Description: CLASS group Coaching (MMCI) helps early childhood professionals engage with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) as they identify and understand the interactions that increase children’s learning and development. Participants will learn how to use the CLASS observation tool for considering teaching practices and guiding observations of classroom videos and real-life interactions.
Special Note: Be on time and attend all 12 sessions. Complete assigned ‘homework’ between sessions, including reflective planning and practice, viewing online resources, and participation in the online discussion forum. Maintain a 75% attention and participation rate during discussions and activities. Participants for this training MUST have access to high-speed Internet in order to access/view online resources and discussion forum.
OUTCOMES:
Develop a shared language to discuss effective interactions (know).
Develop a lens to notice effective interactions (View). Plan to increase the depth, duration, and frequency of interactions and current strength (do).

Description: This 4-day virtual learning event will be conducted on Zoom. It is designed to help teachers of all levels implement The Creative Curriculum for Preschool 6th Edition in their classroom. Teachers will become familiar with the 38 objectives for Development and Learning that inform every aspect of teaching. They will explore and practice using the knowledge-building volumes and daily resources. Through group discussions, activities, and homework assignments, teachers will learn how to implement a study, use Teaching Guides, create a lesson plan, and discover how to integrate content into daily events through intentional teaching experiences.
Special Note: Early Childhood Practitioners who register for this course should be employed in a program in which The Creative Curriculum for Preschool Sixth Edition has been purchased/and is being used for preschool age groups. Participants must have access to the 6 Volumes of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool during each session. For successful completion and award of 1.2 CEUs, participants are required to attend all 4 sessions, maintain a 75% participation rate and complete 2 hours of homework.
OUTCOMES:
Demonstrate use of progressions of development and learning to define goals for children. Develop strategies to integrate content learning into daily lesson planning. Use long-term investigations with embedded learning opportunities to help children find answers to their questions. Description: This instructor-led course is appropriate for administrative staff, directors and teachers of 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old children. Participants will learn Dialogic Reading as a strategy used with books to promote vocabulary and oral language skills. In Dialogic Reading, the book becomes a shared visual and verbal context in which you and your children can learn new words. This course consists of three learning components: the online or instructorled component, a lesson planning and practice component, and a virtual reflection session. This course meets 5 hours of the emergent literacy course requirement for VPK educators. Upon completion of all three learning components participants will receive 5 hours/.5 CEU credits
Special Note: Participants must register on the DCF Child Care Training website at https://training01-dcf.myflorida.com/ studentsite/admin/signin. Use Course Reference #9973. This course meets twice. November 3, 2022 will be 3 hours completing Component 1 of the course. December 1, 2022 will be one hour completing Component 3. Participants will complete Component 2 on their own between sessions. All components must be completed for credit. The Zoom will be locked after 15 minutes.
OUTCOMES:
Educators will implement Dialogic Reading in the Preschool Classroom. Children will increase the size and diversity of their knowledge about the world and the words used to describe it.
