our journey towards Nature Positive

Designed to lead, with the lowest CO2

For over 60 years, elho has been bringing today’s nature into people’s daily lives with beautifully designed products. What began with a modest order of 75,000 cactus pots has grown into a leading international production of more than 51 million sustainable items each year, including flowerpots, planters, everything for growing and harvesting, watering cans, and rain barrels. Later this year, we will launch a new range of beautiful and sustainable nature nest products: bird houses, bird feeders, and insect hotels, giving more room to wildlife gardening and helping nature thrive, even in the smallest outdoor spaces.

Throughout this journey, our deep love for nature has remained our guiding force.

As a family business, we feel a strong responsibility to care for the world around us, for people, for the planet, and for generations to come. We are incredibly proud that our entire collection is made from 100% recycled plastic, is 100% recyclable, and is produced using 100% renewable energy. This has played a key role in reducing our CO2 emissions. In fact, we’re proud to share that we now have the lowest CO2 footprint in our category, the result of years of dedication, innovation, and bold choices. Over the past eight years, we have already reduced our CO2 footprint by nearly 50%, and we continue to push for more.

In 2024, we strengthened our commitment as a Certified B Corp by improving our B Impact Score by 28,5%. We continue to use our business as a force for good, not only by creating beautiful designer and sustainable products, but by supporting the well-being of our employees, investing in innovation, and inspiring others to reconnect with nature.

Our promise is simple: we create beauty with nature in mind, we put people first, and we help to reconnect people with nature around them. It’s not just about doing better today, it’s about building a future we can all be proud of.

Thank you for being part of our green journey.

At elho, we believe that design and sustainability go hand in hand. From our headquarters in Tilburg, the heart of our innovation, we create beautiful, functional designer pots that make it easy for people to bring more nature into their daily lives. Every year, we transform over 13 million kilograms of recycled plastic into new products, powered entirely by renewable energy from our own wind turbine.

All our products are made in the Europe, partly in our own production facility in Tilburg (NL)and partly in collaboration with co-producers. Our warehouse is located in an exceptionally sustainable BREEAM-certified building, reinforcing our commitment to responsible operations across the entire chain.

With a solid financial foundation, a turnover of €113 million in 2024 and ambitions to grow, we are scaling our impact while staying true to our purpose. Our journey is guided by core values that shape our culture and decisions: always forward, beauty, entrepreneurship, meaningfulness, collaboration, and supportive.

Our product portfolio is built around three labels, each with its own identity:

• elho stands for iconic beautiful design, innovation, and sustianability leadership.

• Florus offers accessible, good-quality products with a sustainable edge.

• Good(s)factory specializes in tailor-made, co-created solutions for our partners. Each label caters to different price-quality levels, style groups, and shopper profiles, ensuring a broad range of choices for consumers.

With sustainability always at the forefront, we continuously develop initiatives to inspire our team, partners, and customers.

Because we are elho!

Proud to raise the bar

For over three years, elho has proudly been part of the B Corp community, a global movement of companies using business as a force for good. The B Corp certification is an internationally recognized standard for organizations that create positive impact for people, society, and the planet.

In 2020, we received our first certification. This year, we successfully completed our recertification, improving our score by an impressive 28.5%, reaching a total of 104.5 points. This result reflects years of focus, teamwork, and a company-wide commitment to sustainability, transparency, and continuous improvement, all with the aim of making a real difference.

The B Impact Assessment evaluated our performance across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. We're proud to have raised the bar in every category and we continue setting ambitious goals for the future.

As a Certified B Corp, we stay committed to building a livable, healthy, and fair world, for this generation and the ones to come.

We create beauty with nature in mind

Our mission is clear. We want to connect as many people as possible with nature. Because nature makes you feel happy, healthy and boosts your energy. And since nature is so important to us we feel the responsibility to create everything with nature in mind.

All our products are made from 100% recycled plastics, the result of years of pioneering, circular design, and investing in the right technology and the expertise of our team. Last year, 13 mln KG waste has been transformed into beautiful designer pots.

Sustainability begins with durable quality and timeless design. Quality that endures, with the promise of a lifetime guarantee. To ensure this, we source high-quality raw materials, invest in advanced machinery, and create with longevity in mind.

We decreased our footprint by 50% in 8 years. Thanks to local production, use of 100% recycled plastic, 100% recyclability, limited water and renewable energy our carbon footprint is now 2,5 times lower than non-sustainable plastic pots and 6 times lower than ceramic pots.

life time guarantee

Quality is the foundation of lasting impact. Each year, we take meaningful steps to improve the quality of our products. By doing so, we reduce waste and defects during our production and packaging processes, while ensuring that our products are made to last. Because the longer something lasts, the less it needs to be replaced: better for the planet, and better for our consumers.

Quality control checks checks help to improve products, cut waste, scrap and excess transport

recycled plastic

In 2023, we reached a major milestone: all virgin plastic was successfully replaced with 100% recycled plastic across our entire collection. Since recycled plastic can vary in quality, we’ve built strong partnerships with reliable sourcing partners and implemented robust quality controls on incoming materials, ensuring production consistency while minimizing waste.

In 2024 alone, we transformed 13 million kilograms of plastic waste into high-quality, beautifully designed pots. Behind each pot lies a story of circularity and purpose.

Our team is always on the lookout for innovative recycled materials to craft long-lasting products in the most sustainable way possible. We especially value waste streams with character: stories we can share. One such story comes from the European agricultural sector, where plastic waste is a growing concern. For our Winery Collection, we partnered with vineyards in Alsace and Champagne to give discarded plastic vine strings a second life. The result: a striking indoor range in two rich wine tones, warm purple and deep Bordeaux red.

This collection continues our tradition of turning waste into beauty, as we’ve done before with our Ocean and Coffee collections.

CO2

Each year, elho’s carbon footprint is calculated in collaboration with Anthesis, covering our own operations as well as key activities in our supply chain (scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions).

Cutting our carbon footprint by 50% in just 8 years

To measure our carbon footprint, we follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the most widely used standard for tracking and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. It helps organizations understand where their emissions come from, so they can take action to reduce them.

By looking at all three scopes, we get a complete picture of our climate impact and where we can make the biggest difference.

We’re proud to have reduced our CO2 emissions by 50% over the past five years, and we remain committed to driving further reductions, year after year.

making footprints visible

The elho eco passport offers clear and honest insight into the environmental footprint of each product, with a focus on CO2 emissions. It includes details on energy use, materials, certifications, warranty, and carbon impact. By sharing this information transparently, we aim to support consumers in making more conscious choices and inspire the industry to put sustainability first.
