wenty-nine years after releasing his debut album, Lenny Kravitz is still letting love rule, but with an eye towards societal strife that continues to go unchecked. The multi-Grammy award winning musician brings forth a conscious body of work with Raise Vibration, his eleventh studio album, out September 7th. The first single off the Raise Vibration album, It’s Enough, is a battle cry against corporate greed, political corruption and racism. Kravitz switches gears with his follow up single, Low, exploring the perils of his near-mythical sensuality with intonations alluding to his past intimate relationships. For Lenny Kravitz, the art of the story is paramount, while pop music trends are immaterial. He tells stories through his writing, vocals, and the multitude of instruments he has mastered over the years. Musically, Raise Vibration is an eclectic blend of the kind of stylistic rock n’ roll-funk sound that Kravitz is known for, with subtle nods to vintage R&B and choruses that sway towards pop appeal. His music puts you in a trance-like groove and defies all genre. Lenny Kravitz, the man, is a veritable roadmap of his past experiences. From making his way in an industry that doesn’t always value individuality, to making his way in a world that begged to define and categorize him by race and ethnicity in his formative years, he wears his memories on his sleeve and they inform much of his artistic expression. Our conversation surprised me as it took a more intimate turn. He and I delved into matters of spirituality, racial identity, family and the rituals that aide him in creating his eclectic sound. We were very much on the same page as he shared his feelings about everything from racism and societal injustice to his personal spiritual journey, his family and his music. Allison Kugel: You’ve said you were born to make music. Can you share your earliest memory where you became aware that music was going to be your life? Lenny Kravitz: “For me the pivotal moment was going to see The Jackson 5, live at Madison Square Garden, when I was six years old. I was in the first grade. I had already been intently listening to their record. But I went to the show, and the next morning that was it! I was completely sold. I knew that’s what I wanted to do.” What was it about The Jackson 5 that resonated with you? “Number one was the music. The music was incredible. The music that was made by these kids was not elementary, it wasn’t bubble gum as they used to say back then about young artists. This was very sophisticated, high-level music with the best musicians, the best producers, and [Michael] was one of the best singers who ever lived and who ever will live. The level of interpretation and feeling and vocal range… it was a perfect storm for me, the way everything came together. On top of the music, the presentation and the showmanship were top level and soulful, and these were people that I could identify with. They looked like me.

I had the same hair… there were so many things that came together in my mind.” When and where do you feel most creative and musical? “It could be anywhere, but it’s in the studio, so wherever that may be. My studio is in the Bahamas. It’s my favorite place to work; it’s my workshop. When I’m in the studio and I’ve got all my equipment and all my instruments, and everything is set up, that’s the magical place for me. It’s where I’m comfortable and where I can flow. When I’m inspired and in that flow, I can move. I jump around from instrument to instrument, and it’s wonderful. You are such a true musician in every sense of the word. Aside from singing, you play several instruments, and you write and produce. When you record your music, is it all you doing everything in the studio? Are you recording all of the instrumentals in addition to doing your vocals and producing? “Yes, I start on drums normally and then I go to a guitar, a bass, another guitar, keyboard, percussion… I keep layering as though I was painting, until my picture is complete.” Your upcoming album is called Raise Vibration and the first single, It’s Enough, is a call-to-action anthem about political corruption and social and racial injustice. Was writing It’s Enough a form of therapy for you, and a way of turning hopelessness into empowerment? Lenny Kravitz: I react to the world. I actually recorded the song twice. I was trying to find the direction for the record. The way the song started, the first version of It’s Enough was a full-on guitar, bass, drum, punk rock song. It had an angry tone to it, because that felt like the proper reaction. And then I thought about it and ended up changing it and finding this groove, which is the polar opposite of what it started out as. I found that by being calm and by being centered and by being quiet, it was more effective. It brought out a whole new feeling in the song, and I think it enables the listener to hear the lyrics even better. And you feel it brings more of a positive energy, as opposed to the original version, which would have brought forth anger. “Absolutely. I’m all about positive energy. I’m stating the facts, but in the end, I always take an optimistic and positive tone that, ‘People, we can do this!’ We can do it. It’s just a matter of waking up.” What does the title of your album, Raise Vibration, mean to you? And how do you raise your vibration? Do you meditate? Do you Pray? “It means exactly that; waking up. I meditate, I pray, I try to be still, I try to be quiet… and listen. It means having the desire to learn, to improve, and to face my faults and learn from them. I’m always looking to go higher. And taking as much ego out of myself as possible.”

Teremana combines two words that are meaningful: ‘Tere’ derived from the Latin ‘terra’ meaning earth, and ‘Mana’, the Polynesian word meaning spirit. Teremana is the “Spirit of the Earth’. Teremana is created in small batches, using only 100% mature blue weber agave from the Highlands of Jalisco. Their agave is only harvested when it reaches peak maturity, often taking between six to eight years. Teremana is distilled by using small handmade copper pot stills created by a local artisan. The nature of handmade copper stills dates back to the days of traditional tequila making and produces a cleaner, brighter tequila. At Teremana, sustainability is taken very seriously, and they work to reduce their impact on the land. They take the leftover agave fibers from production to create a natural compost that is used as an organic fertilizer for the agave fields. Also, a state-of-the-art water filtration system is utilized to clean the waste-water leftover from production. At Teremana, they will continue to strive to reduce their footprint and to take care of their home for generations to come. Teremana is crafted as an ultra-premium sipping tequila to be served neat or on the rocks. ’ve always been an artist at heart with a passion to create and design. After I found success in modeling and acting, I wanted to do something to give back while also following my passions. Creating Naked Species was such an organic next move. Inspired by the beauty of nature, I combined my love for earth’s creatures and my passion for design into a unique clothing brand that gives back. Having my sister Gina as my business partner makes it even more special; she compliments me in the business aspect of the brand. What I am most proud of is the message behind Naked Species, which is to raise awareness though art while protecting the most vulnerable endangered species. I’m so blessed to have the platform that I have and to be able to reach so many people! With that, I feel an even bigger responsibility to use my voice for good.

As we’re all learning to navigate this new normal, one thing that is here to stay is a demand for comfort as much as style in the clothing we choose. The Naked Species design concept is about creating edgy pieces that are “Basics” yet not so basic, with comfort built into everything we do. My next collection is no exception; I’ve been so inspired by the rainforest where many of these beautiful species reside. From the texture of the leaves, to the color of a tree, to the shapes of a branch. You’ll see this incorporated into our next pieces from the colors, the fabrics and the pattern. The Wild Tomorrow Fund, is a charity dear to my heart. Gina and I really wanted to partner with a foundation that has a sense of urgency to act, protect and create solutions to the endangered animals. The Wild Tomorrow Fund, are actively working hard in the field to put a stop to poachers and helping to train the locals on maintaining these efforts. They are even buying land for rhinos and elephants to run free without risk! Giving a portion of our sales to support them felt absolutely right, natural and such a blessing to do so.

iving a very free spirited, bohemian upbringing in Berkeley, California, raised by artists and activists, connected to nature, I’d never seen a diamond in person until I started modeling in Paris in 1991, when my love of fine jewelry began. I hadn’t thought much about jewelry settings until I saw loose diamonds for the first time. Then it seemed to me that the only thing that detracted from a perfect diamond was a clunky setting. I began fantasizing about diamonds without settings and wondered if it was even possible and it wasn’t – the technology wasn’t there. Fast forward to 2018, I found the manufacturers who were able to execute – a delicate gold chain with a perfect solitaire diamond hanging, no setting whatsoever. It was the floating diamond I’ve searched for. As I learned about the technology of laser piercing diamonds, I immediately started sketching my designs.

My debut Charlie Dolly floating diamond collection (named after my daughters, a couple of loose diamonds themselves) is both luxe and bohemian. I like to think of my collection as “casual” diamonds with a modern edginess that mixes beautifully with other pieces and becomes personal, dressed up or down. On a practical note, it’s comfortable and simple enough to live in, sleep in, go to the gym in, shower in, wear headphones over. The truth is, I don’t wear jewelry if I have to take it all off and put it all back on every day. It is modern tennis jewelry. It stays on. eslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted Tony and Grammy Award-winning performer - spanning Broadway, television, film and music. Leslie has an array of projects on the forefront, including reimagined classics and originals on The Christmas Album, and collaborations with Sia. What has been the most impactful lesson you’ve learned in your career? Before you quit, ask yourself if you’ve really tried everything. Holding on. Persevering is half the battle. Who/what has influenced your tenacious drive for success? I think it was instilled in me as a boy in some way. I resented being controlled. When I was finally given the reins once I entered adulthood, when I got ahold of my autonomy, I took responsibility for my own happiness and fulfillment. That is my success--the only success that matters anyway.

Tell us about your new music with Sia. What was that creative process like for your song together, “Cold”? I got to work with Sia on her debut full length feature film (out next year) called Music. I met her producing partner Jesse Shatkin on that project as well. When Sia heard my latest album she left word for me that she loved the song. I asked her in a joking way if she would ever consider jumping on a remix of the song. To my surprise and great delight she said yes! What inspired you to reimagine holiday classics on The Christmas Album? I had no plans to record a Christmas album this year but as quarantine went on I was very eager to be creative again. We got our covid tests and got back in the studio as soon as we were able. I was imagining what people might be in need of at the end of such a strange and tumultuous year. I wanted to make an album that might feel like a gift to anyone who listens around the holidays.

How has the experience of putting an album out during this time differed from your past records? As creatives, we have to create and innovate out of a circumstance that isn’t ideal. There potentially won’t be any live performances associated with this release. That’s weird. Temporary! But weird. And unique to this project. Can you tell us a little more about the two original songs, “Snow” and “Heaven & Earth”? We wanted “Snow” to feel joyful. Full of joy! Musically, we wanted it to feel classic. Christmas is about tradition. If people connect to the music, they will hopefully pull the album down from the proverbial shelf and enjoy it each year with their families. We wanted to record and produce music that would age well! “Heaven & Earth” is the most personal on the record. Was thinking about the kinship between every new dad and Joseph. We’re all our own version of Joseph in that barn while we bear witness to women giving birth. There’s nothing more humbling than being witness to a miracle. As a musician, what is it like to take on the role of “The King of Soul”, Sam Cooke, in the upcoming movie One Night in Miami? Professionally, nothing has terrified me more. I was scared every single day of shooting. But there were moments of real exhilaration too. There were moments when I felt like I’d found my way into the same flow of the same stream. yler Ellis, the daughter of the iconic fashion designer Perry Ellis and Hollywood TV writer and executive Barbara Gallagher, launched her eponymous luxury accessories brand in 2011. Her season-less designs balance luxury and function with a timeless elegance. As a result, Tyler’s handbags have become a mainstay on Hollywood’s international red carpets. “My dad passed away when I was 18 months old, so I have no personal memories of him,” Tyler says. “But after researching his life and hearing personal stories from my mom and his peers, I see so many similarities between me and my father. He was a very private man who took his career extremely seriously, dreaming big and striving for nothing but the best. Yet what he loved most was spending time with close friends and family, sharing funny stories over delicious food and fine wine…enjoying life. Unique points of view I find innate in me.” Tyler’s creations are brought to life by multigenerational artisans outside of Florence, Italy. Each bag is constructed by hand, with made to order and customizable options available. Tyler Ellis represents an impassioned commitment to couture and the

highest quality craftsmanship garnering the brand a global following. How did handbags become your chosen focus of fashion expertise? I have always loved accessories, specifically handbags, but what pushed me towards designing my own label was that I found women all over the world carrying the same few luxury labels. This inspired me to set out to create unique products with the same exquisite quality of the established houses, but with the charm of a boutique brand. What inspires your unique and bold designs? Unlike most emerging brands, I’m not designing for the next fleeting trend, but rather to slowly and steadily build the foundation for my legacy. Luxury labels don’t pop up overnight, they take years to form by defining their own unique brand DNA, gaining consumer trust and industry respect. My seasonless collections are named after significant places, not the typical fashion calendar, because I design timeless shapes that are not solely of or for the moment, but silhouettes that are meant to remain relevant for generations to come.

What is your creative process when designing a new bag? My inspirations for new designs come at random times from all aspects of my life and travels. The Stella Handbag, a silhouette I introduced this spring was inspired by a vintage fireplace bellow (shaped like an accordion) that I noticed while watching a movie. I immediately scribbled down a sketch and a note to research the shape. In the next few days I worked to perfect my sketch. I then emailed it, along with my desired dimensions and any visuals that help further express my vision to my factory in Italy. There they begin the process by hand cutting a new pattern out of thick construction paper that serves as the guide for the new design. A sample is then hand constructed in Salpa, a soft cardboard like material, that is sent to me for any corrections. Once approved by me, a leather version is made, which me or a member of my team will then use in order to make sure all aspects of the bag function properly before releasing my new design. How would you describe your new collection? Each season I select skins and textiles that speak to me and this year there were two standouts that drove my collection, Peacock lizard and Kryptonite python. These skins brought me back in time to a Chateau outside of Lyon, France. When I stepped into that garden I remember gazing off into the spectacular field of green, and for a moment not having a care in the world. The Lyon Collection is inspired by Mother Nature’s inherent gifts to society, which I bring to life in my artisanal silhouettes. Whimsical feathers represent trees blowing in the wind, glistening Bohemian Emerald Swarovski crystals mimic dew drops on the deep green leaves, the Kryptonite python highlights the sun’s reflection off the bright green grass and the Sapphire antiqued leathers serve as the subtle sparkle of the nights sky. Our lives are filled with so much chaos, never forget to stop for a moment and take in the unbelievable natural beauty the Earth creates for us, especially in this difficult year impacted by COVID.

Inspired by Lyon’s serene, historic countryside, Tyler Ellis’ Fall 2020 collection highlights nature’s inherent beauty by embodying its vibrant hues. From unique silhouettes embellished in sparkling Swarovski crystals to exotics reminiscent of the rich hues of a Peacock’s feathers, these are eye-catching designs that will resonate for generations to come. Structured architectural shapes are softened with radiant metallic hides and custom metal accents, while classic styles are emboldened with an electric emerald palette. The French countryside’s tranquil atmosphere allows one to step back and enjoy all of nature’s incredible gifts to humanity.

On a trip to Vatican City, Tyler came across the Fontana della Pigna, the iconic bronze statue that sits in Pigna Court, which is the inspiration behind the pinecone that has become the spirit behind the Ellis brand. Pinecones embody the ancient symbol of the third eye, representing the highest form of spiritual awakening, perfection and much more. The symbol can be found throughout historic art and architecture, from the tops of Pharaoh’s staffs, to unique decorations on European dwellings. Pinecones adorn the zippers, feet and fasteners of many of Tyler’s designs. These gorgeous details went through multiple hand carved wax castings to create our signature pinecone.

Nestled between a rushing river and ripe vineyards, Tyler’s designs are handmade at a multi-generational factory in Le Sieci, Italy. The intricate production process takes between two and three days to construct each handcrafted piece depending upon design details and the materials used. Satins and crushed velvets are manually backed to provide extra stability, leathers and skins are cut by hand to ensure ultimate precision and Swarovski crystals are heat-stamped on to obtain maximum durability. From the beautifully hand-stitched accents to the meticulously hand-painted edges to the eyecatching hardware customized for each design, the highly trained native artisans utilize their honed skills to bring Tyler’s visions to life.

For the Winter 2020/2021 Tyler Ellis has collaborated with Las Ventanas al Paraiso, the upscale Rosewood Resort in Los Cabos. ast July, Creative Director Alessandro Michele opened the final chapter of a three-part tale of subversion – one of shifting the gaze and questioning the rules, roles and liturgies that have come to define fashion as we know it. On that occasion, a twelve-hour live stream framed a narrative feature, revealing to the outside world what usually lies behind closed curtains. Here, throughout the course of one day, the Gucci design team became the hectic cast of models, captured on camera while patiently posing on set. That intense shooting day paved the way to the campaign that is now presented. Set within two contrasting Roman locations, the grandiose, late-Mannerist Palazzo Sacchetti and the distressed, graffiti-covered Campo Boario area, the pictures bring together the Gucci design team, which worked with Alessandro Michele on the very same collection they are wearing, under a poetic play of juxtapositions and perspectives.

In an open dialogue between the external decadence and the personal extroversion of these two seemingly irreconcilable spaces, these usually anonymous faces come and go between their onset tasks in the palazzo and the ramshackle squat. By doing so, they present a theatrical allegory that reconciles the real and the surreal, reflecting on the relationship between fashion fictional imagery and the reality of its productions. In the words of Creative Director Alessandro Michele: “I brought together different things, which represent the messy beauty that I have always

sought: the chaos of beauty. What happens to the relation between reality and fiction when prying eyes sneak into the mechanisms of the production of an image? What happens to fashion, when the true goes back to being just a moment of the false? Breaking the spell that forces my collaborators to passionately work on clothes they later have to abandon, I asked the team to wear them. And so we did a self-sufficient job, all inside our house, mixing things we had already done with things we were about to – overcoming the schemes of the time coherently with my idea of The Epilogue, the final resolution of a future that is largely present”.

Shot by Minneapolisbased photographer Alec Soth and filmed by Roman directors Damiano and Fabio D’Innocenzo, winners of the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival’s Silver Bear for Best Screenplay, the campaign leads to the conclusion of the narrative arc that began in February with the An Unrepeatable Ritual show, when Alessandro Michele brought the backstage preparations to the center stage. The tale continued in May, with the release of The Ritual campaign, a radical experimentation that blurred the lines between models and authors in search of a spontaneous, unpredicted idea of beauty. Now, following July’s live-streamed presentation, this fairy tale eventually finds its Epilogue.

The 18k black gold heart is set with white diamonds on the front and black diamonds on the reverse side. It is engraved in latin with “Mihi Avro Adamas” — “dearer to me than diamonds.”

The first feminine complication from Christophe Claret, designed and developed within the Manufacture, magnificently reproduces the random unpredictability of nature and appears in a delightfully gentle new version. Christophe Claret devotes particular attention to women, offering them a full-fledged collection composed of complications exclusively crafted with them in mind. Building on the success achieved by the Margot watch in the 2014 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Christophe Claret has dreamed up various precious and poetic combinations composing a whole new definition of refinement. After naturally blue or pink-tinged mother-of-pearl gracing the dial and baguette-cut diamonds or snow-set brilliant-cut diamonds sparkling on the bezel and lugs,

Margot now reveals a dark blue mother-of-pearl dial framed by grain setting on its bezel and lugs. This particular technique uses stones of an intermediate size compared with the two settings on the previous versions. Three pearshaped diamonds indicating 3, 6 and 9 o’clock add infuse the scene with a sense of poetry. The 12 petals in titanium and satinbrushed white lacquer embrace a natural red ruby pistil, swept over by a pair of blue-tipped stainless steel hands delicately rounded by hand. The twin-layered corolla intensifies the depth effect of this eminently dainty dial. The strap now appears clothed in velvet-touch blue alligator leather that feels like a second skin. The Tonda 1950 Moonbow draws inspiration from two phenomena only apparent to a careful observer and re-imagines a lunar rainbow, or moonbow, on the bezel and a spiral galaxy on the dial. Its flying tourbillon is reminiscent of a spiral galaxy and dances amid celestial beings on an aventurine sky, carefully placed at seven o’clock, a nod to Michel Parmigiani’s birth on December 2, 1950 at 7:08 am. The development of an ultra-thin tourbillon movement is a challenge for any watchmaker. Parmigiani Fleurier found a solution by integrating a platinum micro-rotor into the plate of the movement, resulting in a caliber only 3.4 mm thick. In addition, it is hand-finished with the most admirable decorations in the brand’s manufacture. This magnificent example of mechanical engineering is further highlighted by a bezel featuring a colorful array of precious stones representing a moonbow, a nocturnal weather phenomenon rarely seen. Incredible care went into the selection of the finest stones, each in the perfect hue, to offer a truly gradient rainbow, with subtle changes in between colors. The meticulous art

of setting them required dozens of hours of painstaking and precise craftsmanship. Blue, pink, orange and yellow sapphires, rubies, tsavorites, and amethysts make up the 40 baguette-cut gemstones seen on the bezel and weighing 2.59 carats. When Michel Parmigiani founded his restoration workshop in 1976, he did not imagine that, 20 years later, it would be at the heart of a watch brand bearing his name. Parmigiani Fleurier’s achievements are continuously inspired by lessons of the past, and offer new solutions to historical, technical challenges. The restoration of a songbird cage, with fountain and flute sets, dating from the early 19th century, is a great example. The cage is suspended in the air by a clock on its base and features a dial that can only be seen from below. According to historical records, aventurine glass was once used to decorate the panels of this clock but went missing in the past and was replaced by blue metallic paint. As a result, and in order to avoid similar damage in the future, Michel Parmigiani decided to use this beautiful material for its dials only. The sapphire crystal acts as its keeper and protector.

Just in time for the festive season, Corum is showcasing two sizes of its Golden Bridge with a new “snow� setting. Made exclusively of diamonds, the snow setting involves arranging a random number of diamonds of all sizes in such a way that together, they cover up the entirety of the metal. It is a high-level jewelry practice for two reasons. Firstly, the meticulous choice of the placement of each diamond. Though each one is different, they must still be as close to one another as possible, interlocking to the micron so the edges are almost touching. There is thus no consistency in this task, one which breaks away from the mechanics of brilliant and baguette cuts where all the diamonds are interchangeable. In a snow setting, it is the setter’s own experience and daring which are at play. Each diamond is individually chosen and placed. The final composition is similar to a fresco or an expressionist painting, featuring many diamonds set individually and creating, together, the coherent image of a whole. Next, there is the setting itself. As each diamond has a unique size, so too must each claw used in the setting. It is a task requiring extreme precision which prevents the setting from being standardized, as each claw is individually worked to set its diamond and it alone, making each piece unique.

Two models will be available in the snow setting: the larger Golden Bridge and the smaller Miss Golden Bridge. Each case is fully set, including the crown, giving a unique glimmer to the baguette movement which stretches up and down the case and is entirely visible through the anti-reflective double sapphire crystal. Each piece will be released in white gold and pink gold. The Golden Bridge will have a total of 314 diamonds with 245 diamonds for the Miss Golden Bridge, representing 2.68 ct and 1.28 ct respectively. or actress Taylor Cole, golf, much like acting, isn’t just a passion, it’s a way of life. “I fell in love with golf before I fell in love with acting, although I found both by accident,” says Cole. “I grew up with my dad, so when I was little, I asked for a Barbie, but he instead got me golf clubs.” It wasn’t long before Cole had forgotten about the dollhouse and found herself in the clubhouse. “Everyone said I had a natural swing and when I went to golf camp I discovered I thrived in the competition based games. Closest to the pin, chipping and putting contests. I was hooked.” At least for a little while, but soon golf, like many activities for multi-talented teens, became as neglected as a dusty 7 wood. “I was more interested in working on my golf cart driving skills over my swing skills. I was also playing competitive volleyball and traveling the world for modeling. But when I tore my ACL in preseason of my senior year, I moved to New York City to focus on my modeling career fulltime and soon after that, while visiting my mom in Los Angeles I landed my first television show, SUMMERLAND.” It was at this point that Cole’s acting career really took off starring in tv shows like Supernatural, The Event, CSI: MIAMI, and The Originals. “Unfortunately for my game, I was acting so much, I just didn’t have the time for golf. I also had out-grown my kid-clubs so I’d have to rent which always makes playing more of a challenge.” But a fateful visit back home to Texas led to a trip to the driving range where her dad surprised her with a new set of Mizuno clubs. “I fell in love with the lightweight of the graphite shaft paired with the weighted club head. Clubs had come a long way from when I was a kid. I’d forgotten how satisfying the sweet kiss of a good shot could be.”

Still even with the new set of sticks, Cole says she only played a handful of times over the next few years. “It wasn’t until I started acting regularly in Hallmark Channel movies that I even thought about playing more golf. I was meeting so many people that played, the desire to hit the links was building in me like crazy, but my access was limited.” That all changed when Cole moved to Lake Tahoe in 2019. “I moved to Tahoe to be more in nature, and I am always enamored by how jaw-dropping a backdrop the Lake Tahoe/ Truckee, Reno, and Carson Valley region is no matter the club you play. There are so many courses in the area and they all display a vast variety of stunning landscapes, it just made me want to be outside and play more than I ever had before. When I’m out on the links, surrounded by everything I love, there isn’t an amount of bad shots that can ruin my round or my day. It’s just a great way to get outside, meet new people, and travel as well.” Since she’s moved to Tahoe, she’s also made it her mission to see as many golf courses in the area as possible, from beginner to private members only clubs. “Some of the most memorable I’ve played are Grays Crossing, Schaffer’s Mill, Old Brockway, Tahoe City Golf Course, Lake Tahoe Golf Course, Edgewood Tahoe, Clear Creek Tahoe, Genoa Lakes, Toiyabe Golf Club to name a few.”

In fact this renewed enthusiasm for the game has led Cole to play in a few influencer and media golf tours. It’s even inspired a few story lines in her movie mystery series, THE RUBY HERRING MYSTERIES on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel. “I was posting so many pictures and writing about things to do while visiting Tahoe, it caught the eye Ruby Herring’s creator and Dateline’s own, Andrea Canning. Actually it was her husband, who’s an avid golfer, who convinced her to add in the golfing storyline, but I’m so glad she did. I hope it brings in a new fan-base to the sport and the movie, and someday I’d love to do a fully golf-themed film. So fun to share my love of the sport on and off the screen!” Once again it seems golf had found its way not only into Cole’s personal life but her work life as well!

he Host of Eat Travel Rock TV, entertaining expert and wife of Bob Saget (they tied the knot two years ago), keeps herself busy whipping up recipes for all occasions, in between her travel endeavors and production company. You’ll likely find Kelly Rizzo behind the scenes and off the cuff with famous chefs, musicians and industry heavyweights as host of the award-winning entertainment series Eat Travel Rock TV. Kelly’s passion-turnedprofession always brings the best food, travel and music together in rockstar fashion. She also recently launched Eat Travel Rock Productions which has been creating food and beverage packages for restaurants and bars reopening from Covid-19 closures. Kelly Rizzo’s Italian Chili (Bob’s Favorite) Ingredients: Olive oil 1 large zucchini chopped into small cubes 1 cup baby Bella mushrooms, chopped 1 half onion, chopped 2 large cloves of garlic, minced Salt and Pepper 3 links of spicy Italian turkey sausage, casings removed, crumbled OR Beyond Meat Spicy Italian Sausage 2 Cans Cannellini beans 1 can San Marzano tomatoes 1/2 tsp Garlic powder 1/4 tsp Crushed red chili flakes 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (or oregano) Basil - 5 large leaves, chopped for garnish Ricotta cheese (can use part skim) 1/4 cup of The Jersey Tomato Co. sauce in Spicy flavor Directions: 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a dutch oven over medium high heat. 2. Sauté the zucchini for 1 min then add the mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 1 more min and then crumble the sausage (removed from casing) into the pot. Stir until browned. 3. Turn heat to medium. Add the 2 cans of beans and can of tomatoes in sauce (crush tomatoes if they’re whole). Add garlic powder, chili flakes, Italian seasoning and season again with salt and pepper. 4. Cover and cook on low-simmer for at least 30 min. Serve into 4 bowls and garnish with basil and ricotta. Makes 2-4 servings

Kelly’s Festive Fall Pasta Ingredients: 1/2 lb.Butternut squash pasta (or any kind of pasta) 1 package sliced mushrooms 1/3 cup veggie or chicken stock 1 tbsp butter 1.5 cups cubed butternut squash 1/2 shallot 2 cloves garlic Sage (5-6 leaves) 1/2 cup Goat cheese or blue cheese 1.5 cups Arugula Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2. Place butternut squash on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper 3.Roast for 40 min or until golden brown and soft 4. In a skillet over medium high heat, cook butter with the sage for 1 min then add the mushrooms and shallots and season with salt and pepper, add 1/3 cup veggie or chicken stock, turn down to medium heat, and cook a bit longer. Check seasoning and adjust as necessary. 5. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente 6. Add the roasted squash to the skillet and stir to coat. Add pasta and 1/4 cup reserved pasta water. Stir until well combined and sauce thickens a bit. Turn on heat and add arugula and stir to combine until lightly wilted. Crumble goat (or blue) cheese on top and gently stir to lightly mix. Serve and enjoy! Makes 2-3 servings

Hearty Italian Tacos Ingredients: 6 flour tortillas 1 package Beyond Meat Vegan Hot Italian Sausage or Hot Italian turkey/chicken sausage ½ onion finely diced ½ cup mushrooms chopped 1 medium zucchini diced ½ cup ricotta cheese ⅓ cup pecorino cheese 1 cup arugula Fresh basil, chiffonade Hot giardiniera Olive oil Directions: 1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over mediumhigh heat. Sauté onion, mushrooms and zucchini for 1 minute. 2. Add sausage (the vegan sausage can be added directly to pan, turkey or chicken sausage must be removed from its casing.) 3. Mash sausage in the pan and flatten and brown it until it begins to crumble. 4. Mix it in with the veggies and cook together for about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. 5. Once cooked and all crumbled together, turn off heat. 6. Take tortillas and wrap them in damp paper towels and cook in microwave to steam them (about 50 seconds). 6.Fill each tortilla with meat mixture and top with arugula, basil, ricotta, pecorino and hot giardiniera to taste. 7. ujit Kundu is the founder and CEO of SKAM Artist, a full-service agency, initially specializing in DJs. The agency has since evolved beyond the DJ world, boasting a large roster of talent across the entertainment space. His company also has a sister company, SKAM Division, a full service promotion, music label and marketing company that focuses on radio programming; coordinating getting the hottest new music tracks on radio airwaves and across music streaming platforms. Skam Division’s latest release on the label side is “Twerking in the Mirror” by the Ying Yang Twins, a collaboration between Kundu and his longtime client Lil Jon. Despite the pandemic, SKAM Division on the promotion side continues to make waves in the music world, with track releases by clients like Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Curtis Waters, Russ, Internet Money, French Montana and many more continuing to hit airwaves. Kundu continues to be a force in the ever changing music industry space, and with over 20 years of experience Sujit knows how to successfully navigate through the evolution of the music industry. COVID-19 was an unexpected shift in the industry but that has not stopped the demand for SKAM Artist DJs during quarantine, with his roster of clients regularly on Twitch and guest DJ sets across digital platforms.In 2019, Kundu was featured in Billboard, “Spotlight: SKAM Artists’ Sujit Kundu Is Hustling for Lil Jon, Pete Wentz, Amber Rose & the ‘BlueCollar’ DJs.” Growing up in Fullerton, CA, Kundu frequented various raves and house parties that were thrown by what would become today’s biggest music industry professionals, immersing

himself in the music scene early on. Believing that there could be more potential with these raves and events, he started to dabble in promoting and party planning, slowly throwing his own events by the early age of 15-years-old, before he could even drive. His very first party didn’t go as expected and was a complete fail. In order to right his wrong, he ended up working with one of the investors for free in order to pay them back. This didn’t discourage Kundu, he grew more focused and continued throwing parties and building a loyal following. Following high school, Sujit enrolled at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) where he majored in Economics and Accounting. Upon arrival at college his plan was to focus on school and follow his parent’s dreams of him becoming a doctor but he quickly realized he didn’t have the commitment to get the grades to accomplish that. His attention shifted back from school to promoting events and he quickly noticed that the Santa Barbara nightlife scene was wide open and went right back to throwing parties. With the saturation of raves and bad promoters, the emergence of hip hop he quickly changed the type of events he threw and turned his focus more on hip hop. - In order to book acts, he would look on the back of cd covers for management or record company info and would cold call them. His main venue was a pool hall called Sticks that he converted into a club and had acts such as Redman, KRS-One, Rappin 4 Tay, Dru Down, Mobb Deep and more. Upon graduating, Kundu had to make the choice that many students face choosing between getting a corporate job based on his major or continuing to throw events, he chose the latter. As hip hop culture developed so did opportunities with record companies to provide street team, radio and marketing services as an independent contractor.

While in Santa Barbara, he met Damion Young who was the Music Director of Y97 and they quickly became friends and business partners. Young went on to become the Music Director at LA’s Power 106, where he and Sujit teamed up to form a production and DJ management company. As a production company and label, they landed a top ten radio hit with Shade Sheist’s “Where I Wanna Be” and produced songs for the biggest names in music including Mariah Carey, Ja Rule, Nate Dogg, just to name a few. After an amicable split with his business partner Damion, his production/ management company disbanded; Damion kept the production arm of the company, and Kundu kept the DJ management side, renaming it to SKAM. (Sujit Kundu Artist Management).

After being at Universal Motown for 7 years, it went on to merge into Republic Records and Kundu was once again let go. With his hustlerlike mentality, he focused his full time attention to SKAM, and while continuing to book djs added tour manager responsibilities for Pitbull at the height of his career and Afrojack and more.

Following the launch of SKAM, Charles Chavez, who he met at MCA while working with Damion and Shade Sheist, got him a job at MCA Records where he held a radio promotion position, providing his first experience working for a major record label. His tenure with MCA Records was short. MCA ended up merging into Geffen Records and then merged with Interscope Records. Ultimately Kundu was let go.

He left Epic on his own to spend the next two years with L.A. Reid to launch Hitco Entertainment, where he was a consultant on radio promotion via his sister company, Skam Division, which focuses on radio promotion services. At Hitco he worked with artists such as Saint Jhn, Yella Beezy and Dinah Jane who he had already worked with at Epic via Fifth Harmony.

Kundu was then offered the position of Universal Motown heading up their national crossover promotions division and quickly relocated to NYC to work out of the main office and was promoted Senior Vice President. At Universal, Kundu worked with Lil Wayne on his album Carter III, which sold 1 million copies in the first week, Drake’s first release, Nikki Minaj, Nelly, Akon, David Banner and more.

Sujit was then offered a position at EPIC Records by record executive, L.A. Reid, where he landed the role of Senior VP of Promotions, where he stayed for four years. The last two years at Epic Records, he scored 15-number one records from the largest names in the industry including, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, Future, Camila Cabello, Meghan Trainor and more; many of whom remain his clients to this day
