for more information. Advance notice. We shall have a General Tombola Stall at the Rotary Club Fair on Friday 3rd June to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Anniversary. Thank you to all who supported the Tesco Turns Pink campaign £194.30 was collected. CHRISTIAN AID Christian Aid Week runs from 15th to 21st May this year. The week will commence with an Ecumenical Service on Sunday 15th May at 6.30pm in Christchurch, Braunton. All are very welcome to attend. Collection envelopes will be distributed during the week. Thank you for your support. BRAUNTON & DISTRICT U3A Monthly meeting Tuesday May 3rd 10.30am. This month’s speaker “Richard Wolfenden-Brown. The Plough Arts Centre: with the gory bits left in”. Entry £1 includes tea/coffee and a biscuit. Members only, for more information on U3A activities check the U3A website. BRAUNTON LIBRARY Every Monday 11am to 11:45 Mini Readers - Under 5's, read a story and have a sing song and craft Every other Monday Crochet & coffee 2-4pm, enquire in library for details. 3rd Monday of the month - 4:30-5:30 - adult book club, cuppa and chat about that month book, all welcome. Wednesday’s in term time Julia’s Story Time 10.30. 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month Lego club - 10:30 to 12:30, all welcome. Alternative Saturdays craft club - 10:30 to 12:30, all welcome. Volunteers required to help with Library Extra opening, 2 hours a month would make a difference. CHRIST CHURCH BRAUNTON Saturday 7th May 10am - 12 noon - Coffee Morning and Raffle with cake stall and books. Please come and support our local family in this special fund raising event. THE ROTARY CLUB OF BRAUNTON CAEN MEMORY CAFÉ Last Wednesday of the month at the Vivian Moon Centre, Chaloners Road, Braunton, EX33 2ES 2-4pm A memory café is a friendly and informal café with a warm Rotary welcome in a relaxed atmosphere, for people with memory problems.
