The transmitters and transposers in this series are characterized by high performance and capability and by excellent linearity over the entire working band thanks to the optimization of the RF circuits. A high degree of reliability is guaranteed, by the use of oversized cooling devices and by control circuits operated by modern microprocessor technologies. All of the on-board microprocessors can be reprogrammed from the frontal panel with the help of a PC. From the same panel it is possible to display and change more than 50 parameters of the transmitter, stored into a non-volatile memory. For analog parameters, the transmitter displays both the current value and the factory setting. All of the parameters which can be read and set from the display can also be controlled from remote trough the RS232 connector on the front panel or the RS485 on the rear one. The main parameters and the on/off status of the transmitter can also be controlled in a wired way through the telemetering connector on the rear panel.
These units are used as low-power transmitters or transposers or as driver stages for amplifiers of higher power and are available in 15W versions. The excellent spectral purity of the conversion oscillator gives these units an excellent signal/noise ratio of the radiated signal. The units are equipped with an input connector for a 5MHz or 10MHz external reference signal. The OFFSET option allows frequency shifts in 1Hz (CCIR) or 0.999000999Hz (FCC) steps for operation in "precision offset" or "isofrequency" mode in the various television standards. The AUDIO STEREO option allows to have stereo and dual sound audio input. The EXTERNAL REFERENCE option allows have internal high-precision frequency reference. The OUTPUT FILTER option allows to reduce the out-of-band signals. The MONOSCOPE option allows have internally generated, fixed but programmable video and audio pattern.

The DVB-T/H TRANSMITTER is the newest and best solution for low, medium and high power DVB-T and DVB-H broadcasting in terms of performances and price. It represents the fundamental block to implement the RF channel modulation for Digital Video Broadcasting targeting fixed, mobile and handheld receivers. MAIA is the outstanding, latest-generation Elettronika multi-standard platform for the transmission of a Digital TV or Digital Radio signal up to a power of 100W RMS in a compact and nice looking equipment. In the dynaMAIA version a high-end Digital Adaptive Predistortion (DAP) engine allows any Digital Transmitter to be operated at its maximum possible power level and, at the same time, widely exceeding the minimum requirements of the official recommendations. With DAP, the transmitter output is constantly monitored and adjusted to guarantee the maximum coverage in any operating condition. An optional embedded GPS receiver allows perfect SFN operation for the standards supporting single frequency network modes.
The new MAIA Platform is also available in Repeater and Gap Filler (with excellent Echo Canceller for SFN operation) versions and, in all the existing configurations, is controllable by PC through direct or remote connection by means of the renowned Elettronika RCU. Using an optional board, a powerful and appealing Web GUI, together with a robust SNMP control support, allow easy access to the exciter's control system by any wired or wireless network connection and a standard web browser over a PC, laptop, netbook or smartphone. Other options are offered over the MAIA platform: a Gigabit Ethernet board for ASI over IP management, a DVB-S/S2 receiver for satellite or microwave link TS delivery and a DVB-T receiver for digital terrestrial channel data stream reception. The MPEG-4 HD ENCODER DUO is the latest-generation, compact, versatile Digital HD Video Platform offered by Elettronika for the new demanding applications of Digital TV, joining the unsurpassed video performance of the full HD resolution with the excellent compression capability of the MPEG-4 encoding engine. In a single 1RU case, the MPEG-4 HD ENCODER DUO combines two Full-HD H.264 AVC High Profile encoders, a TS remultiplexer, two logo inserters, a multi-standard SI tables generation, two colour bar generators and a powerful highspeed multimedia processor for monitoring and user's interface. The product is based upon a powerful encoding chipset capable of real-time encoding of two Full-HD sources with a supreme detail definition obtained with a userdefinable output bit-rate. An ASI input allows the reception of externally generated TV and/or Radio Services and a complete PID filtering and SI Tables management engine allows a detailed analysis of the incoming stream and a totally flexible management of the remultiplexing
with the locally encoded services. The remultiplexing kernel of the MPEG-4 HD ENCODER DUO allows the generation of DVB or ATSC tables (user configurable) and the management of the Logical Channel Number (LCN) descriptor, fundamental for many Countries adopting this standard sorting technique. The powerful on-board processor allows direct cascading of more encoder units, complete firmware upgrade by simple serial connection, static and animated logos generation and extremely accurate PCR restamping for perfect timing reconstruction. The amplifiers in 'TV High Power amplifiers' series are designed to simplify transport and installation, ensuring high working reliability. The high modularity, high power density, low weight, satisfy the most demanding installations. Furthermore, the high efficiency allows a very low operative cost. Thanks to the high linearity of the amplifiers, achieved with the use of latest 50V LDMOS devices technologies the performance with analogue and digital TV signals are excellent. The cooling of the amplifiers is guaranteed by an extremely noiseless forced air cooling system. The presence of a Control Unit that collects all measures from amplifiers and from antenna system ensure a single control point to access to all MOSFET currents, power supplies voltages, temperatures of the heat sinks, amplifiers output powers together with the RF power reading of the output antenna system. A multifunction display on the Control Unit makes it possible to verify all the operating parameters of the unit. The amplifiers in the series are remotable by wired telemetry connector or by serial communication, or with optional Web Server and SNMP interface.

The new amplifiers DAT (Digital Amplifier Technology) series are designed to meet the highest RF performance request on the market. Using the latest high-voltage LDMOS technologies, they achieve excellent performance in linearity, RF power and efficiency. Designed for digital signal (DVB / ATSC), they can be used with top class performance also with analogue standards. Custom warnings thresholds can be set, so the operator can be called before a more serious alarm occurs (for example, when the output power decreases below a threshold). Up to 100 events, among the most important, can be stored in a non-volatile memory for a future analysis by the operator. These events include switching on and off (by mains, by front buttons or remote control), alarms and warnings. Thanks to a latest-generation microprocessor, the control board is implemented without any "trimmer" adjustment point. Every control and setting is performed directly on the front panel graphical display. A standard analogue interface and serial port are available to allow remote control of all the parameters of the unit. The amplifiers are cooled with a powerful

and noiseless blower. Latest switching-mode power supply helps to reach extreme amplifier efficiency, accompanied with a power factor close to one in every load condition. The units are available with different RF gain options. The standard version, with lower gain simplifies the multiple drawers paralleling operations, making easy future power upgrade. The higher gain option allows a direct digital modulator with 0dBm output power level driving. In this last case, a sophisticated ALC algorithm, maintains stable the output level, compensating the variations of the amplifier gain due to temperature and the input level variations. The Reflected Output power and temperature FOLD-BACK algorithm can be activated from the front panel. The highest power, 500W rms is available in 4U, aluminium 19" cabinet, with only 35kg weight. The amplifiers are wideband RF, and available in single phase and three phase system.

The DIGITAL TV LINK is Elettronika's latest solution for digital microwave distribution networks, it provides great flexibility together with an extreme simplicity of operation and offers a highly stable digital modulation core capable of adapting the RF bandwidth allocation to the input Transport Stream rate. It provides an optimal and costeffective solution to build high data-rate digital terrestrial microwave links and digital satellite uplinks for TV distribution networks. The Elettronika DIGITAL TV LINK is a system composed by a Digital Transmitter and a Digital Receiver, operating with DVBASI input/output interface and available on all the standard RF bands for terrestrial microwave operation. It has been accurately developed for point-topoint fixed radio links of high-quality TV signals for broadcasting applications. The Transmitter can be configured as a fully indoor equipment or with a microwave aerial head of easy installation connected with an indoor unit containing the digital modulation

system. The Receiver can also be configured as a fully indoor equipment or with a microwave aerial head connected with an indoor unit containing the AGC system and the digital demodulation system. Thanks to the use of standard IF frequency, these units can be used together with every standard model of microwave up-converter, allowing easy integration with already existing RF systems. The transmitted signal is on ASI format, universally used in the DVB world as transport interface of Transport Stream (TS). Elettronika equipment are severely tested with highly accurate and professional laboratory and are guaranteed by the ISO-9001 Quality Certification which ensures a perfectly managed production phase. The MPX LINK E1 is an encoder decoder system for the transmission of a MPX audio signal over an E1 stream totally G.703 compliant. In the Encoder version the MPX audio signal is digitized and, after a highly accurate digital processing stage, it is adapted into a 2.048Mbit/s (E1) stream. The inverse operations are performed in the Decoder equipment which receives the E1 stream and returns the MPX audio analogue signal. No stereo decoding & re-encoding operations are executed in the MPX LINK E1 so the original audio quality is absolutely preserved without any kind of loss. The digital approach gives to MPX LINK E1 all the great advantages of the digital technology

The MIRA is a reference point for the global market of FM Transmitters. It was the first to have an extremely clear and simple built-in user interface, allowing to completely control the MIRA without any electromechanical device, simply by touching the screen with a finger. It was the first to include powerful management functions, such as the time scheduling of the output power to decrease consumption, for instance, at night, or the password to lock all programming operations, in order to prevent it to be used by unauthorized people. For what concerns audio performances, only one word is needed: "transparent". With a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB, the whole dynamic of the modern digital audio sources are reproduced with high fidelity.

With a crosstalk of 60dB there is no chance to "misunderstand" the source of the signals. The switching-type power supply automatically adapts itself to any input voltage from 80 to 260V. Finally, all functions can be remotely controlled, managing the MIRA from the network control centre. The DIGITAL AUDIO INPUT option allows the MIRA to have audio input according with three different standards (dip-switch selectable): AES/EBU for professional applications, S/PDIF used by consumer audio sources and TosLink on fiber optic.

The MIZAR FM Stereo Radio Transmitter is a reference point for the global market of FM Transmitters. The display on the front panel can indicate and change frequency, frequency step, forward and reflected power amplifier temperature, modulation level, alarms level, emphasis, remote enable. The rear panel contains XLR balanced inputs with input level controls, BNC for MPX output from internal stereo coder (if option is present), BNC for MPX input, 2 BNC for SCA operation. There is also a DB9 for wired external control and a DB9 for serial RS232 or RS485 (internally selectable) remote control. As far as audio performances are concerned, only one world is needed: "transparent". With a signal-to-noise ratio of 80dB,

The switching-type power supply automatically adapts itself to any input voltage from 80 to 260V.

The FM amplifier line of the DATxF family was designed with great care for consumption and bulk, oversizing all of the components: LDMOS, fans and power supply, thus expanding the redundance concept. The active devices belong to the 6th generation of LDMOS, very robust and with high gain, allowing to create very compact amplifiers. The switching power supply wide wide input range are tested to sustain network bursts up to 4kV. Greatly efficient, they assure a power factor close to one in any load condition. The heat dissipation in high-power models (3 and 5kW) is performed by high-quality, very quiet fans. The usage of a high-performance dissipator and the high efficiency of active devices allowed a remarkable decrease in weight, making transport and installation simpler. Designed to assure high reliability if
connected directly directly to an antenna system, these amplifiers are well-fit to a modular use in higherpower amplification systems. Effective software algorithms protect the equipment from any cause of breakdown. The output power is dinamically decreased to conservative values in case of environmental overheating or reflected power from the antenna system. The loads of the internal combiners are sized sto to work indefinitely even in unbalancing conditions, thus granting a continuous service without interruptions. A multi-function display allows to check at any moment all of the parameters of the amplifier and to adjust the output power. All of the functions of these amplifiers are remotable through RS485 serial interface, or optionally through SNMP protocol or WEB SERVER.

All this is possible thanks to the SMD technology used to produce the boards, as well as the design of all the sections with the newest and well-proven technologies allowing to grant uninterrupted functioning without problems, high selectivity and immunity to adjacent channels in the receiver and a higher audio quality.

All input/output connectors are mounted on the boards and all connections between boards are made by means of point-to-point multipolar connectors strongly reducing wiring and making the
device reliable and easy to maintain and repair. The power supply source is wide input range (90-250Vac) switching that is automatically switched to a 24V external battery to ensure continued functioning even in absence of power supplying. The user interface is 16Cx2R alphanumeric display allowing to monitor and change frequency, forward and reflected power (TX only), temperature (TX only), alarms level, modulation level, battery voltage and remote enable. All functions are remotely controllable by means of an RS232 or RS485 (internally selectable) interface, while a telemetry port allows to manage some fundamental functions.

The RCU (Remote Control Unit) manufactured by Elettronika S.r.l. allows to monitor a distant broadcasting station just as the operator were on site. There are four connection modes: direct cable connection (RS232 or USB), traditional telephone connection (PSTN), data connection GSM, Internet connection (dedicated software, web or SNMP). It is possible to check and modify any parameter of the TV and FM amplifiers (power, power supply, temperature, etc.), of the exciters (frequency, gain, ON/OFF status) and of the switches (transmitter in antenna) with simple and intuitive operations. In case of failure or breakdown, the RCU automatically informs the control centre by SMS or phone call. This way it is possible to be aware of the problem in time and perform a timely and effective intervention, limiting the inactivity period. Besides, the RCU allows to monitor the mains voltage and, should the power fail, can be automatically powered by a battery in order to send the SMS/phone call. RCU is oriented towards the remote
control of broadcasting equipment by Elettronika S.r.l., but it has enough flexibility to allow controlling other general-purpose devices. In fact, the RCU is provided with 3 analog inputs, 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs. It is also possible to set some userdefined rules allowing the RCU to automatically modify the output channels depending on the status of the inputs, with no operator intervention. By means of adequate sensors, it is possible to measure the humidity or air pressure (analog inputs), check the presence of fire- or intruderalarms (digital inputs) or turn on/off the air conditioning or a lamp (digital output). Besides, the outputs can be controlled manually, from remote or locally, or automatically, depending on the inputs. Having a hooter sound when an intruder-alarm is triggered, or turn on the air-conditioning when the temperature or humidity is too high, will be easy as sending a simple SMS. And if this is not enough, the input and outputs can be expanded by adding the GENIO option.

GENIO gives the possibility to expand the inputs and outputs of the RCU
The ERCoS (Elettronika Remote Control Software) is the Windows速 software to configure, monitor and modify from a simple remote transmitter to a large network of broadcasting equipment. Its operation is made easy by the intuitive graphic interface. It can be connected to the remote site by direct cable connection (RS232 o USB), telephone connection using any of the modem (GSM or PSTN) installed under the operating system, or through Internet connection. The network of Elettronika transmitter can be customized, it is possible to describe its composition, add backgrounds, group the stations, display their status and any alarm, browse a historical event log, turn on and off the devices or change their settings, all this from a remote PC. A detailed block diagram, including all real data downloaded during the connection, is displayed for any single device (modulator, amplifier, etc.). The ERCoS can be configured so that it automatically answers incoming calls from a remote RCU signalling an event (for instance a black-out). The information sent is automatically added to the event log, which is then open and displayed on the monitor on top of all windows. All operations are password-protected in order to prevent unauthorized people to change the settings of a remote transmitter. Only users knowing the relevant password can change the software configuration or the settings of a device. The AutoPolling function allows a periodic automatic check, at scheduled intervals, of the status of the whole transmitter network.
Any anomaly is always stored into the log. Last but not least, ERCoS language can be easily customised even by the end user.
