CHRIS & MIMI 14 JULY 2023

“Living beautifully doesn’t stop at how things look; it’s how they feel, what they are made of, where they come from, and ultimately, how they cohesively work together.”

LIVING ROOM/ KITCHEN FURNITURE OPTION 1

Detail of woven back- all-weather wicker basket weave

Starting with the Crate & Barrel 83" lounger sofa (41" deep version), adding an 8 x10 area wool rug with a subtle diamond pattern, a timber coffee table with a curved base and a lounge chair with a slightly Scandinavian touch The open arms of the chair help the piece feel light The barstools are indoor/ outdoor and feature a cool textured weave on the back, providing a layer of texture to the kitchen

FIREPLACE WALL- OPTION 1

Note- sketch only- need to conf rm locations of bulkheads & vent

Timber slats clad the entire wall giving the room warmth A matte black metal sheet surrounds the f replace wh ch rests on a plinth of stone- bringing another element to the wall This slatted design element could tie in with a similar feature in front of the studio The TV is mounted at 42" on center

LIVING ROOM/ KITCHEN FURNITURE OPTION 2

Starting with the Crate & Barrel 83" lounger sofa (41" deep version) adding a durab e, easy to mainta n area rug (100% polyester) a beautiful oval marble table with a fluted base and a lounge chair with an interesting woven deta led back (image far right) Hans Wegner wishbone inspired barstools at the bar

FIREPLACE WALL- OPTION 2

A loose interpretation of the above concept image- the fireplace is enclosed in a curved wall that emerges from the stair wall and dies into the wa l by the window The fireplace is currently set 7" from the long wall on account of the bump out- but if the bump out doesn't run the full length of the wal then the f replace and curved wa l could be be set back and not encroach as much into the living space The TV is mounted at 42" on center

Another way to create a curved wall- here the wall is furred out n a ozenge shape with a recessed TV above and the fireplace below As your fireplace is in a box the effect wil be different then the inspiration image- but we can still mix materials with a stone base, a timber paneled wall above The TV is mounted at 45" on center
