or centuries, we have looked to France as a source of inspiration, particularly when it comes to the culinary arts. Thanks to L’Atelier Paris Haute Design, we are able to bring our gourmet dreams to life. Integrating the sophistication of Parisian-inspired style with sleek craftsmanship and quality, L’Atelier Paris has become the foremost creator of custom kitchens, showcasing endless possibilities while crafting their signature made-to-measure luxury ranges. The results are kitchens that fully reflect each client’s lifestyle, as beautiful as a three-course meal. Relaunched in 2019 by industry veteran, Ricardo Moraes, L’Atelier Paris Haute Design is becoming synonymous with the pinnacle of luxury kitchens. Moraes explains, “The personalized design process and attention to detail that we can offer at L’Atelier Paris are unsurpassed. Each of our ranges and tailor-made kitchens are customized and fully fitted with professional-grade elements, suited for both professional chefs and home cooks, that enhance and thoughtfully maximize the cooking experience.”

L’Atelier Paris draws inspiration for their creations from French culinary arts and artisan traditions, but the individualized planning process that amplifies with every detail of a project is where the brand is unrivaled. All L’Atelier Paris designs are created in collaboration with the clients and before even drawing a sketch, the firm takes an in-depth look at how their client cooks, entertains, and even their lifestyle in order to create an extraordinary kitchen space that fully embodies and reflects who they are. L’Atelier Paris Creative Director, Maria Moraes comments, “What makes a kitchen from L’Atelier Paris unique is not only their beauty, but also our unparalleled customization capabilities to create something as unique as our clients… whether we are designing just the kitchen range or the complete kitchen, no two projects are ever the same.” The brand’s unique high-level of customization is due to its in-house team, including remarkable skilled European artisans, including engineers, modelers, metalsmiths, and master carpenters, with local installation overseen by a team of meticulous craftsmen. Ricardo Moraes explains, “by having a hand in every step of the process, we are able to work closely with clients and guide them through the process of hand-selecting every aspect of their suite. This involves choosing from a full line of professionally fitted attachments that add another level of sophistication and elegance to the space.” As part of the customization process, the design team from L’Atelier Paris works with the homeowner to identify not only the correct layout, color, materials and elements, but also understand how they cook, helping select several additional cooking elements such as: detachable griddles, drawer dividers, wok rings, supple leather liners for shelves and drawers, and more.

Additionally, L’Atelier Paris presents a limitless array of trim and finish color options for your range and appliances varying from sophisticated color palettes to unembellished hand brushed stainless steel. The brand also presents a new and unique Champagne finish option available on all their stainless-steel kitchens. Though this technique is already embedded within the design industry, L’Atelier is the only firm exclusively applying this technique to kitchens, resulting in a sleek and classic design. A selection of dinnerware is also offered in a new line of kitchen accessories that can be adorned in your kitchen as a finishing touch of elegance and sophistication. The new accessories feature copper cookware, chopping boards, and a range of handmade stoneware that highlight a simple yet refined design and come in a selection of gorgeous colors. “Every part of the design is taken into consideration during this phase, from the exact cooking range configuration to the decorative elements. Regardless if a client is just purchasing a specific product or letting us design their entire kitchen, the result is always a specially designed piece that is unique and created by hand just for them, exclusive in every way,” said Moraes. The L’Atelier Paris brand strives to innovate and expand their offerings and is excited to announce a future launch of a new exclusive Spring 2021 Color Collection. Inspired by this year’s season of hope and joy, L’Atelier has developed a new bright and colorful palette featuring 28 exclusive colorways. This exciting new collection of colorful tones will be offered in all of the brand’s kitchen ranges and metal cabinetry.

“We are thrilled to be launching a new and refreshing color palette. For this collection we created 28 exclusive colors that beautifully complement our brand’s exceptional craftsmanship, Parisian-inspired designs, and cutting-edge technology in our custom ranges and cabinetry,” said Maria Moraes, co-founder and Creative Director for L’Atelier Paris Haute Design. Customized, beautiful, and luxurious, L’Atelier continues to build a brand that improves and enhances, in every aspect, what is unavailable in the marketplace. By showcasing an endless mix of styles and world-renowned craftsmanship, the firm blends innovation and sophistication with unlimited potential for a creative partnership to bring diverse and true kitchen designs that transcend geography.

hen William Murdoch invented Gas Lights in 1792, he ushered in a wave of London’s most progressive era the Industrial Revolution. As London’s Street Lights were relentlessly destroyed from the incoming bombs during WWII, no one knew that those same planes flying overhead would contain the technology that lead to the revolutionary history of Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights. Jobs created through the massive manufacturing wartime effort of WWII were no longer needed after the war ended 1945, but the skillsets learned would create an influx in entrepreneurs and business, including Italian immigrant Andrew Bevolo, Sr. (Andrea Giovanni Bevolo, Sr.). Following the path of the American Dream, Mr. Bevolo would open Bevolo Metal Crafts - his business card would read “We Metal in Everything”. His knowledgeable metalwork skills acquired during his time on the first crew to develop the Helicopter lead to historic innovation in the Gas Lighting industry.

Through Mr. Bevolo’s efforts with inventor Igor Sikorsky, the iconic London Street Lights found their way to the U.S. and fortuitously to the French Quarter, either as souvenirs or antiques needing repair. Knowing that copper must be shiny clean in order for the lead solder to adhere, the talented Mr. Bevolo knew of only one solution, to hand rivet the failing joints and marry them together with a Copper Rivet, the same rivets he used in his Aviation career to hold aircrafts and landing crafts. This would give the pure

copper fixture, which had a potential 300 year operability, a new lease on life. This historic contribution of Andrew Bevolo to Gas Lighting technology is what makes Bevolo Gas and Lighting’s history so unique. The original 35 X 18 dimensions of that first historical lighting fixture remains an integral part of the Bevolo line of lighting today. You can find Bevolo lanterns on some of the most notable homes, restaurants, hotels, and street lighting throughout New Orleans and the world.

Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights come to life, illuminating nearly every building listed on the area’s National Register of Historic Places, including The Cabildo, The Presbytère and Jackson Square. Many famous restaurants and hotels, including; Brennans Restaurant, Tableau, The Royal Sonesta, The Bourbon Orleans. Bevolo has 4 unique locations in the heart of the French Quarter and has solely operated out of New Orleans since the company was established in 1945. New Orleans is a exceptionally appropriate city to host Bevolo’s niche business since it was among the first in the country to have urban gas lighting, after Baltimore and Philadelphia, and you can still see its influence throughout the city – giving it a mysterious, alluring atmosphere that is almost transcendent and exudes the feeling that one has stepped back in time. Their showrooms also capture this essence and are a memorable experience in themselves – showcasing a collection of their “Patented Batwing Burner”, rated most efficient in the world, and vintage/antique lighting in a historic building. Additionally, the showrooms serve as an opportunity to glimpse at the craftsman handcrafting the signature lanterns onsite.

f RH had a singular mantra or guiding principle, it would likely center on the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Refuse to follow where the path may lead, but instead go where there is no path, and leave a trail.” It’s a quote often cited by Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman, and for good reason. In the pantheon of most admired luxury brands, it is an exceedingly rare feat to begin as a struggling mass market retailer and ever achieve this coveted status. But over the course of the last two decades, RH, once known as Restoration Hardware, has emphatically defied conventional wisdom to do just that. “20 years ago, we began this journey with a vision for transforming a nearly bankrupt business with a box of Oxydol laundry detergent on the cover of its catalog into the leading luxury home brand in the world,” Friedman says. “Leadership is about pursuing a vision, something you’ve never seen, that’s somewhere you’ve never been.”

Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman

RH Ski House Collections

Core to this vision was a dramatic and continual elevation of the brand’s product offering. The quest led Friedman and his team to develop an extensive global network of acclaimed designers, artisans and manufacturers to co-create exclusive collections for the expanding RH platform – from master glass artist Alison Berger in Los Angeles to globally-renowned designer Piet Boon in Amsterdam. This level of design was previously only available to members of the trade through niche showrooms. “There are those with scale and no taste and those with taste and no scale,” Friedman says. “Furniture of this quality has never been made in these quantities before.” A constellation of new businesses and concepts followed – RH Interiors, Modern, Outdoor, Ski House, Beach House, Baby & Child and TEEN, among them. Conquering the luxury market also meant reimaging the physical manifestation of the brand. Friedman’s opening salvo came with the 2010 unveiling of RH San Francisco – a Palladian palazzo across the street from the San Francisco Design Center situated amidst the city’s leading interior design firms, an unprecedented move for a retailer at the time. In breathtaking fashion, Friedman has challenged the prevailing logic that shopping is destined to become an all-digital pursuit in the years since.

RH Yountville, a first-of-its-kind food, wine, art and design experience located in the heart of Napa Valley.

“Many who report on retail’s imminent death are overlooking the obvious – we are physical and social creatures,” Friedman says. “It’s why we still want to go to theaters to watch movies, concerts to listen to music, ballparks to see a game, and restaurants to grab a bite. “The big issue with retail is that it’s basically been designed in the same way for the last 50 years – an archaic windowless box that lacks any sense of humanity. There’s no natural light or fresh air.” On the premise that great architecture amplifies and renders its product and brand more valuable, RH continues to innovate by creating highly immersive Design Galleries that blur the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors. From grand-scale contemporary structures to historic landmark buildings that have been meticulously preserved and restored, visitors discover lush garden courtyards and terraces, rooftop parks and conservatories, and full floors featuring artistic installations that showcase collections from each of the RH businesses. Among these singular places are The Gallery at the Historic Museum of Natural History in Boston’s famous Back Bay; RH Greenwich, the Gallery at the Historic Post Office; RH West Hollywood, the Gallery on Melrose Avenue; and RH Atlanta, a 70,000-square-foot experience conceptualized as a contemporary version of a southern estate.

RH West Palm

RH Boston

RH Chicago’s 3 Arts Club Café

RH Chicago

RH New York with its Rooftop Restaurant and central atrium with glass elevator.

In later iterations, Friedman has pushed the concept still further by merging home and hospitality – initially at RH Chicago, The Gallery at the Three Arts Club, where he introduced the brand’s first culinary offering. The experience includes a Wine Vault, Barista Bar and the 3 Arts Club Café, which Zagat promptly added to its list of “ten sexiest restaurants.” “We’re trying to revolutionize physical retailing by seamlessly integrating food, wine, art and design – creating environments that activate all of the senses and cannot be replicated online,” Friedman says. True to that, glass-encased rooftop restaurants – where guest dine in year-round, skylit garden escapes beneath dramatic atriums with retractable glass walls, sparkling crystal chandeliers and heritage olive trees – have since emerged in new Galleries coast to coast. At RH New York, hailed by Forbes as “the perfect place to dine,” a stunning light installation by Berger flows through a six-story grand double staircase. At RH West Palm, visitors are met with a 14-foot wall of cascading water inspired by the famed fountain in Paley Park and an ancient text-based mural by renowned artist RETNA which commands the Gallery’s entire façade. To evolve the brand beyond conceptualizing product to conceptualizing and selling spaces, Friedman and

his team are also in the midst of building the largest residential interior design firm in North America – providing a concierge-level service that seamlessly appears in each of the new Galleries as an RH Interior Design Firm and Atelier. These interactive studios feature private client presentation rooms with state-of-the-art technology, as well as RH Rugs showrooms. As an emergent global luxury leader, the future of RH is defined by possibility and purpose – one that includes the unveiling of RH San Francisco, the Gallery at the Historic Bethlehem Steel Building later this year. The 60,000-square-foot building spans five floors and is prominently situated at Illinois and 20th Streets – the crown jewel of Pier 70. Constructed in 1917 and designed in the Classical Revival style by distinguished San Francisco architect Frederick H. Meyer, the entire structure will be restored to its original glory in honor of the building’s unique history, cultural significance and singular place in San Francisco’s urban landscape. Friedman is also planning to expand the brand beyond North America with first-of-their kind Galleries in Europe, beginning in 2022. “You should count on us to take the road less traveled – one that will continue to ignite our spirit and inspire our customers,” says Friedman.

here has always been something special about entertaining outdoors. It may include spectacular views; for others, it is the fresh air and intimacy you get with nature; for others, it denotes a more casual and informal setting that lends to a great conversation. Today, whether you are a homeowner or in the hospitality industry, outdoor gatherings provide a safer environment. No matter the reason or motivation, we are spending more money creating elaborate outdoor spaces and time enjoying them. It is a shame to have to go indoors to have that morning cappuccino or miss the sunset with a glass of wine. Heating these spaces allow comfortable use when the weather gets cooler. For more than 50 years, Infratech has provided heating solutions for commercial and residential settings. Quality, versatility, affordability, and the peace of mind that comes with an American-made product have been the hallmarks of Infratech’s innovative line of outdoor heaters. As the outdoor living space has evolved from simple concrete slabs to elaborate settings with plush seating, TVs, kitchens, bars, and more, people have looked for ways to enjoy these environments beyond the summer months. The answer resoundingly has been Infratech, the market leader in providing heating solutions for these spaces. As the company’s Director of Sales David Arnold is proud to say, “its success story is deeply rooted in its solid Made in America foundation.”

“Our wide range of outdoor electric heating solutions with various wattages, controls, and price points, as well as our custom colors and myriad of mounting options - makes it impossible for an offshore company to come close to duplicating,” Arnold says. “We are deeply committed to quality and customer service, and only by manufacturing heaters here in the USA are we able to control every aspect of our business. People don’t often pay too much attention to this until it’s too late,” he explains. Dispelling the myth that domestically made always means more expensive, Infratech continues to prove that it can be price competitive with the offshore products. “And because we reinvest in our production and our plants, our efficiency has grown significantly. As a result, we’re able to offer a high-quality product line backed by the values that come with Made in America.”

In the consumer’s mind, domestic products represent superior quality, Arnold says. “For us, there’s also a deep sense of pride in workmanship by our employees. Many have been with us for decades, and they feel they’re part of a movement that contributes to the growth of the economy, and ultimately the safety and well-being of the country.” With innovation as one of its core values, Infratech continues to explore new products, new designs, and new technology. “We’re particularly interested in how new technology can be applied to home automation systems. As always, we are aware of how aesthetics play into the consumers’ choice.” Arnold goes on to say, “We all want to be comfortable, but at the same time, we take pride in the beauty of where we entertain. There is no need to compromise; you can have both.” In the last 12 months, Infratech has invested into its production, machinery, manufacturing capabilities, and hiring more people to keep up with the world-wide surge in demand for outdoor heating. The great news is we are not reliant on moving finished goods by containers, which have been experiencing unprecedented delays. Infratech prides itself in offering the best of everything, aesthetics, performance, and durability at a competitive price. For more information, please visit www.Infratech-USA.com

“ I question a world where all events and

lenn and Angelique Meader were at a dinner party the other night with some friends who they have known for many years, along with a few new people who they were just meeting for the first time. Most of them were from similar industries: building, remodeling, interior design, etc. A long-time friend introduced Glenn and Angelique to the people sitting across the table, “This is Glenn and Angelique Meader from Good Life New England. They do kitchens.”

Now, the statement, while not incorrect, caused a momentary pause for Glenn and Angelique. “They do kitchens.” This is true, they design and install incredible kitchens. But neither of them can’t remember the last project that was really just about the kitchen. Most clients are referred to Good Life New England because they have been to a friend’s

home who recently worked with them. It typically goes something like this… Over a glass of wine or cup of coffee their friend proudly presents their new space, detailing the trials and tribulations of living through a “kitchen remodel”. Unfortunately, what is frequently left out of the conversation is the part that explains of how the process evolved, morphed, twisted, and turned to ultimately yield the final result. Many clients start with the knowledge that they would like to change a space within their home (kitchen, bath, outdoor living space, etc.), but it’s Good Life New England’s job is find the real reason why. It’s not merely because the cabinets are outdated or because the layout is not functional, it’s more than that. Throughout the process, more and more reasons are uncovered as to why the space is not conducive to the owners lifestyle. Goodlife New England present ways to solve the issues that clients have gone “blind” to. This requires not only listening, but asking the right questions.

Recently, Glenn and Angelique worked on such a project. This particular client came in because they wanted to renovate the kitchen in their home. The first in-person meeting revealed many challenges that the clients were facing - well beyond their kitchen. Glenn and Angelique had a long conversation with their clients about why they had originally purchased this home, how they live on a daily basis, and what their long-term goals are for this property. As it turns out, they had struggled for a long time with the overall layout of the first floor of their home. The home had been added on to over the years, yet the size of the kitchen always remained the same. This client also has aging parents that visit often. Their home currently had a half-bath on the first floor, and the stairs to the upstairs full bath always presented a great challenge. The four-car garage, with unfinished space above, was oversized, but underutilized. While large in scale, there was a fair amount of “dead space” in the home that the homeowners knew could and should be better utilized. This clearly was no longer just about the kitchen.

The clients shared with Glenn and Angelique that they had met with two other designers prior to meeting their first meeting. The designs they presented were improvements, but still missed the mark. Glenn and Angelique took time to review the previous designs and then developed their proposal. Thoughtful design, creative storage options, and interior design flow were all at the forefront. The end result was a complete transformation of the first floor. Walls were moved, existing rooms were redefined, and new spaces were created. With use of Goodlife New Englands robust virtual 3D design software, they were able to help their clients visualize how their new space would truly feel. The clients were thrilled. Later that day they received this email: “Great, productive meeting today. Thank you so much for capturing what no one else was quite grasping. This means a lot to us. We’re ready to start as soon as humanly possible.” Glenn and Angelique couldn’t ask for a greater compliment. So, you see, this is why when people say, “they do kitchens”, they have to resist the urge to correct them.

Goodlife New England’s design process is truly what sets them apart. They frequently collaborate with builders, architects, and interior designers. The goal is to add value, not compete. They take a holistic approach to each project and try to look at it through a different lens than their partners. Every aspect of the home is considered: how the clients live, their long term goals, what makes them happy, what are their pain points. At the end of the day, if they’re able to achieve a total transformation of a home, and the client felt no more discomfort than an average “kitchen renovation”, then that too is considered a success. People often ask why the company is named “Good Life New England”. This is exactly why. They strive every day to help their clients achieve whatever “The Good Life” means to them. Sometimes it’s a new kitchen, but more often than not, it’s not just about the kitchen. Good Life New England currently offers their full breadth of services to the New England area, The Cape and Islands, Florida, and the Bahamas. Their specialty is residential design, custom cabinetry, and space planning for indoor as well as outdoor living spaces.

e didn’t know it at the time, but when Eric Fleming sketched out his first cabinet design to fit his home garage, he had created the blueprint for what would become Baldhead Cabinets. Over twenty years later, Eric still enjoys running the business and being involved in every part unique of the process. There’s a reason they’re not named Fleming Cabinets—they believe their “family” is larger than themselves. From the front desk to the back shipping door, everyone at Baldhead plays an important role in the design and manufacturing of your custom cabinets.

Everything begins with your custom design. No two places or projects are the same, so every cabinet is custom planned for each Baldhead customer. With their seamless in-house engineering and fabrication process, they control the quality and timing of every project. From computer-aided design to laser cutting to powder coating and shipping, their hands touch every part of the process. The goal is to deliver cabinets that meet their company standards and surpass your expectations.

Baldhead Cabinets are proud to be known as a high-end custom metal cabinet company; but at the heart, Baldhead is family. Since manufacturing their first metal product in 1985, we have been family owned and operated. Located in their beautiful hometown of Bend, Oregon, they bring their family values to every aspect of business. They believe that relationships matter, there are no shortcuts to quality, and generosity is contagious. They are grateful to do this work, and look forward to collaborating with you on your custom cabinet project.

fter moving to Nashville, Tennessee with his family from France as a fiveyear old in 1960, Glen Oxford’s Tennessee roots are deep. After gaining Architectural and Environmental Design degrees at Auburn University, he returned home to his native Nashville community to put his skills to work. Working across both commercial and residential projects, Oxford knew he could deliver value to clients looking for creative design with a sound structural footprint and in 1986 set out on his own. Today, Oxford Architecture is a boutique design firm with a strong commercial portfolio and clients across the country. As a member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and licensed in forty-seven national jurisdictions, Oxford has a broad reach providing planning and design services for a variety of clients. “I enjoy the fast pace of commercial work” when asked about the difference between commercial and residential projects. Oxford

Architecture, with a focus on retail and office design always has multiple projects under way. There is however another side of Oxford that takes his curious and creative design side to spectacular residences across the South. His first home project was in a small Alabama town. The “Stump” House was an exercise in organic design. Located on a heavily wooded site, the owners wanted the setting to be a new discovery for friends to enjoy as they approached the house. The owners were fans of Frank Lloyd Wright and Bruce Goff so they were looking to make a statement, with purpose. “It was called the Stump House because for every tree that was removed to make way for the home, I added a skylight in its place, bringing nature into the space.” Oxford said he learned early that a home needs to fit the site parameters, whether it is in the woods or in a neighborhood. He specifies materials as close to nature as possible that will allow the home to age gracefully and outlive the client, his signature of sustainability.

There is no “typical” for Glen Oxford and his approach to planning and design. His clients will tell you that he is practical yet determined to truly get to their requirements. The interview process is two way. First, he interviews the clients in a way to gain understanding to what is important to them. “It’s a discovery process for me and for the client” Oxford says, “saying it out loud is very helpful.” Next, he initiates for the client to interview him back. It is with this alignment that the design process begins. Taking the site environment, location, setting and client requirements, the blank canvas gives way to initial sketches and preliminary design. Oxford’s commercial experience is evident in the details of his building plans not often found in residential construction. “Capturing small details makes the difference in all structures” says Oxford, “After all these are designs to live by.” Each client must see themselves in the space and recognize how the design represents who they are. Recent residential projects have been split between Middle Tennessee and Florida’s Panhandle. Teamed with his wife, Rozanne Jackson of Rozanne Jackson Interiors and The Iron Gate, this duo brings a practical yet artistic approach to both the structural, exterior, and interior elements of design.

A recent Nashville project involved an urban property on a nearly half acre shoebox of a lot in a neighborhood on a busy street. As experienced urban dwellers the clients wanted to make a statement to the street but beyond the streetscape, a quiet retreat in the city. As empty nesters, a place to age as gracefully as this new home. The result was a black brick façade set back from the street juxtaposing sharp lines with the softness of reclaimed old growth timbers and patina of a copper roof and trim. Further, Corten retaining walls and columns frame a stunning street view with ample off-street parking for visitors. The owners had priorities around first floor living for everyday life for two but with open spaces designed for entertaining, including outdoor amenities. A second floor designed for the comfort and privacy of visiting family and friends. Individual office spaces, one in the house and one above the detached garage.

The result was a French cobblestone entry that gives way to a shiplap staircase foyer emerging into the dining room, bar, island fireplace, sitting room and living room all anchored to a spacious kitchen. Beyond is the master suite tucked in the rear, far away from the street. All day natural illumination is courtesy of eleven-foot ceilings and windows to match with an ample southern exposure. Off the kitchen is a portico for outdoor dining with a fireplace, looking out to a pool framed with Indiana limestone and a Corten greenscreen leading to an outdoor kitchen cabana. The second floor is home to three ensuite guest rooms and a guest laundry. Each design priority was delivered by design. The Oxford/Jackson team recently designed and built a second home in Alys Beach, Florida. As a vacation home it communicates comfort and relaxation, featuring his signature uses of materials.

ost windows and doors are manufactured to look like dull and lifeless features, but at Panda we design beautiful pieces of functional glass that perform as well as they look.” CEO and Founder, Avi Shoshan, established Panda Windows & Doors in 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada with a goal to create beautiful pieces of functional glass that perform as well as they look. Avi and his team at Panda designed, manufactured, and delivered its first aluminum framed folding door to a remodeled custom home located in Downtown Las Vegas. As design trends evolved and architects became interested in designing large moveable openings, Panda found its niche market and began designing and engineering state-of-the-art custom glass wall systems that cater to the needs of both residential and commercial markets. 30 years later, in 2020 Panda opened new Panda exclusive showrooms in Orange County, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, with a San Francisco showroom location opening soon and nearly 100 new Panda dealers coming online across North America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Panda has continued to grow as homeowners are spending more time in their homes and creating luxurious, vacation at home spaces.

An upgrade from traditional patio doors, Panda doors leave a big impression while offering homeowners an easy transition from the indoor to the outdoor world. Each Panda door system is custom designed, engineered, and fabricated in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moving glass wall systems essentially blend the beauty of windows with the functionality of doors. Tracks can be curved or straight, making it easy to work with irregularly shaped spaces. Walls can be designed and installed at a 90-degree angle, allowing the chance to incorporate two walls instead of one. Panda systems are not only beautiful they are also durable, energy efficient, and offer unmatched performance in any weather. For a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor spaces, Panda Folding Doors are the perfect design choice. Also referred to as a bi-fold doors or accordion doors, these innovative Folding Doors feature a proprietary top-hung design that allows individual panels to stack or “fold” against one another on either side or both sides of the door frame. When fully open, the stacked door panels provide a 90% unobstructed view of the outdoor space beyond.

Blur the lines between interior and exterior living spaces with Panda Multi-Slide Doors. Also known as sliding doors or telescoping doors, Multi-Slide glass door systems are ideal for opening up large expanses. Panels can slide to one or both sides of the opening, and our pocket-door designs can hide the individual door panels entirely from view. The number of panels included in one system is virtually unlimited. make Panda’s Multi-Slide Door Systems a popular choice for both commercial and residential projects. For a minimalist elegance that offers breathtaking, unobstructed views, Panda Windows & Doors presents the award-winning TS.X0 Multi-Slide glass door system. Featuring immersive, oversized sliding glass panels with ultra slim profiles measuring less than one inch across, the extensively tested TS.X0 offers unbeatable clarity and unobstructed views of any landscape. Leverage the style-rich craftsmanship of TS.X0 sliding doors to redefine modern living – while seamlessly integrating indoor spaces with the beautiful outdoors.

Panda’s Lift & Slide Door Systems are the perfect choice when a demand for optimal weather resistance and maximized property security is crucial. Utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, this popular glass doors can support individual panels of up to 100sqft or 600lbs each while remaining fully operational with just a single finger. Panda’s world-class engineering involves a proprietary system of levers and wheels that allows the individual panels to drop securely into the bottom track located in the floor. Double v-gaskets located at the top, bottom, and sides of the sleek glass panels create an airtight and watertight seal that is remarkably weather-proof and maximally secure against burglary or forced entry. As minimalist architecture with sleek lines continues to grow in popularity, entryway doors are becoming taller and more massive. This desire for majestically impressive entryways is leading many designers and property owners to choose Pivot Door Systems. By embedding special “pivot hinges” into the top and bottom of the frame, the door appears to be almost floating in thin air when opening and closing. Panda Windows & Doors offers more than 50 high-quality systems including Folding Doors, Lift & Slides, Horizontal Wall Systems, Pivot & French Doors, Multi-Slides, Retractable Screens, Panda-Select line, TS.X0, and Architectural Windows. To this day, Panda remains committed to enhancing the beauty of every project while adding value and inspiring design.

Anna Rosemann: I would say it began when my mom decided to add a master bedroom suite to our existing home when I was little. I was about twelve and fascinated by the whole construction process from beginning to end. Watching them dig the foundation, framing, installing the insulation, then drywall, paint and then finally helping my mom decorate the bedroom. Picking rugs, a new bed, nightstands and lamps. She was so proud and excited to enjoy her new room. I just thought how cool it was, there wasn’t something there before and now it was a space that gave my mom so much joy. I remember being grateful to be involved and quite enjoying the process not knowing I would one day do this for a living. How did that passion turn into AR Interiors? I worked for a high end staging company in Los Angeles on and off for 15 years. Hired as an assistant in the office initially. I learned a ton about real estate, interiors and the design market in general. I worked in the warehouse, in the office, on job sites, joined in on client meetings and eventually was helping

design $20 million + residential projects. Our clients were in the $5 - $50 million dollar range. Towards my final year there I was managing all their interior design projects and although the clients were ever changing, the process at the firm was the same and I needed a change, so I decided to start my own thing. Los Angeles designers, especially the Beverly Hills big ones, in my experience are very funny with how they work with clients, insane minimum budgets, over the top attitudes, etc. Not my style, I wanted to do something more accessible and friendly, high end design without the entitlement, who knew that could exist. How would you describe your personal interior design style? At the moment I would describe my design style as Monochromatic Wabi Sabi, sounds like a cool band name, no? I love staying within a specific color story but using various textures. I also love blending the rough and the smooth. In general, my design style changes and is inspired depending on where I am. Pre-Covid, I spent a lot of time traveling. Started in Australia (where my husband is from) love their beachy cool, modernist vibe. We then honeymooned for a month in Southeast Asia: Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Japan, it was a big trip and just breathtaking, the pagodas, colorful floors and Ankor Wat - left me speechless. Next we spent a month in the South of France - I mean, who doesn’t want a classic french country house? At the moment we are spending our Covid quarantine in Palm Springs, hence the monochromatic, earthy textures.

What is your mission when designing a space for a client? A happy client who LOVES spending time in their new space. It’s funny, I consider myself more of a problem solver than an interior designer. I take into account the wants and needs of the client + the bones of a home + style client likes + how the client lives (kids, pets, etc.) + budget and then guide them along the way knowing all the factors involved. I solve people problems and the end result just so happens to look pretty. What has been your favorite AR Interiors project of 2020? Our 8,500 square foot residential project at Hayvenhurst in the Encino Hills. Our client, Veronica Gallardo owner of Veronicas Insurance is a Latin community celebrity. We met and immediately bonded over our Mexican backgrounds and we are both to the point, no b.s. type of women. Veronica bought the home in Encino Hills, cut me a big check and said I need to move in 2 weeks. I laughed, but of course because she is so fun and inspiring and was such a joy to work with, we made it happen. I love it when clients challenge me while also making me laugh and sharing inspiration, very special.

What projects are you most excited about for 2021? Well, I just had a baby and I am a first time mom, so enjoying every minute of his first year is my priority at the moment. Work-wise, we are helping a hardworking couple finally build their dream home overlooking the ocean in San Pedro, that will be a wonderful project to see come to fruition. I also recently bought a home in Palm Springs that I am renovating. The style will be Scandi meets Tulum meets Wabi Sabi - desert tones, casual vibes with some classic mid century pieces. Lastly, I am most excited about developing my own projects, ground up. Residential flips, maybe a boutique hotel, throwing in some furnishing design, who knows, I

am keeping my options open! What interior design trends are you loving right now? Natural materials, I love using jutes, woods and rocks for example. Mixing textures allows for depth while not over stimulating the eye. Loving the resurgence of rattan and wicker, again with the natural materials, woven and texture, gets me every time. Light toned wood, I am rarely a fan of dark woods, so it is nice to see lighter toned woods are being used more often, especially in kitchens. Earth tones, I will always veer towards a cool, light colored, casual, earthy palate, you can take the girl out of California, but you can’t take California out of the girl.

acek Design Group is pleased to showcase an interior design project for luxury multifamily living. Chestnut Square, located in downtown West Chester, offers an urban lifestyle tucked in a suburban setting. Designed with a Classic American style, Gacek Design Group created a casual yet sophisticated environment with clean-lined modern furnishings and a color palette of grays, blues, and linens. The historic Chester County area inspired the design with the use of chestnut woods, simple classic forms like art glass, vintage elements like lanterns and horseshoes, as well as soft leather and wood banding details. Since West Chester is a town rich in culture, maintaining the integrity of the local history made sense, especially when building a new development to fit in a residential block. To support and preserve a sense of community, the exterior was designed as a classic brick façade with large storefront windows. The streetscape includes wide brick sidewalks with raised plantings and trees, designed to encourage walkability to downtown. Outdoor courtyards, gardens and terraces extend the interior living spaces. The modern interior can be compared to a boutique hotel you typically find in the heart of the city. In the digital age of virtual connections, it is vital to engage consumers and to capture their attention emotionally with a genuine connection. Since trends indicate that creating an experience offers universal appeal among consumers, the Chestnut Square design strategy reflects sophisticated spaces based on lifestyle preferences. This is a direct response to the shift in demographic trends and the result is a compelling living environment with an exclusive and unprecedented experience. Chestnut Square is an example of what Gacek Design Group has coined Experiential Design. The design provides an experience that tells an authentic story and offers a welcoming environment that is functional and adaptable. Research indicates that maintaining connections are important among Millennial and Baby Boomer markets, who are the primary target profiles for Chestnut Square. They prefer open, entertaining areas that allow everyone to enjoy the space, whether sitting alone or together. At Chestnut Square, this concept is evident to provide functional, adaptable spaces that promote social connectivity. The great lounge is designed as an open, entertaining area, that highlights sharing tables, indoor and outdoor dining pods, cocktail lounges, and a rooftop open-air terrace. The bar can also transform to a breakfast buffet, to accommodate cooking demonstrations.

Experiential Design was carefully crafted to create a modern story with influences from the past. Classic mixed materials are used on all surfaces to include concrete, rivet metal bolting, banded steel, leather, glass, and wood. Outdoor natural elements from the local landscape were referenced on the inside and here are some examples: Chestnut Tree: The columns at the main entry are transformed to tree-like forms in a polished black, Venetian plaster finish. This shape takes inspiration from a chestnut tree which is common for its strong foundation. The columns stand to the ceiling’s wood metalwork detail which simulates tree leaves blowing in the wind. Stars: Moravian star-shaped patterns are seen on the floor, in terrazzo with soft metallic materials, that are up-lit and floor inset to surround the columns. They also symbolize roots of the chestnut tree. Organic Leaves: A custom, hand-crafted bronze chandelier simulates floral petals hanging from a tree branch to soften the hard surfaces. Equestrian Life: A life sized graphic of a gray horse seems to gallop through the space reflecting the Chester County equestrian experience. A quiet lounge is designed like a private luxurious interior of a horse carriage.

Chester County offers an area rich in American history with references to the Revolutionary war, Abraham Lincoln’s journey to the presidency, as well as the thousands of charming structures in West Chester that were built before colonial times. These details were used to build the Chestnut Square story in a modern and thoughtful way: Entrance Posts: Horse hitching posts frame the main entrance and illuminated pedestals flank the entry where custom cast bronze horse sculptures stand with prominence; Storefront Experience: High volume interior ceilings in narrow spaces offer an intentional nod to the historic small shops and streetscapes of West Chester. Indoor glass walls with ebony wood frames simulate a view to a quaint boutique in town; Cobblestone Streets: Polished concrete floors throughout the space depict gray cobblestone historic streets. Other references include: Wall art reflecting vintage postage stamps in pop art style; Antique lanterns inspired by strapping found on a horse carriage; Ironwork as accents for refinement; Inspired by the shape of a horseshoe; Modern interpretations of vintage gas lanterns; pottery; and Specialty wood as wall treatment from historic buildings. The concept of wellness and healthy living resonate with everyone today. Gacek Design Group interiors include this sentiment when looking at a space to see how it can accommodate an active lifestyle. With Chestnut Square touted as an urban style living alternative, it provides walkability to many outdoor conveniences. The interior space offers state of the art fitness, Yoga and Pilates rooms, a Zen garden, as well as concierge services and pet amenities. Residents enjoy a sophisticated style and the best of urban living in an affordable, suburban environment. To view the Gacek Design Group portfolio, visit GacekDesign.com

Sherle Wagner International’s collections include many of the original designs, including modern fittings first designed by Sherle Wagner himself during the MidCentury. The collection includes faucet sets and other fittings, accessories, and hardware. The Keystone is available in all nineteen metal finishes, and with optional semi-precious stone inserts. Dorian Collection The Dorian Collection references the tapered columns of classical Greek design, smoothing and modernizing them to meet the desires of today’s designer or homeowner. Its sleek silhouette flatters any setting, and transcends trend. The collection includes faucet sets and other fittings, accessories, and hardware. The Dorian is available in all nineteen metal finishes, and with optional semi-precious stone and ceramic inserts. ollowing the departure of its visionary founder in 2016, Liaigre has been infused with new energy and continues to exemplify understated elegance, and the most refined art de vivre. Led by Creative Director, Frauke Meyer, Studio Liaigre pursues creating interiors that capture the essence of beauty in its most refined form. Sobriety, serenity and soft lines remain at the pure core of the Liaigre spirit. The French Maison has just released the fourth monography in its history, “Liaigre Creation”, published by Rizzoli New York, demonstrating the seamless continuation of the brand’s legacy. The volume invites readers into a world tour of the Studio’s newest generation of interiors including a Japanese house overlooking hot thermal springs, a delicate renovation of a traditional local villa in St. Moritz, an update to a glamorous Parisian villa from the early twentieth century, a modern reinterpretation of a Bavarian-style mansion in Munich and featured here - a modernist palace in New Delhi, Studio Liaigre’s first project in India, exceptional in all aspects.

A modernist palace nestled in luxuriant nature, this outstanding project conducted with SCDA architects reinvents the interior design of an Indian palace, balancing theatricality with a respect for tradition, and balancing modernity with a rootedness in India’s culture. It is a total extravagance, drawing on multiple inspirations; the world of polo (the favorite sport of the owner), references to contemporary European design and numerous elements borrowed directly from the language of Indian architecture. The project’s large scale is reflected in a very ritualized way of life and is a place for entertaining and family. The proportions of the various reception spaces are similar to those seen in traditional palaces. Observations in the initial environment, drove Liaigre to devise a solution that took context into account: the hot, humid climate; requirements related to tradition and religion, including the impossibility of using leather; and above all, the owners’ desire to see the project attain perfection, mainly through the excellence of local craftsmanship. Every room in the house is defined by comfort, sophistication and fine detailing. www.Liaigre.com

ooking back on 20 years in business, I think about how many lives we’ve touched with our hide rugs. Not only the end users, but the artists with whom we’ve collaborated and the family of artisans who have lovingly pieced together each strip of hide over two decades. The community of Kyle Bunting stretches across time and place, built on collaboration, inspiration, and ingenuity. All of it, though, owes to the dedication and love of one man, my father, Jim Bunting, who recently passed away. My father and I would spend long afternoons at the rodeos in Texas when I was a kid, where he would sell these incredible works of art in cowhide. Dad would spend hours in the garage constructing elaborate patterns out of hide - an extremely unique and versatile material - to build one of a kind hide-topped cocktail tables and rugs, all the while saving up money to send my brother and I to college. I have fond memories of dad saying, “come here, help me cut this piece, would you?” while mom would bring us lemonade to help cool the hot Texas summer. Eventually, I knew I wanted to carry on this legacy of local craftsmanship and expand on what my father had done. He gave me the first hide rug he ever made - a map of Texas, each county an individual piece of different colored cowhide. To this day, that rug hangs in our factory. Every time I pass it, I’m reminded of what he said to me “I’m going to give you the rug, Kyle, but I only want one thing in return. I want you to give it your best and do something great with it, and you can have it.” That has stayed with me to this day, and I hope that I can continue to make my dad proud in what we do at Kyle Bunting.

Our rugs have an inherent personal quality to them. Each is uniquely created to specification by our team to a client’s vision. Sometimes, clients will ask me to include special accents or motifs on their rugs - little things that speak to them; poignant details like letters, words, and symbols. Upon my father’s passing, I knew I wanted to memorialize him through the craft he passed on to me. I decided to create a rug imbued with symbolic language that would communicate who Jim Bunting was - a dad, a granddad, a friend, a husband, an artist, and so much more. Drawing my color palette from the room where his memorial service was to be held, I created a piece that conveys all these aspects of my father through dates, symbols, and initials, each meaningful and particular to his memory. When our family and friends finally saw the finished product, they were amazed - it became a point of conversation, opening up to more conversations and shared memories. Realizing that these rugs could serve as a way to memorialize those things we hold most closely, while also serving as an engaging way to open conversations, I was inspired to create a series of rugs that speak to tradition - the memories we carry with us, and how we document these important moments that make us. The Story Rug is a riff on the old memory quilts that the generations before us would stitch together. It’s through these objects that we communicate those things that are most dear to our hearts. My Story Rug is an homage to my dad. It’s full of little details that were meaningful to him: the Texas Longhorns logo, the Eagle Scouts, birthdays, and the like. It’s in direct conversation with that first rug he made, to the creative spirit that has guided this company for the past twenty years. I hope that this line of rugs will be meaningful to others as well, serving as an opportunity to document, to remember, and to reflect. Jim Bunting was a man with a higher calling, always ready to serve and encourage. “Never be deficit in the favor bank,” he used to say. These words drive us to create pieces that inspire our clients, to uplift other creative voices, and to carry on his mission of making it count.

he more difficult a high-end product is to attain, the more originality and uniqueness it possesses. The wooden diving boards by Mikel Tube certainly enters this category. What once started as a single project has now become a full time activity with customers all over the world. Years of experience are the foundation of their quality and constant innovation. This makes them unique and the last of their kind remaining.

flexibility while also being very sustainable. But this kind of wood also needs a particular approach. Unlike classic types of wood, IPE has its own way. Years of experience have ensured that those special assembly techniques are mastered by Mikel. Starting with the exclusive “floating” technique® at first and now releasing the innovative “tension” technique®, makes the wooden diving boards of Mikel Tube unique.

Each board is handcrafted and can be personalized to your wishes. The specific design could be created by the very pure and light surface with a solid backbone which is invisible due the particular assembling. This allows Mikel Tube to change the length of the board to your wishes.

Design, innovation, respect for nature and a constant effort to improve are the main pillars of the brand that pioneered the use of specific techniques. Located in Belgium, they are proud to export the bulk of their production all over the world, adding the Belgian sense of precision and correctness in the package.

Winner of the Los Angeles International Design Awards in 2014 for the Revelation 1 model and now competing with the new Derover 1 model, a certain success. In 2020, the Derover 1 was launched and immediately got the attention of the industry. Some describe it as a piece of art. Indeed the new techniques used have allowed to create a stunning wooden diving board without losing the initial basic design that distinguishes the products of Mikel Tube. The best wood for a diving board is Brazilian hardwood TAMBUIA, better known as IPE. It offers strength and

Is a handcrafted wooden diving board the icing on the cake? You might think of Mikel’s designs like a jewel that finalizes the whole project, be it a swimming pool or a motor yacht. The owner has made a real effort to find the top location, a pool designer who perfectly embeds the project into this environment, a pool builder then carefully deploys what has been conceived. All this effort will stand out with a beautiful diving board. Compare it with dressing up for a special evening, the jewel will be put on last, the finishing touch to make it all perfect.

Once a week, Mikel takes the time to discuss projects remotely via video conferencing, after which he would reach out to Robert in Melbourne or Caroline in Los Angeles for example. “How would you want our customers to trust us unless they can reach us” would be his most repeated guideline. After a customer has initiated a request, a dedicated point-ofcontact will be designated to help this particular customer through the whole process. Starting with advice on the type of board or the size of the bracket, then entering the phase of safety communication and maintenance and finally ending with the helping hand on shipping and delivery, there is always one dedicated personal contact for every customer. Renowned all over the world and adopted by the most beautiful residential pools and motor yachts on the planet. Mikel Tube stands for personal relationships with customers. A small dedicated team handles the one to one contact creating a trustful relationship over any geographical distance. Mikel personally gives advice and creates the design of the global project if requested. Blending beauty, fun, and functionality is what design is all about. Combining quality, style, and affordability is the real challenge. Every design lover knows it comes with a price. Finding the delicate balance between quality, affordability, and style. These is the key elements to creating a unique product that sells.

Mikel advises every pool owner to add a diving board as a safety measure. Water is not the natural habitat for people, so safety should be one of the major concerns of a pool owner. A diving board will orient the diver to the deep end of your pool, making him dive from the spot where he/she can not touch the bottom of the pool. Diving from the deck on the shallow end will always be dangerous. Some of Mikel’s customers use the diving board cover to give a clear message to their children that the pool is not open. Mikel will even have a specific message embroidered on the cover if requested. One of the major impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the company is the surging cost of shipping. The boards, with an average weight of 220 pounds, are packed in special designed, reusable crates. The pandemic led to a worldwide crisis in aviation and with less space available, ocean freight is also now offered as a possibility for the patient customer. But the COVID-19 pandemic also brought some challenges that were less expected. The ban on travel makes it difficult to have photoshoots at the exotic places where Mikel’s customers reside. Instead, the team at Mikel Tube will reach out to their existing customers in 2021 and request that they enter the world wide competition for the most beautiful project. The winners, based on the number of likes on the dedicated Instagram portal, will be rewarded with the optional Diving Bench model.

alifornia Native Caroline D’Amore, a notable Model and DJ turned full-time entrepreneur, simultaneously maintained the role as executive chef and owner of Los Angeles-based family restaurants (D’Amore’s Pizza), while first introducing Pizza Girl™ in Spring 2019; a line of USDA certified organic, locally sourced and ethically-bottled sauces. Pizza Girl, Caroline’s childhood nickname which has become her persona to this day, sought to bring the freshest, healthiest, and most delicious pasta sauces to households nationwide for friends and families to enjoy together. Today, Caroline, also a mother to a beautiful daughter, focuses her efforts solely on her Pizza Girl brand and building this namesake empire. Pizza Girl returns Spring of 2021 with three updated sauce varieties; Marinara, Arrabbiata and Vodka flavor profiles, available at www.pizzagirl. com. All Pizza Girl sauces are non-GMO, USDA certified organic, locally sourced, ethically bottled,

and shipped with eco-friendly packaging in 24-oz glass jar. The Pizza Girl brand initially made waves the second it hit the market, for its flavorful and health-forward sauce, via Hollywood influencers and instant fans of the brand inclusive of Paris Jackson, Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Chudney Ross, Kourtney Kardashian, Emile Hirsch, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and more. Her e-commerce site is first to relaunch this March, offering the sauces for direct to consumer purchase in 24-oz glass jars. Pizza Girl will then do a retail rollout throughout 2021 beginning in her home state of California. “As an LA native, I spent years browsing the aisles at grocery stores so it was a dream come true to have my own sauce recipe on the shelves of my favorite retailers. I am beyond grateful and look forward to being back there again this Spring,” notes Caroline D’Amore, Founder of Pizza Girl.

“Coming from an Italian family of pizza makers, it was always a dream of mine to have a home product line featuring my grandmother’s recipes, reinvented, for everyone across the country to enjoy,” said D’Amore. “Essentially, the pizza business is in my DNA, and I am proud to carry on the tradition through my own interpretation, keeping my great grandmother’s recipes alive, following in my dad’s entrepreneurial footsteps, and adding my own modern touch.” - Caroline D’Amore Pizza Girl accelerated fast into early 2020 and after initially selling out all inventory, Caroline was faced with multiple factors that made it difficult to continue to meet demand. As with many businesses, the COVID-19 shut-down put pressure on her company early on, which led D’Amore to make the difficult decision to pause and regroup. Coupled with becoming a newly divorced single mother, this led her on a journey of major soul searching. She picked herself up and started all over again with a new outlook on life and business, and used the downtime to restructure the company. Pizza Girl™ is now excited for their relaunch with a stronger foundation than before, ready to meet the demand for her sauces. Caroline has had time to properly align her production and farm locations, and work with suppliers and partners who will strengthen her vision.

D’Amore adds, “...the integrity of our product is everything, and we will only ever produce and put out sauces that are up to these standards. If it meant pausing to adjust our growing needs to meet consumer demand, along with personal events, then those were the necessary steps to take. We are so excited to be rolling out our new product inventory this Spring, into forever.” The family-derived recipes originated with D’Amore’s great grandmother, “Big Mumma,” in Italy, and have been perfected over time in California using only local, USDA certified organic ingredients sourced with integrity. Seeking to deliver natural, delicious, and healthy pasta sauces to consumers nationwide, Pizza Girl has taken the extra step to protect our environment. “After seeing the amount of plastic used in this industry, from packaging to the use of plastic jars, we see it as our responsibility to be as environmentally conscious as possible,” said D’Amore. Pizza Girl’s sauces are bottled in glass jars, and they have chosen to partner with shipping companies that share their belief in sustainable, eco-friendly packaging inclusive of recycled materials. “Pizza Girl is for families to enjoy together,” D’Amore adds. “We need to ensure our planet is healthy so that future generations can continue to enjoy the earth’s natural bounty.” Perfect for home entertaining, a list of Caroline’s homemade favorite Pizza Girl sauce recipes will be found on their website online at www.PizzaGirl.com.
