The popularity of children’s books is also on the rise. This has come as a surprise to some experts who a few years ago expected that the quality of animation in cartoons that children can watch on any of their devices would make pictures on paper look very old-fashioned. They obviously did not take into account the power of imagination and the need to use it. Stephen Fry, a British actor and writer, wrote that books are no more threatened by e-readers than stairs by elevators. The point he was making is that in all buildings where there are elevators, there are also stairs. In the same way many books are produced in different formats for different purposes and the needs of the readers. Travellers like the convenience of being able to store their books on a device without having to overload their suitcases. However, people love to receive a beautiful hardback book as a present.
